I was referred to Brent, owner of B. Lilly Custom Painting LLC by a neighbor in my building. She had used Brent in the past and was very pleased with his work. Recently we realized that we both wanted to have some painting done in our condos, so she suggested that we schedule the work for the same day. It worked out perfectly! Brent was easy to work with on scheduling an onsite visit to provide a quote, as well as flexible with his calendar to accomodate our work schedules. So we booked the job and I was so excited because I absolutely hate painting and I have wanted my bedroom painted green for the past 5 years! On the day of the project, Brent was right on time! He had even picked up the paint for me after I provided him with the brand/color name/number, which made things a lot easier since I wouldn't have any clue as to how much paint to buy. I was very impressed with the speed and accuracy of Brent's painting. He hand-cut (no tape!!!) everything and applied two beautfiul coats in no time at all. I was very impressed - no drips, missed spots, or mess! AND...I finally have my green bedroom and chalkboard wall in the kitchen!!!...Brent is very professional. The quality and affordability of his work makes it very easy for me to use him again, promote his business in my condo association, refer him to friends and family, and provide an endorsement here on Angie's List. In fact, I've already referred him to one friend. And, on another note...as a single woman I'm always leary of letting a stranger into my home, but Brent is very kind, professional, easy to talk to, and I never felt uneasy about being alone with him in my home.

Brent Lilly is truly an expert of his craft. His ability to transform a room, and attention to detail is amazing. He is extremely pleasant to work with and has a "take time to do it the right way" attitude. He even made me a "custom color" which I ended up using for the entire first floor of my home! The owner, Brent Lilly, responded to my call for an estimate within 3 hours. He arrived the next day to look at the job and provided me with a written estimate at that time. He was busy so could not do my painting until the following week (which was fine with me) so when he arrived the following week (promptly on time) he proceeded to complete all the painting in one day. Brent is so personable, clean and neat, and very reasonable with his prices...not to mention that he is a fantastic painter. I sometimes try to find a place where he got out of line, but it is impossible. He is just THE BEST at what he does!!

Brent was a joy to work with. He was punctual, neat, and most times I barely knew he was there. No messy cans and bins and brushes laying around and always cleaned up before he left for the day. He worked around my schedule and boxes. ( we just moved in). He even rearranged his schedule to try to get in prior to the movers coming so we could get some rooms done ahead of time. He was patient with the kids choices and helped make their rooms everything they envisioned- making a difficult move for them a little easier. The house had a ton of cut ins and high cathedral ceilings and being a one man show, he did an amazing job. His work is meticulous! His work is very reasonably priced, and he grew up in Richmond. I like the idea of supporting a local businessman. He also let the dogs out for me when they whined to go out when I wasn't home and gave me some great suggestions for restaurants. He has done work for several friends and comes highly recommended!! I would hire him again in a heartbeat!
