Nice Guys & A Truck

I have 12 e-mail correspondences with Adam, the owner, regarding my move. He was very prompt at returning my e-mails and was very flexible scheduling my move and his price was fantastic. 'Nice Guys & A Truck' never showed up. Because I had to be at work, my father traveled to DC to supervise my move. He waited around for 2 hours outside my building, sitting on a street corner, waiting for Adam. He left numerous voicemails on his phone. For the first 3 hours, his phone went directly to voicemail each time like it wasn't even on. I also tried to call Adam and sent him an e-mail letting him know that my dad was waiting outside and to please let me know if there were any problems. 'Nice Guys & A Truck' never returned our calls. 'Nice Guys & A Truck' never returned my e-mail or any subsequent e-mail. They still haven't. Because of Adam, I was forced to find another mover. My pod was scheduled for pick-up the next day so my mover choices were limited. Adam's complete incompetence, lack of responsibility, and immaturity cost me an additional $200 in moving fees above what I would have paid if he would have done his job and just showed up. I've moved a lot. It is completely understandable to run late or even reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. Things happen. You just be professional about it and call the customer to tell them the situation. It is NOT acceptable to just not show up, not answer your phone, not respond to e-mails, and not return voicemails.

I committed to writing a good review for Nice Guys and a Truck after my recent experience with their moving service. To say I underestimated the size of my move is, in itself, an understatement. Adam had provided me a fair quote, in advance, based on the information I provided regarding the moving of my goods. When he and a mover arrived, I had far more'stuff' than they had expected, but Adam handled the situation with complete professionalism. Instead of running for the hills, Adam fairly and kindly repriced the job and went to work. He and his other mover did a great job given they had to make 3 trips to the storage facility with a small box truck and just the two guys. They worked hard and maintained complete professionalism and respect when I can only imagine what they would have preferred to say and do. I do highly recommend Nice Guys and a Truck based on a.) the services performed and b.) the professional manner in which the services were executed.

I have worked with Adam several times for my moving and hauling needs. Adam is a very nice guy and completely trustworthy. He is the first person I call when I need to have something moved or hauled. I am shocked that anyone would give him such a poor review...He handles the items he moves with care and has all the professional equipment needed to do his job. He's great! I promise you will be very pleased with his service! A +++ all around.
