Air-Pro Mechanical LLC

My heat pump failed on a hot day last summer. I called Air-Pro Mechanical and was pleased that the Air-Pro technician was able to fix it on the same day. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. The repair required replacing a failed condenser capacitor. The cost was $90 for a replacement capacitor and $134 for labor. The technician did not have an exact replacement for the capacitor on his truck so, installed a capacitor that was close in capacitance. I believed that in the long run, it would be better to have an exact replacement capacitor so, I purchased one on Amazon for $20 and easily swapped it for the one that was installed by the technician. It seems to me that charging $90 for a $20 capacitor is an unreasonable mark-up. This is my only complaint. I would consider using Air-Pro again.

I got this company from Angie's List and they came out on time. They did a good job of coming promptly and provide very good service. I don' have negative to tell them. I didn't pursue on using their service.

Smoothly with an absolute minimum of problems.

We had been very satisfied with Central Environmental Systems (CES), who were bought by Air-Pro; so we signed a maintenance contract with Air Pro last spring. The spring maintenance check up went normally because the guy who inspected our air conditioner was the same one that had worked with CES and our maintenance appointments. On Oct. 12 a fellow we did not know (Andrew) came to do our maintenance check. He was very quick to get done. Since the maintenance work always includes cleaning our reusable air filter, my husband asked if Andrew would be cleaning the air filter. Andrew said it did not need it . He wrote a number of items he had checked on the service order, which only had blank lines in contrast to CES service order that had details about what was done and readings in the maintenance check. After Andrew left, my husband checked the air filter. Since it had not been cleaned since the spring maintenance check, it was very dusty. I called the phone number on the service order, and it was wrong! Twice a fellow answered my phone calls and said he had had that number for a long time and that people called him often, asking for Air Pro. I looked in the phone book to find the right number for Air-Pro. When I complained to Walt (the manager) about the dirty filter and quick job that Andrew had done, Walt said he would come to our house to check the filter. When Walt came, he found that the filter was indeed very dusty and used water spray to clean it. My husband asked Walt about the carbon monoxide emissions adjustment, and Walt said he would send someone to our house to check on it. We never heard another word from him.

This provider of equipment and service was recommended by the electrician with whom we had contracted for the installation of a 14-circuit automatic emergency transfer switch. Air-Pro Mechanical responded immediately after my initial meeting with the electrical contractor. He went over what we were seeking and asked all the appropriate questions. He was quickly responsive with an estimate. Upon our acceptance of the estimate, he immediately responded back to set up an installation date. The contractor's plumber came as promised to extend the gas line to the location where the generator would be set. Then the installation crew arrived shortly thereafter to deliver and install and connect the generator to the gas line. The electrical connection between the generator and the service panel was handled by the electrical contractor. But the operation of the generator itself was overseen by Air-Pro Mechanical. After thorough testing by the electrical contractor, Air-Pro Mechanical ran their own tests to ensure that the system operated as expected. Our experience with Air-Pro Mechanical was so satisfactory that we switched our service agreement for our HVAC from another local service to Air-Pro Mechanical and also recommended them to someone else for industrial work.
