Conscious Cuts Universal Services

He brought somebody with him and they cut some bushes. They didn't stay the whole time. They were very polite, but I was not very comfortable. I just don't want them to come back here anymore. The pricing was fine and the quality was pretty good.

I prepaid to have some bushes trimmed back on the side of my house so we could move forward with getting the house painted. This company does not return phone calls. This company does not show up or even have the courtesy of calling and saying "we need to reschedule." When I finally got Carson on the phone one week ago after trying to get him to respond to my messages, he said he would for sure be here today. Nope. Didn't show. And when I tried to call his phone says "This subscriber is not receiving messages at this time." Great job Angie's list. We count on you to weed these people out. I want my $79.00 refunded. And I want to cancel my membership as this is not what we pay for. I feel stupid for prepaying for work, I should have known better.

They rescheduled with me twice and then showed up over an hour late when they did finally come - I ended up missing work because of this. If you schedule an appointment for a certain time, you can't change it to a range of time afterwards. And, if you schedule an appointment, keep it - don't over schedule your calendar.

They came out very quickly after purchasing the deal and did a good job. They were also very polite and professional. They were someone that you would be inclined to use again.

He did a marvelous job. We were more than satisfied!

All phases of the work went incredibly well. Conscious Cuts arrived a few minutes early and introduced themselves to us. While we were walking the area to have trimmed with the foreman the helper was already getting the material from the van. The foreman reviewed what we wanted before work began. All trimming was done and completed in a very professional way and both men were both polite and professional in every way. All I can say is that we will not hesitate to recommend Conscious to anyone.

Carson is a nice guy and he did come to my house one time last year and did a great job. He said he did not know it was so far away from his base location but he honored the Angie's List deal. So I purchased another deal this February to try to get him and his crew back here but once he remembered where I live, he called to say it was just too far to travel and wished me well. With gas prices what they are, I can't blame him.

I emailed the service provider requesting a date be coordinated for the yard service. This was in September 2013. I then called and left several messages. The assistance stated they were very busy and it may take a few weeks for the service to be scheduled They took several weeks to respond via email. I provided several dates. I work from home so my schedule is extremely flexible. The assistant chose the best date for the crew. They did not show up that day, nor call to cancel. I called again, we played phone tag for several weeks. I scheduled another date. They did not show nor called to cancel. I emailed them to request a refund. By this time the summer and fall season was over. There was no need for their services in winter. I did not receive a response. So, I called Angie's list help line in mid January. I misunderstood the agent and thought he told me to contact the service provider again when in acuality he sent an email with this form but it must have been forwarded to my spam folder. I contacted the helpline again today.

Provider had poor communication, contacted me but did not show.

On time, very, very friendly. Professional. Will use again.

I purchased a landscaping deal on Nov 17 from a provider I had used before. I provided him with 3 suggested service dates through your message center on that date. The first time he responded was Dec 10, apologizing for not contacting me and asking for some additional dates. On Dec 12, I basically gave him a blank calendar and said any date he was available would be fine. I have heard nothing from him. The weather is not frigid and my deal expires Feb 15th. I wrote him a very terse note on Jan 20th and have had no response. I am pleased that the provider has contacted me and scheduled to honor the deal on Monday Feb 10th.

The first visit went ok. It was enough time to part of the yard. Since I allowed them to dump the leaves at the back of my property they also did not have removal or dump fees. Keep in mind they remove and cleanup and are not landscapers. My wife and I needed to guide them so our flowers and expensive bushes remained. Since I now had part of the yard done I hired them to finish the job. I even hired them to do my daughters yard, which was to be cleaned the day after mine. That was about 2 weeks ago. Since that time the did text my wife for the next 2 days regarding weather delays. They promised to be here the 3rd day. That is the last I heard from them. Repeated calls, texts and emails to him and Nora went unanswered. My daughter and I are now looking for someone to finish the job. I can only say two words BUYER BEWARE! They are a small start up company who is overloaded, so expect delays and reschedules

It did not turn out as good as I had hoped. It took a long time to get the service scheduled. They called a half an hour before they were suppose to show up on a visit and they canceled due to rain. The guy was very nice and he said he would bring more people to get the work taken care of and he did not bring that amount of people when doing the work. They did part of the work and it was not finished. He told me that they would follow up and they never did. The gentleman was very kind but it did seem that they were overwhelmed with the Big Deals that they had to take care of.

