Professional, Exceptional, and Caring We hit a GOLDMINE with Marnie Schaar. We bought a house from her in the middle of COVID and it was the most stress-free real-estate transaction we have ever had. We remained friendly after that because she is such a delightful, sweet and caring person. We then wanted to sell that same house 3 years later and did not hesitate to contact her. She is always responsive, did a wonderful job listing our home using the latest technology, social media and direct advertisements independently and hassle-free. Throughout the process, she gave us some great advice, but not without us asking. She respected our privacy and always had answers when needed. She also has the most extensive contacts with contractors, handymen and the city of Reston, which proved to be a great asset. She even arranged for some final touches herself and we simply sent her the money. Whenever I would get stressed out about anything, she would make sure she did everything to alleviate any stress. Her negotiation skills also proved to be stellar, no matter who is on the other side. I can’t emphasize enough what a delight Marnie is; she’s very approachable, even when she is on vacation, or when the issue is not typically a realtor-related one. She is not afraid to take charge and make your transaction smooth using her time and expertise. She has extensive knowledge of the area, particular streets and neighborhoods and is a proud Restonian since early school years. It was such a pleasure having Marnie as our Realtor; she is truly one of a kind and her firm is fantastic, well-equipped, savvy and knowledgeable. Marnie Schaar is a good agent for people who don't like real estate agents. She knew her job well, but she was not a faker or a bully. Her cost was 3%. This endorsement doesn't go to Long & Foster at large, it goes to Marnie Schaar. I wouldn't expect that kind of service from anyone else.
