+ 1 morewe had Damon out for a look at what we wanted done, and wanted an estimate. It has been 4 weeks- and we NEVER heard a word back from him. I think the bigger job made him uneasy.....No return call -no estimate- no nothing. Not sure if he didn't want the job or what, but could have called us back.

+ -1 moreDamon came highly recommended by my fellow realtors. I hired him to correct some problems that arose when I used another contractor. The issues included three toilets that leaked, three electrical outlets that did not pass the county inspection, and some trim to woodwork that had been done. Damon not only performed everything perfectly but he is also very professional, easy to have in our home, and willing to help out when I had a very tight schedule. I will be using him again and also letting my colleagues know to use him.

+ -1 moreWhen my house went under contract and an inspector came in and found a million small things to cite. (Example: ranges have to have an anti tilt device underneath which should come with installation) Damon fixed every item no matter how small from electrical to plumbing. In my new condo he built a beautiful bookcase about 15'X12'X8' with doors on the bottom to accommodate my books and "chackkas". He also installed cabinets, hung mirrors, fans, chandeliers, and gave good suggestions and advice. Damon has excellent taste and does quality work. He is trustworthy- I work full time and gave him a key. He gets the work done in a timely manner.
Description of Work: I was moving from a townhouse to a senior condo. He helped me get the house ready for sale. He also helped me pr foepare my new home for move in.

+ 0 moreWe call him every time we have an issue that needs to be taken care of. He is an excellent craftsman and everything that he does is meticulous. He is very careful about cleaning up as he finishes so it is not like we feel like we are living in a pigsty until he shows up and finishes. It has really been very pleasant to deal with him because he is very professional and an excellent worker. I was brought up in a family with other carpenters so I know that his work is very good. He is a busy person so he can’t always get to us immediately but he always lets us know when his current job is going to be up so that we can schedule to have him come right over to ours when he is finished with his other. He doesn’t leave us high and dry. His punctuality is excellent.

He demonstrated incredible expertise in every aspect of the project: tiling, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. We presented him with a rather complicated tile design, and Damon, with a few modifications, was able to make it a reality. Because Damon works alone, a large or complicated project may take a while to complete. Our hall bathroom project took four months.
Description of Work: Remodeled hall bathroom. Removed existing floor tiles, vanity, tub, toilet, medicine cabinet, and lighting. Installed new porcelain tile floor and wall, tub, toilet, vanity, lighting, and medicine cabinet.

Description of Work: I had Damon add a room to my unfinished basement. He understood my vision and worked unplanned hours to help complete the job because he understood I was in a hurry. Quality was top notch. Above all though, Damon earned my recommendation because of his work ethic and professionalism combined. He is a true throwback. Before Damon I thought contractor pride was the stuff of Hollywood invention. Thank you Damon for softening my cynicism toward your vocation. He asks questions for clarification or for priority setting and consults on decisions regarding colors, product quality, etc. Damon will remain our number one craftsman for all our future projects..

Damon is very personable, meticulous and the work he performed was reasonably priced. While there, he took the time to look over other areas in the condo (kitchen, bathroom and laundry room) where I need to have work done. I will definitely be calling him back to get on his schedule.

+ -1 moreWe;ve used Damon before on multiple small/medium projects in our house to include both electrical and plumbing. He is very professional, provides his hourly rate and an estimate of the time to do the work. This project involved installing a new kitchen faucet and disposal. In our case, he had to remove the sink itself to get the old faucet out, then re-installed everything and cleaned up the area so that you would not even have known anyone had been working in the area. He was the same, when installing recessed lighting in our kitchen. After consulting with us on the type/size of lights we wanted, he picked up all the supplies, installed each of the kits, ran new wires from the switch and cleaned up as if he had not even been there. I consider Damon to be very reliable, efficient with his time and fair with his charged rates. He charges for the actual time spent working and does not look to extend time just to get more money. He makes sure whatever he is working on is done to perfection and if you have any issues, will come back to resolve to your satisfaction.

Description of Work: Damon gained our trust with his creativity and professionalism so that a single first project became a transformation of our home into the place we dreamed it could become--now known as the House of Whimsy. He completely renovated three bathrooms, in two cases down to the studs, and transformed our living room, dining room, kitchen, family room and the bathrooms. In each case, he improved on our ideas and delivered a quality we had not seen in similar work by others. His work included: detailed crown and base molding, drywall, painting (including innovative techniques and textures, marble counters, plumbing, electrical, tile flooring and walls, wall paper, cabinets (kitchen and baths), wood staining, door installations, and more.
