GL Jeffrey's Hardwood Flooring

Mr. Jeffreys met with us and very clearly explained the process. He was always on-time if not early. He worked hard and steady throughout the entire project...even when there was no one to help him. Always cleaned up after himself. "Strong work ethic" is almost an understatement in describing him. He finished the project within the time frame that he promised. In summary, he did EXCELLENT work and the floors look great! We're very pleased and would highly recommend!

First of all, Gary was very dependable, and prompt. When he said he was going to be there, or going to do something, he did it. Secondly, he was very knowledgeable and quick to let me know what should be done, and what probably shouldn't. And lastly, he was extremely trustworthy, quickly giving me a feeling of complete confidence in his work. The floors are beautiful, and when it's time to refinish other rooms, he's the one who I'll call.

He did an excellent job and the floors are absolutely stunning. These are original floors and we are very pleased with how it turned out. He was reasonably priced, was a very hard worker, and always showed up on time or early. We would highly recommend him and we would definitely hire him again.

He sanded and poly-urethaned the flooring and did an excellent job. He came when said he would come, he charge what he said he would charge. He communicated everything and the plans that he was going to do, and he got it done very professionally.

Gary refinished two hardwood floors in our house in Goodvies, VA. The floors were battered for 18 years by two people plus four dogs. He showed up on time, was easy to deal with and did a marvelous job. The floors look like new. BILL PHILLER 540 890 2872

What a true craftsman! He refinished floors that had a lot of dog urine stains. He helped me select a perfect stain color. He arrived early, worked all day, and cleaned up before he left. He will lace hardwoods in the kitchen within the next two weeks. I could not have been more pleased with the finished product. I completely trust this person. Very professional. I will give his name and number to my realtor. I purchased this property 3 weeks ago.

Gary was wonderful he was very attentive to my needs to replace and stain new hardwoods in my den to match the other floors in my home.He kept me in the loop of everything being done daily, cleaned and left my home immaculate each day, was very patient with my two dogs and two cats and many questions by me.My new floors are beautiful and would recommend Gary to any one that needs a wonderful experience and beautiful floors.I will be hiring Gary for additional work in November.

He did a really good job, finished ahead of time, worked some really long days to make sure the work was done within our time constraints.

They are very responsive, gave a price upfront, prompt, very clean throughout giving very good instructions on how to maintain the flooring and is very professional. He is not the least expensive, but based on the quality of his work I would use him before anyone else. I will highly recommend him.

The floors had been covered with carpet for over 64 years. It had red oak underneath and it had never been stained or sealed before. He sanded and stained the floors and did an excellent job. He is pleasant, is good on his word, and goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend him and I will definitely use him again.

Gary is the best!! The floors in my 117 year-old farmhouse were in bad shape, and in some rooms had no finish at all. Gary came when he promised, worked tirelessly and my results are nothing short of amazing. The work included rough and finish sanding, sealing, and 2 coats of oil-based polyurethane. Every floor, including corners, is clean and perfect. Also important - he did fine with my German Shepherd. Recommend Gary without reservation.

Mr. Jeffries keeps apointments, keeps you informed during the process. We took out a wall and he has the new wood looking just like original very good job. Installed new shoe moulding better than original.

Had an appt for estimate. He arrived on time. Gave a thorough explanation of services as well as written estimate. Floors beautifully done and in time frame as stated. Very professional.

From start to finish, Gary was excellent! I could tell when he first came to give me an estimate that he took great pride in his work! Even though there was more damaged wood than anticipated, Gary did not waver. He quickly found a distributor who had enough matching boards in stock and even went and picked them up himself. The project was completed in only six days and Gary gave his all each and every day! The pride and care he gave in doing my floors is evident as they are beautiful!! I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to have beautiful hardwood flooring!

In a word: outstanding! Mr Jeffrey is a great communicator, he would let us know what his planned schedule would be and then he would call to either confirm the schedule or discuss any possible changes to the schedule well in advance to keep us informed and make sure we were able to accommodate. In our case, the only change to the schedule involved the possibility of starting the work earlier than originally planned. We agreed to start earlier, but we didn't have to if we could not be ready. The quality was excellent, the floors were beautiful, they matched very well with the existing hallway floor, and in the end we were very very happy customers. Mr. Jeffrey was very safety conscious and kept his work "in progress" very neat and clean so that in the evenings we could still be very comfortable and safe in the rest of our home. We asked Mr. Jeffrey to do a special pattern in our master bedroom to distinguish it from the other rooms. Mr. Jeffrey was very straight forward to say that he did not feel comfortable laying this pattern himself. However, he is very well connected in his business and he was able to get a colleague with experience laying out special patterns. The final result was beautiful (see attached photos). We would definitely choose Mr. Jeffrey again to do a hardwood floor project, without a doubt. He makes things happen exactly the way a customer would want them to be.

Mr. Jeffrey responded quickly. He is prompt and worked quickly, cooperating with others working in the house on other projects. The refinished floor looked so good that I requested the adjoining room be refinished also. He did an excellent job installing the flooring in the addition, and I am very happy with the quality and timeliness of his services, and his prices are very reasonable, with no unexpected additions to the final bill. I recommend him without qualification.

He came and did a wonderful job. I had moved a table that, unbeknownst to me, was missing a floor guard and scratched the wood floor. After, the job, it was virtually impossible to see! And I was not charged much at all.

He took some pretty bad and ugly floors and made them beautiful again! I have never been so pleased. He told me up front not to expect them to look new, but I think they do. They turned out so wonderful! I cannot thank him and his partner enough for making my home look beautiful again. I cannot wait to enjoy these gorgeous floors for years to come.

There had been carpet over original hardwood floors in the living room, dining room and main hallway in my parent's house for over 40 years. Gary took up the old carpet and disposed of it. The floors were in pretty good shape, but over the years there had been some pet "indiscretions" and staple and nail holes from the series of wall-to-wall carpets that had been put down. Gary repaired those and put in some new boards where necessary. He sanded and finished the floors and they look beautiful. It has made a huge difference in the look of the home. Start to finish took about 4 days, with an extra day out of the house because of the poly smell. Each day Gary was right on time in the morning. He was very courteous and professional, and explained each step both before and during the process. We are thinking of doing the same in a rental property and would not hesitate to hire Gary again.

This man truly has a wonderful talent!!! I had removed a wall which meant there was a hole in the floor (looking into the basement) missing about 4 - 5 pieces of wood flooring. I also removed a parquet floor (about a 3ft. X 3ft. section) that the previous owner had placed on TOP of the wood floor - to say the flooring under the parquet looked horrible is an understatement. First, Gary came in and replaced the missing wood in such a way that you couldn't tell where there had been any damage at all! He blended the new wood with the old wood so there weren't any demarcation lines - it just looks like it is the original flooring! Then he sanded and stained which made the floor look absolutely new!! Two coats of poly and the floor is perfect - he brought out the beautiful grain in the wood and it just looks amazing!!! You can't tell where the parquet floor had been - even inside the coat closet looks beautiful!! I am so far beyond pleased, happy, thrilled with what he did! I have seen another home where Gary had re-finished and screened some floors. It looks amazing! He has such a gift for details - always letting you know what's happening and ensuring that you are satisfied. I most definitely would use Gary again in the future!!!! :)
