We are very pleased with them. They are really good. They have an arborist who meets with you every year. I had storm damage and I called them up and they were out here the same day. I have big trees and I had cables put in them. I had storm damage and didn't have the cables, so I had some serious damage. I have the cables in there now so that is fine. We had part cut off because it was dead and we had a cable going through that branch, so they had to move the whole cable over. The price is always more than what you want to pay, but the price is fair.

I contacted William Poad @ Bartlett Tree Experts in May 2014. On May 13, 2014, Mr. Poad came to my home to assess approximately 15-20 trees on my property that I felt needed fertilization to thrive. He emailed me a quote that same evening. I never heard from him again. I emailed him back saying the quote look sufficient and we would like to proceed. For the next 4 months, I continued to email and call him, leaving voice mail messages in an attempt to schedule this service. After 4 months with no response and no treatment for our trees, I contacted another tree service company who responded within 3 days and provided service. In October 2014, I looked outside and saw a technician from Bartlett Tree Experts in our yard attempting to begin fertilization of our trees. I informed him Bartlett Tree Service was not to perform any service on any of our trees, that I had not heard from anyone for over 5 months and we had retained another company's services. He promptly left. On December 1, 2014 I received a bill for $230 from Bartlett Tree Experts informing me they had been to my home on November 17, 2014 and treated all of the trees on my property without our permission nor our knowledge. This company and in particular William Poad are completely unprofessional and unethical. Mr. Poad and Bartlett Tree Service had been informed multiple times that we were not using their service and to not treat any trees on our property. They then showed up on a day when no one was home and proceeded to not only treat these trees, but bill us. I will now have to wait to see if my trees suffer any damage from being over-treated as a result of this unauthorized service. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Just call him and find out for yourself! I am honest about this review. In fact I have him coming out to clean up all the debris from lack of care of this lake house.

Very responsive. I like them a lot. But price is on the high side.

I really liked the guy who came out and gave me the price. He was great. They came out and did the work. I wasn’t home and they did not do everything that they said that were going to do; so they had to come out and re-do it. Other than that, I worked with another guy in Richmond and I did not like him at all. I did not like his quote and his personality; so I did not call him back again. He was from the same company.

Plywood on yard. Took dedris away without damaging yard. Yea!

They showed up at 7:30 a.m. Polite, wonderful professionals. We spent much of that day watching professionals (his name is Rick) scramble up our trees to take down limbs that overhung our roof areas. These guys go up on ropes, not stakes. The cleanup was wonderful. Dunno what more I can say. This is a preliminary review - Bartlett will re-visit our property twice during April: once to provide soil care and fertilization; and during a second and to perform a foliage treatment for pest management. Bartlett's attention to detail is marvelous. The invoice for the first phase provided an exhaustive list of all of the work done, leaving us with a concise record for future reference.

Bartlett Tree Experts are very professional and knowledgeable. I like them. I don't know if we'll be using them, because we're still going to get other estimates. They seem a little high to me, for what we want done.

Very impressed with this group. Knowledgeable arborist provided free estimate. Friendly and professional. Work was performed as described the very next day. $574 seems like a lot for less than an hour of work, but I suppose it's worth a little extra to have such a hassle-free experience.

they climbed the tree and did not use a truck. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it for the price quoted. Arborist was very professional and courteous and was there to supervise the job.

They do what they say they are going to do. They are very polite and respectful. They are wonderful. We couldn't be happier. Price was fair.

I've used Bartlett for years to take care of my trees and larger shrubs on a property in VA. I'm not on site, but they seem to perform pretty much according to their contract. Treatment dates may vary depending on conditions. All in all, I've been very pleased with the service they've provided. Professional and knowledgeable.

They are an excellent company to work with. They have great follow up and great communication. They make me aware of when they are coming and what work they are doing. I have used them for about a year and have had no issues with their service. They give the customer several options on work so you are able to pick and choose the service you want. I give their service an A+.

They do excellent work. I like that they are very easy to work with and very conscientious of the tree since the tree hangs over a deck. The tree was struck by lightning and damaged. They were informative about the health status of the tree and the tree is fine. I see no room for improvements. The arborist that came out to assess the work was very informative and explained everything in detail.

I thought the work turned out well. I found that the consultation prior to the work was very professional. The crew showed up on time and got the work done in one day, which I liked. Also, the pricing was very reasonable. Once the work was done, they removed all of the debris. Overall, they did the job well, on time, and on budget.

They have been very good. They are very responsive to our calls. They have been able to save some of our trees. We have been pleased with their service. We have different treatment done at different times during the year. We have been using their services for 5 years with no issues on any level.

Bartlett Tree Experts were contacted for me by my insurance company after a tree fell on my house during a storm. They were able to come out within a day or so (I didn't have any major damage). Every person I dealt with was incredibly polite, professional and just plain nice. They did an amazing job with the cleanup and recommended that I have another tree taken down at the same time since it was dead and they were already on scene. I don't know what the price was because it was all taken care of through my insurance company.

Bartlett Tree Service sent a certified arborist to my home to assess my situation and provide a quote. Their arborist, Greg Crews was punctual, professional and gave me a detailed tutorial on the health of a tree we were trying to save, how to best protect the tree when we paved over some of the tree roots and gave a very competitive bid to treat a diseased portion of the tree. While I did not end up contracting Bartlett to do the work, I was very impressed with the their service and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Called a day early and stated they were available to come and perform work. Were at the house most of day and did a great job. Cleaned up after the job was completed. They were responsive to our calls and questions-professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Ethan Crockett came out and spent over an hour with me going over all the work I wanted to have done. There were several old, big trees to be taken down and some large pines that needed to be cut back. There were several smaller trees to be removed and ivy growing up several trees that needed to be taken out so the trees wouldn't die. That was the last I heard from him or Bartlett Tree. I have called twice and still have not heard from then regarding an estimate. Maybe the job was too big for them.

Over the years we have used Bartlett and they have always provided exceptional services. The last job that they did was to remove an enormous white oak that that was increasingly leaning over the house as the years progressed. Heavy equipment could not be positioned properly so they tree was brought down in small sections. Since the work was done over and around the house, an error could have caused structural damage. They have also provided disease-control services mainly in the area of bag worm control.

Bartlett came out to meet with us and provide a quote for the work. Since we were leaving for vacation, they performed the work in our absence, but apparently sent someone else who had not been to our house before. The results of the pruning were not at all what we had discussed: the top of the tree had been completely chopped off, there were many ragged cuts, and lots of small dead branches were still attached. While we were disappointed with the work they performed, we've been impressed with how their local office has handled our complaint. Not only did they send someone out quickly to take a look, but also offered us a full refund and multiple sincere apologies. They have agreed to work with us over the next year or so to help our tree recover, including additional fertilization and pruning if needed (at no charge). Due to their solid customer service, we would think about using Bartlett again, as long as the person coming out for the quote is also the one who actually performs the work.
