+ 0 moreDue to advice I'd received, I decided to go ahead and tear out part of the wood floors in the living room so that the joists and main beam were exposed. It made the job go easier I believe, and perhaps the result was better. I had hoped that this would decrease the total job price a bit more, but still came out about the same. However, Eric did correct some other damaged places in the crawl space that were not apparent at the first estimate.
Description of Work: I've used Eric in the past for termite damage. On this particular job, I had an investment property with extensive termite damage underneath the house (main beam, about 20-25 joists, and a sill plate along the side of the house needed to be replaced / sistered.) The floors inside the house were sunken and dipping - I need to straighten things out. The quote from Cygnus construction was on the lower end of all the quotes I received for the job (about 5 total.) They are always very well organized and professional, will show up to do the job when they say they will, and will stick to the quoted price. At the end of the job I also had them do some work to straighten out the kitchen floor, which had also sunk due to weight and span; they put down an extra girder and pillar system.
