I had a quick turn around on a move from one residence to another. The were quick and efficient. It was a seamless move. They arrived on time and finished before the end of the scheduled move. So thankful they were available. Iâ d originally planned to move with another commercial company but they werenâ t available. Their quote was a great price. Fortis reached out to me and scheduled the move and consultation with a few hours of my request. Very grateful they were available. Nothing broken or damaged to apartment or furniture.

Erik and Mark were incredible! They called me half an hour before they arrived, showed up right on time, took such good care of my things, and were so courteous and kind. They were so quick and efficient, that they didn’t even wake up my napping roommate! They wasted no time, and had the whole job done in a flash. Moving is always by definition stressful, but I can't say enough about how easy Fortis made it. The crew was professional and courteous and they moved my entire townhouse, including a piano and a Peloton!, efficiently and quickly and so so carefully. They treated my belongings with such care and made the whole experience painless. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Fortis was amazing and made our move ten times easier. I have a type A personality and need things to me extremely organized. Our crew met all of my needs, answered all of my questions, and handled our furniture (including a peloton and adjustable bed frame) with ease and care. Not one item broke as we moved from Virginia to Maryland. I was also unable to get a large TV in the box I ordered so the team did it for me. Fortis completed the move in UNDER the estimated time frame as well. If you are looking for a moving company and are worried about people handling your stuff, go with Fortis. They are great!

Fortis moving company was great! They had wonderful communication prior to the move, even sent some links to moving supplies I could buy myself that would save me money. The movers showed up on time and were very professional. Highly satisfied with this company and would definitely use them again in the future!

My movers with Fortis Moving company were Erik, Daniel and Reuben. Eddie was my initial point of contact and he coordinated the move. He was professional, courteous and made sure I was clear about what I could expect on the day of the move (November 2nd). Erik, Daniel & Ruben showed up right on time and they had all of my belongings moved out of my storage unit and on to their truck in 45 minutes. When they arrived at my apartment, they again took less than an hour to get everything moved in. Did I mention this was done while it was raining? Erik even took the time to put my bed together for me. They were very professional and took care of my belongings. Nothing was broken or mishandled. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the entire process. I hope I never have to move again, but if I needed to, I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!!

Fortis is a AMAZING moving company they moved me from a third floor apartment to a third /fourth floor Condo. My furniture is big and bulky but they managed. my patio furniture would not fit through the door so they told me no problem and hoisted it up the side of my condo, very carefully!!! very professional, nothing broke :) I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if I had to. I can't say enough good about this company. If you are moving big or small...Call them!!! One very satisfied customer in Virginia!

They used one truck to move us less than 1 mile away, but they had to make two trips. Never explained why they had to do two separate trips with one truck.

Fortis was great! They were super fast, efficient, and nice! I really loved the care they took with our items and how they got everything in quickly. Would recommend them and use them again if I have to.

Amazing service, amazing team, right on time, extremely courteous people and well rounded team. They knew how to pack, move and were extremely careful with key furniture items. Very straight forward and direct. Constantly in communication with home base and team on the ground during the move.

Excellent, professional help moving heavy items between rooms and floors. Each piece was wrapped and gently moved: 350lb vanity from garage to 2nd floor, antique dining table for 12 and sleep sofa to basement. Also took a load to landfill and delivered a piece to a family memberâ s home. Excellent, respectful service.

Erik, Badvi and Boris did an excellent job moving my furniture and boxes out of my storage unit and into my new home. I had a huge and extremely heavy desk which they amazingly managed to fit through the doorway into my residence. They were professional, very careful with my belongings, and had excellent time management.
