I called to get a quote and they priced me at $149 to get me back in to my house. I'm glad I decided to call someone else because they only charged me $65. It is upsetting to me that this company price qouges so much.

It went well. Showed up on time and did the work I needed quickly.

Scott Crocker performed the work. He was efficient and professional. I felt very comfortable having him in the home. he came out the next day when we had an issue with one of the locks and tuned it up immediately so that it was working easily. He guaranteed the work for the duration of one year. If we needed future lock work, I would request Scott Crocker.

The owner came to help me and I was very happy to have someone come over quickly, be professional and charge me at least 25% less for the same service a different locksmith was offering.

They were on time, great job, and very happy with the results.

We bought a home and needed it all rekeyed, as well as the replacement of a faulty doorknob. American Lock & Key was punctual, reasonably priced, and fast. My locksmith even advised me how best to save money on their services. I would definitely recommend them.

I called at 9am and Scott showed up by about 11am, fast service. Scott was extremely competent, obviously well versed and handled the job easily. Good guy too. Defeated the deadbolts within minutes and had the back doors re-keyed in short order. Thanks very much a job well done!

The door is very old wrought iron. My mom loves it and doesnt want a new door so we are trying to find replacement parts for it. Scott was excellent he did a temporary fix while he does research for the parts.needed.

They told me that they could fix it on the same day I called by going to their office on 2110 Spencer Road. They initially told me that the price would be $93.69, having made the assumption that the job would only take an hour. It ended up taking close to three hours. They explained to me how Honda made their locks differently from other car makers, leading to trouble with locks in a lot of Honda vehicles. They get a lot of business from Honda owners. They were very interested in getting my lock to work properly and were not satisfied when the key encountered a little "catch" in going into the lock. After replacing parts of the lock and still not getting it exactly right, they finally made another car key. This finally worked. They told me that they normally charge $80 an hour, but since they had quoted a price of $93.69, that would be the final charge. I told them that I could pay more for their time, but they turned down my offer.

Great. They replied quickly to my request and I was able to get it fixed with little disruption to my work schedule. The gentleman was pleasant, competent, and professional. I would recommend them for this service!

Excellent work! The front door deadbolt decided to no longer open the weekend of the Richmond Folk Festival which I wanted to see as much as possible. John, from American Lock & Key worked with my schedule and actually came twice, once on Saturday to scope out the issue and once on Sunday morning to complete the repairs. In addition to the deadbolt he resolved another issue on the second lock on the door. Professional and punctual John provided quality service at a fair price. I will be using American Lock & Key for future lock needs.

Scott was professional and helpful. He explained what was wrong and how it could be fixed. The visit was less expensive than I thought it would be, because he repaired a lock I thought would have to be replaced. After adjusting and lubing all locks, Scott explained how to maintain them so that they do not become sticky in the future. I am very happy with the service I received.

The real problem was not so much the lock as the shifting foundation. I thought the locksmith did what he could to fix the problem.

He was very professional, friendly, and not rattled at all by all the commotion. I have had an opportunity to speak with Sam and was impressed with his professionalism. It took longer than expected and I was charged more than the standard price, but he got it open and I got that piece of junk disposed of! The provider was nice, persistent at the task and very professional. He cleaned up all the metal shavings from the drilling. He explained what the safe would no longer be able to withstand since it had been compromised by the drilled holes. I appreciated being told that. I would definitely call American Lock and Key again.

Mike arrived about 30 minutes after I called, quickly identified the problem and its solution. Had necessary parts in the truck, finished the job within an hour. Could not ask for a more competent and personable worker.

Mike was most knowledgable and polite. He worked quickly and left no mess. The feeling of security that having a safe house is irreplaceable. Mike made us feel safe. The owner, Barry, came by towards the end of the installation. He brought in an extra lock so that Mike would not have to leave our house. Mike and Barry have set a standard that will be hard to match from any other company. While my husband wanted top of the line electronic locks, their prices WERE very much in line with other providers and even less than some. The bulk of our cost was our four electronic locks. My husband and I are more than satisfied with the price and workmanship! Thank you Mike and Barry!

We had just bought the house and we were getting the locks changed so we went off of a recommendation from our realtor (turned out the company was on Angie's list as well). The technician was courteous and punctual. The quote was what they said it would be and the tech even adjusted the door so it wouldn't bind anymore.
