+ -1 moreInitially we contracted for six very expensive windows, but soon realized we could not afford it after all (an unexpected change in income). Their contract indicated that our 1/3 down payment would not be refunded in any way. I was quite distraught at this and contacted a lawyer for possible remedies. After several phone calls they agreed to perform 1/3 of the work for 1/3 of the full contract price. I had to contact them to arrange for measurement of the existing windows, and I had to contact them twice to find out when installation would happen. I feel that their lack of responsiveness was because of the relatively small job ours had become. Our problems with the company, headquartered in Hanover, Maryland, were unique to our circumstances, and do not reflect on the company as a whole. Although their windows cost about $800 each, which seems very high, our previous dealings with them have not resulted in any problems with the company or the product.
Description of Work: Replaced two windows.

+ -1 moreOverall, from the first meeting to the install we're completely satisfied. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Eric Tucker, marketing director, came out in November and explained all the features of the windows as well as the lifetime transferable warranty. He also gave a history of Capital. Eric was very professional and never pressured us. We placed our order for 23 windows and approximately 6 weeks later we were called and scheduled the install. Several days prior to the install a snow storm was forecast on the night before the install. I called the contact person at the factory and we easily changed the install date. The crew arrived on time (3 men) and within the first hour had removed the old windows and placed the new windows in place. A second crew arrived around lunch and by 230pm the work was finished. They did an excellent job installing, caulking inside and out, measuring cutting and installing the aluminum trim as well as cleanup.

+ -1 moreThe solicitor I interacted caused major problems; she is no longer with the company. She kept changing the dates on installation and that caused me difficulties. They tried to accommodate me with their financing but the terms were not to my liking, I ended up getting my own financing. The company discounted some charges to help make up for the difficulties.
Description of Work: I got new windows; they are Great View windows by Vytex. They are made in Maryland. The installation and product was good.
