Great service

Make sure that they place the boxes in the right place. I found several boxes in the wrong place despite notes on the boxes as to where they should be, which I then had to move myself. Other than that, I didn't have any issues with them. They were quick, professional, and friendly.

Erik, Lasha and Gio were courteous, on time, and pleasure to work with. They made sure all of our needs were met. Recommend highly.

I needed the movers to arrive first thing because of a limited timeframe on loading dock reservation, and they actually arrived early and didn’t start charging me until the reservation time. The move was fast, and the movers and customer service were easy to work with.

TLDR: The quote that I got isnâ t what I ended up paying (paid 50% more). The service was misrepresented. Lots of damage to furniture and possessions, lots of damage to new place. The quote they gave me was for a â full serviceâ pack and move from 2br apt + storage unit to a townhouse (Arlington to Alexandria). The moving company assured me at least two times over the phone that itâ s full service and they will do everything. Instead, I ended up packing the whole day because there was no way they would finish otherwise. I ended up having to stay at the old place packing while they did the first trip to new place because they didnâ t bring a truck big enough. My wife ended up going to new place to supervise. A bunch of wall corners in the new place were smashed up, furniture was handled carelessly (scratches on dresser, damaged the surface of table), they dropped the box that was marked FRAGILE, breaking everything inside the box, the pieces weren't expensive, but we got them as a gift and had sentimental value, the packing was literally â dump everything into a boxâ (for example cables for home entertainment system werenâ t separated, just dumped on top the speakers). Finally, the quote that I got was for 8hrs, but it ended up being a 13-14hr ordeal, and I had to pack the whole day, even though I got â full serviceâ . Anyways, Iâ m going to take some blame for believing the reps that my apt could be packed and moved in 8hrs. I knew it wasnâ t going to be, but they kept assuring me it will be, I relented. They ended up rushing, and there was a lot of damage. This was my first time attempting a â full service moveâ , lessons were learned. The movers were friendly, the company customer service people were friendly, never using this company again because of the terrible experience.

Highly recommend Fortis for their fast and efficient service, high quality customer treatment at every level and fair pricing. I worked with Scott to schedule our move and he was a pleasure to speak with. Then on the day of the move, Mark and Ruben were super nice and did wonderful work - it was an incredibly cold day and it started snowing out of nowhere.. but that didnâ t slow them down and they finished the job quickly and with no issues. We were very happy to work with Mark and Ruben and will seek out their services again if we need it!

I was a bit concerned initially that Fortis had no negative ratings, but after watching them work I know why. They were prompt, cautious, and still impressively quick. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

My experience with Ford has been awesome. Very responsive to any questions or concerns. The gentleman who moved me were professional and polite! It couldn’t have been a better experience. From my first contact with Fotis Through the planning process on the actual move I couldn’t have been more pleased. Scott was patient and walked me through the whole process from beginning to end. Mark and the crew showed up exactly on time. They were careful with all of my furniture and precious items. The anxiety I felt when I first started considering moving disappeared as I worked with Scott and Mark and my moving turned into a pleasant experience. I I was pleasantly surprised with the cost of the move which I felt was more than reasonable and saved hours Of my friends and families time. I would highly recommend fortis to anyone. In my opinion there isn’t a better moving company or a better group of people to work with than Fortis.

This company was professional. They were running a little but contacted me to inform me. The movers had a difficult time getting my sofa in but wouldn't give up until they figured it out. Great customer service!!!

Good Service

I have moved dozens of times because of military life and corporate work, and Fortis is the best mover I've ever used. Efficient, pleasant, well priced, responsive and they don't miss a thing. They treated my antique secretary like fine china. What's not to like?

These guys were AMAZING, so professional, so polite and above all SO HELPFUL. This was my first big move and they exceeded all of my expectations while taking great care of my belongings! My moving consultant, Tracie, was very kind and answered all of my questions immediately. I would hire these guys again in an instant!

Hired Fortis and I definitely recommend them. The movers were all friendly and professional and definitely worked hard and know their job well. Even tho the move was bigger than estimated (my mistake) the movers proceeded to fully fill the truck with great attitudes. BTW it was a miserable day with rain, snow and wind. Hire Fortis for your move. You will be happy you did. tip... verify contents of home (even basement) to avoid surprises.

Fortis really lived up to their reviews and online reputation. Erik and his crew arrived right at 8 when scheduled, hauled ass l, and finished moving my stuff into the new place within 3 hours from the start. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your moving needs. The reviews are 100 percent on point and accurate.

Tracie was very helpful, accommodating and timely with her responses. Their rate is very reasonable compared to the other 2 movers who provided me with estimates. The movers did an excellent job! They were very courteous, helpful and listened very well to my instructions. I had several pieces of furniture with glass and they were very careful about protecting them. They arrived on time, worked fast, wasted no time, and finished the job in less time than estimated. The movers were very efficient and thorough about placement of my furniture and household effects in storage. I recommend them highly and will hire them again!

Everyone I worked with from Fortis was great; from the customer service rep I booked with to the movers themselves. Cannot recommend enough!
