I asked Bath Planet for an estimate, upon completion of estimate, I was asked to pay a $100 deposit, and given 3 days to cancel with a refund. The company when ahead and ordered materials without my permission, and I was HARASSED , they constantly called to come by to get a check or they would just show up leaving business cards with notes in my door requesting a $6800.00 check and to get started because the materials were in. At this point I felt I had to hire them, once started Randy was polite and professional on the first 2 visits the shower was installed in 2 days. but there were some discrepencies, he used primer on the ceiling to cover up the caulking and poor mud work around the ceiling, there was a cut in the sheetrock about an inch to 2 long which he put mud on it and told me I had to sand and repaint it, there were scrapes in the sheetrock where they bought the materials in and also caulking drippings in various spaces on the wall and baseboards, I requested them to come back and correct it, what a disaster, they changed the caulking color around the top of the shower and the and the mud work was sloppy, they still requested another check so I gave them $3800, but on this visit Randy used my personal bathroom in my master suite, I was very unhappy with this, when I spoke to James Scaife he told me you can not help when mother nature calls, I told him aIl did not want Randy to come back to my home any more as I felt disrespected, He (James Scaife) in turn told me you are not going to tell us how to run our business, I in turn told him and you are not going to tell me who to let in my home. MIKE BREXLER came out to look at the finished project and agreed it needed to be touched up, So Ted was sent out and he made me feel confident that the project would be completed professionally, was I wrong, this turned out to be a complete disaster, The mud work was super sloppy, the caulking was sloppy as well it looked as if he took his entire finger and smeared it on, he agreed to change the color of the paint because we could not match it, (JAMES SCAIFE WAS FURIOUS because he did not get permission to change the paint color, anyway he did not paint behind the mirror, he had paint on the shower walls, paint on baseboards, he RUSHED, there was spots where there was not enough paint coverage, he came out at least 3 more times and never could get it right. his schedule was sketchy, he even wanted to come out on a Sunday. Long story short I ended up getting someone else to correct the damage to the best of his ability. Upon removing the messy caulking, it was discovered that Ted had attempted to cover up knicks in the edge of the shower walls, my contractor was not completely successful in repairing that damage , so they are still visible, THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN PAID $10171.00 balance due $1000, I paid $500.00 for my contractor to repair what they could not seem to fix, I asked JAMES SCAIFE for a partial refund, I was told I will NOT GIVE YOU ONE DIME BACK.. This has been going on for over a year. I went there to get my paperwork after calling 3 times to have it emailed, and was given the run around by MIKE BREXLER. there was an occassion when I asked to speaked to the owner and was told he will not speak to me until I send the contractor estimate, I'm COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED , I received a grant from the VA for this remodel and I THINK IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM, I WILL NEVER USE OR REFER THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Instead of a partial refund JAMES SCAIFE is still demanding $400.00 of the $1000.00 balance

I donâ t like the pressure technique of offering $1000 off if you decide right now. I am happy with the finished product, but I think itâ s wrong to punish customers for shopping around before deciding

I hate paying others to do work that I can do, but we were rushed & I am not fast and have been known to have to redo plumbing. Mom was no longer able to lift self over tub for tub shower & won't let me help & give my wife incredible resistance, so mom's hygiene was getting bad. My wife talked me into letting someone else do it & of the 4 companies we interviewed, Kevin at Bath Planet impressed us the most, gave us the best price by far, best start time & best assurance of a 1-day job. We are very happy with Bath Planet.

Very professional. They laid a drop cloth from the front door to the bathroom. Kept everything nice and clean.

+Price +Good shower install and renovation of bathroom -Delays; salesman told me 1.5 days. In fact there were delays because contractors were not available when the work started and it took 9 days. -Disposal of old bathroom fixtures hasn't happened yet (4 days later) and the trash is still in my front yard-a real eyesore including the old toilet. Has anyone seen the Clampetts? -Contractor did not clean up saw dust from a hole he made in the wall and the bathroom floor had a lot of dust.

Installation went very well but eve4ry drain they worked with was clogged after installation. I never had any problems with my drains before . I live alone

Because of physical and medical issues, I had to replace our bathtub with a walkin shower, as well as repair the flooring under the toilet. I also had them redo the walls an flooring throughout. The finished work was superb. My wife selected the colors she wanted and once the materials arrived the work began. We are 100% satisfied with the work and would recommend them (especially if the same installer was used . TOP NOTCH, TOTAL PROFESSIONAL) to "everyone" looking to do bathroom remodeling.

6 months to remove and install 2 showers. I made repeated calls, left messages. Not one returned call from the Project Manager! No follow-up from the salesperson. Installers are late by several hours every time. Showers left dirty from installation. Just wipe it down! Only 6 months, one shower is separating from wall and corner. The installer is aware of this, it has been a week! I will be building a new house soon. Unfortunately, no second bite at this Apple!!

Doug was very professional every day that he was on site. His outstanding skills in every part of the job was outstanding. We are extremely happy with the final product.

The process for replacing our shower was challenging because of the need to demo, rebuild, and customize the shower to suit our needs. Bath Planet was capable of providing the full service with professional employees capable of creating a beautiful end product.

They were pretty good about getting started, however it was delayed a day after scheduling because they did not have all the material that they needed. We had a new bath installed and new flooring out in. There was some minor problems - most annoyingly, a nail was hammered into the new floor. When they came back to fix the problem they did so efficiently. Now I have a nail in my floor with some silicone over it. The bath did look nice however so if you only want them to do a bath they might be your best bet.

This company made things right. Alvin was very knowledgeable and courteous to us the whole time, he made sure we understood what he was doing and why. Put in safety bars so that we would not slip or fall getting in or out of the shower. GREAT JOB.

Be very specific about what you want. Check quality of components to make sure you know what you are getting. Otherwise very nice installation.

Wall & amp; floor tiling is complete and looks very good. They have been very responsive and cooperative and the pricing was more competitive than bids from contractors locally and in Northern Virginia. We are very pleased with the results of this small bathroom remodeling, which required some rescheduling due to a problem with the vanity top not fitting following a mistake made by Lowe's with their manufacturer. Once the job was finished, I had a few questions/concerns and they rescheduled the remodeler to return and take care of those concerns promptly. I had someone from their HQ call me directly throughout the process and very much appreciate that type of customer service and followup! When you find a contractor with this type of service it pays to keep their name for any followup projects.

The project took a lot longer than I was told. They didn’t work on weekends, so I had make a lot of arrangements to provide them access to my home during the week. Overall, the project was a success, but there were some instances where a little more attention to detail would have been appreciated.
