Fortis Moving Company, LLC

This is the best moving service in the DMV area. I've used other companies in the past, and they don't come close. From the customer service on the phone, to the moving day service, Fortis are grade A. They are professional, efficient, careful, and a pleasure to work with. I've used them multiple times and will continue to refer my friends and family in the area to Fortis.

The moving team was professional, courteous, and responsible. They treated both homes with the utmost respect as if it were their own, they were also very friendly and customer oriented. I would use them again without hesitation, not to mention the affordable cost.

I called 11/20 Sunday morning with an emergency move that was unusual and fairly small. Tracie in customer service had me scheduled and a team dispatched to assist me at noon that SAME day and at a great rate. Erik & Cheko arrived on time and had my items packed and then moved into my storage locker in no time. Both were great in explaining everything and took great care of my possessions . I canâ t tell you what a great experience this was under such tight timeline and what could have been a disaster. Thanks Fortis team I will be using your team in any future projects and/or moves.

We have used 3 different moving companies in recent years, and Fortis was by far the most professional. They were on time, friendly, knew exactly what they were doing, and took great care with all our furniture. I highly recommend them.

The guys were great, I had a few last minute changes and they dealt with it without complaints and within the estimate. They were hard working and fast and were very respectful of our home and furniture.

The estimate was nearly exactly right, they showed up on time and took really good care of my furniture. They even managed the move to a three level townhouse. Tracie was great on the phone and the movers were very friendly.

OMG. These guys are amazing. I initially had some apprehension because of some of the horror stories you hear about shady movers. This company quickly extinguished any doubts I had. Beginning with the first contact (Tracie) who is very good at helping you establish what your needs are and setting up the best arrangement for your move. Thanks, Tracie for gaining our confidence. The team arrived and waisted no time in evaluating the move and getting right into it. They were courteous, professional, attentive to our requests, and even made an unscheduled detour to my storage facility. The move was completed well before the time allotted (scheduled for 8, done in 5) with every item placed and reassembled perfectly. I strongly recommend these guys and will definitely call them again if I need a future move.

These 3 guys were amazing! They moved a very large & heavy credenza & display case down a narrow staircase for me. Wrapped it carefully in blankets & got it down, without a single mark on the wall. They were in and out in no time. I was so impressed. Extremely professional, polite & knew exactly how to get it down a tight stairway. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