After much "back and forth" I was able to schedule the service I purchased through Angie's List. It was about 4 hours of work for $80. It was scheduled for Monday at 9:00 but I asked if we could push it to 9:15 so I could drop my daughter off at preschool. So I received a message back changing the time to 12:00. Again I asked if we could make it 12:15 so that I had time to return from picking her up from preschool. I never received a reply. I waited until 2:00 that day and nobody showed up. I call that day and nobody answered. I called later that week and nobody answered and nobody returned my call.

They did a good job. They followed up recently to ask if we needed any additional work. They were friendly and helpful to work with.

I was very happy with them. They had two guys come out and they counted that as the four hours total. They were both only at my home for two hours and I thought they would have been at my home for half a day. I did feel it should have been explained better in the Big Deal. I was happy with the service and I am planning on using them again. It did rain and we had to reschedule the first appointment.

They did a great job. They were very cordial and they provided an adequate service. It did take a long time to get them scheduled due to the special so I had them do extra work when they were at my home. They were nice to work with and they worked very hard when they were at my home.

I had to get a refund on the Big Deal as it did take a while to get in touch with them. They were not able to do the service as quick as needed. I found a different provider that took care of the work a lot quicker. They were fine to work with over the phone. My husband said the people came to our door and that was after I received the refund. It must not have been communicated with them that we had the service provided by a different company.

Left numerous messages-one reply-said would call back-nothing since. Hired someone else. Called and apologized. Been having issues with his message service. Came out and did extra work for original price. Team did a good job. Will use again in future.

They never came over. They cancelled twice on the day in question with no advance notice after my husband arranged to be at home. No word from them since. We want a full refund. We do not want further contact with them.

This experience with Carson has been so extremely frustrating. It is hard to believe that others find him to be such a good worker and I can't even get him to honor my deal that I spent $100 on in August (yes, 3 months ago). I needed him to move a mattress/box spring and TV set up to my guest room for the holiday. Now my guest will have to sleep on the floor. I also needed him to get the garage organized so we could get our car in it ASAP. My neighborhood has restrictions on cars being parked on the street, so we need to have our driveway available for our guests to park. Basically, Carson has ruined our Thanksgiving as we are scrambling to find someone else who can possible do this last minute.

Carson is always cheerful and will fix ANYTHING you ask for. Such a pleasure versus another person I used to use.

Went very well...I am very impressed with Carson and his drive to do what is necessary to get the job done. I am beginning to think there is nothing he and his crew cannot do. They are very willing and have a great "can do" attitude. He trimmed limbs and removed tree limbs and picked up leaves very consciously and quick -- there is no wasting of time. He works very hard and very conscientiously and you can tell he appreciates the opportunity to be helpful. Great to work with and will definitely call again!

We found this company through a "Big Deal" on Angie's List. We purchased the "Big Deal" and tried to set up a date for them to come out and do the work. We had several misses before we were finally able to get a date from them and have them come out to do the work. Our understanding is the scheduling difficulties were caused by the overwhelming response they had received from running multiple "Big Deals" at the same time. This was really the only negative part of our experience with them. Once they got here, Carson was very friendly, walked around with my wife and confirmed all the work to be done, and then did the work. They were very professional, did very good work, and cleaned everything up before leaving.

Carson had to change appointment day due to weather. He more than compensated by coming back another day to cut down a bush with a power saw and trim some tree branches that were hanging over walkway into the street. His crew was professional and took pride in their work, It seemed important to them that I thought they did their best job. I agreed. I have always done my own yard work but they did a much better job and I'll be using them again and I purchased a gift certificate for my sister's yard. Carson came by to check the work himself and gave me some gardening tips.
