 + -1 moreI called Ridgeway plumbing and arranged for them to come the following day. They called 1/2 hour before arriving. They've repaired the bathtub with parts they had on their truck. They installed the kitchen faucet. The whole job was completed in just over an hour.
Description of Work: Bath tub drain was inoperative. Kitchen Fossett was leaking I had already purchased a replacement I just need it installed.

 + -1 moreThey were approximately on time, and that was the best part of the experience. They snaked the drain in my workshop, and proceeded to sling sewage materials all over the place. They then asked to be paid and left without cleaning up any of their mess. I ended up cleaning up the mess. Called to complain, they offered to comp me the price on the next service they provided. Not a chance!

Some time later, I requested an estimate from Ridgeway to install a new shower unit (replacing an old tub/shower combo). I received a total with no cost breakdown. I tried to obtain further details but received no reply. Eventually, I hired another firm to do the work. This lack of response was disappointing but has no direct bearing on the plumbing work performed earlier.
Description of Work: Early on November 4, just before I had to leave on a trip, I discovered that my upstairs toilet was leaking. This was on a Saturday morning, and several calls yielded no available plumber. Then I tried Ridgeway. A plumber came out right away and stopped the leak, but said the toilet would need to be replaced. He did not charge me extra for an after-hours call and was very cooperative. On November 23, I had the same plumber install a new low-flow toilet. He did so quickly and professionally. However, a couple of days later, I discovered that the new toilet was leaking in the same place as the old one. The plumber returned and fixed the problem but I was unsure why this happened or if something was not done right the first time. Overall, Ridgeway gave good service. There was just the glitch with the toilet installation but that was quickly fixed.

 + -1 moreSince I moved into my new house about a month ago, I've had a "lazily"-flushing toilet. I scheduled an appointment with Ridgeway Plumbing to have the problem fixed. The plumber arrived earlier than the agreed appointment time. After inspecting the toilet, he recommended snaking the bowl at an estimated cost of $84. I agreed, and he went to work. Sure enough, he found an obstruction: several pieces of a Motorola RAZR. He removed the pieces, and the toilet's flush went from a sluggish slurp to a mighty torrent. The final cost for the service call equaled the estimate. I'll spare you photos of the RAZR pieces. You can thank me later.
