ADKINS LIGHTING CTR

I ordered a ceiling fan for our master bedroom from Adkins Lighting Center. During my initial visit to shop for the ceiling fan, the staff was helpful and provided numerous catalogs for me to browse. When I found a few options I liked that were made by one company, they gave me a copy of the catalog to take home. I made my final decision at home and followed up with several questions by email, which were all promptly answered by Carol. I ordered the ceiling fan over the phone. Carol called when it arrived a few days later and I picked it up from the store. I had an electrician install the fan. Although the light worked, the motor did not and the fan blades wouldn't move. I called Adkins to tell them about the problem, and Mark Edwards responded right away and ordered another ceiling fan, which was under warranty for parts, but not for labor. Of course I was in a bad situation because I had paid $272 for a master certified electrician to install the fan, and the ceiling fan company's policy did not cover labor. When the new fan came in, Mark offered to have his driver pick up the original fan and test the new one. He tested the original fan first, and to everyone's surprise, it worked! So then it was clear that the problem was not the fan but the electrician. Mark had the original fan delivered back to my house, free of charge, and I was then able to resolve the problem satisfactorily with the electrical company. The fan is now installed in our bedroom, and it looks and works great! I was extremely impressed with Mark's responsiveness and dedication to resolving a problem that was not his fault. This was a very refreshing example of excellent customer service!
