The Aeration Corps

Very well. I received an e-mail two days prior to the service. On the day of the service they were running late and didn't arrive until about 5:30 pm, but they had three machines and four guys and the work went quickly. I will have them come back and aerate again in the spring.

It went very well. We paid for 2 applications. Aeration Corp came out a few months apart and put down fertilizer and weed control. They gave me detailed instruction on what I needed to do to have the best results. We were very pleased. Our yard looks great!

I never saw the crew do its work, even though I was home during at least one visit. But I saw the tracks of their applicator in my grass, so I know they had been there. I would get an email after the visit, telling me that the treatment had been provided. Unfortunately, my yard is in as bad a shape as it was before the treatments. I expected fewer weeds, but it may be that my yard was too far gone for The Aeration Corps' work to have made a difference. I believe they did what The Big Deal called for, but, in my case, my yard did not show a marked improvement. I suspect that it can't be laid at the feet of this business. I suspect that I need more attention than I bought in The Big Deal, probably a more personalized/customized and sustained program of fertilization and weed control to make a visible difference in my yard.

Crab grass and weeds in lawn are as bad as ever ... waste of money ...

Professional service. Contacted me before each of two appointments, followed up with messages after service was completed, and was responsive to questions I asked via Angie's List message. I would use them again for other lawn related services.

They sent an email after they had done their service, which I appreciated. I've only used them one time.

Things have gone fantastically with them. We've used them three times, the first time about five years ago. We've used them for two different homes. They do great and their prices are very reasonable. The work they've done has gone very well. They're here when they say they're going to be here and they do a great job.

I received a flyer in the mail. I went to their website and signed up for the service I got an email saying that my service was scheduled for 2 days later. They showed up with their equipment and performed the lawn service even under torrential rain. The aeration was thorough and they included a strip of lawn belonging to our community in the back yard. I got an email with the invoice I was able to pay electronically They were prompt, delivered what they promised and they were easy to work with.

I purchased the $89 for Two Applications of Fertilizer with Pre-emergent Crabgrass and Broadleaf Weed Control from The Aeration Corps. They came and applied both treatments and did exactly where I wanted them to with no issues. David was extremely thorough and professional, easily reachable via email and answered any questions I had. I would HIGHLY recommend The Aeration Corps if you're looking for a quality job with a fair price. They are great!

I chose The Aeration Corps because their prices were straightforward and listed on their website and because they offer online scheduling. This was much easier than having to call different places, and the price of $95 for up to 1/4 acre seemed fair. As soon as I scheduled, I received a confirmation email that my service date would be emailed to me shortly. I followed up via email with further instructions (in addition to what I left via their website) and they promptly responded. They also notified me two days before the service and again when it rained to reschedule. My first service date was within a week of scheduling. They completed the work while I was at work and promptly billed me via email, and I paid online via a secure website. It couldn't have been easier. They also did a good job -- exactly what I expected. They were careful not to aerate the neighbor's yard and paid special attention to the areas I had noted in the instructions. I plan to use them again.

I had a lot of questions that I emailed and David answered promptly. I purchased the service and The Aeration Corps arrived the next day. David spent a great deal of time answering my questions and offering advice for ways to improve my lawn. He advised me against a core aeration and over-seeding at the time when he could have done the work and easily accepted my money. Will definitely use them again!

It was fine. My yard is a little bit larger than the standard that they offer so I paid a few bucks more. He came out the very next day, applied it, cleaned up a little bit of dust of fertilizer that was out there in the driveway and the walkways and left and it looked great. We have a nice green lawn so I was very happy with the service. He was very polite and very cordial. He explained everything. We had several communications and he was very forthright and honest. I'm very satisfied with what I was seeing under that contract. He was very easy to deal with. He did a very good job. He was quick to respond and he cleaned up after himself which I think is unusual in this industry. I'm very happy with the price. It was about half the price than my usual lawn care provider offered. The quality was great. He didn't miss any spots. He did exactly what he contracted for. In 2 days, he was out. We agreed upon time and he was there actually 5 minutes early so he was not a problem at all. He came ready to work. He was very punctual. Not only was he professional in his attitude and appearance but he was very polite and very informative. He explained to me what he was going to do, how he was gonna do it, how long it would take and he told me that he'd be cleaning up afterwards and he did exactly what he said he would do. We handled the finances through email through Angie's List and I'm very happy with the experience. I would highly recommend him.

They were very thorough, and were careful to avoid the irrigation sprinkler heads. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.

I purchased a Big Deal on the 14th of March, and I received an email notification from the service provider on th 15th saying that they didn't service my area. They told me that if I could get three of my neighbors to purchase the deal as well, then they would consider coming out to my neighborhood. I emailed them back saying that I was not interested in this and would just prefer a refund, and I have not heard back from them since.

They did the work, but they did not provide any top cover to help protect and germinate the grass. Other providers did. Very legalistic. Read terms thoroughly. You pay first via the web to book services.

The came promptly on time and you just pay them online after the service.

I received a flyer in the mail from The Aeration Corps in mid-late September 2013. The dry summer and the clay soil of Loudoun County had left my yard looking rather sad. Due to the federal government furlough, I was home on Friday, 4 October, doing yard work, and wondering what to do about the grass. I remembered the flyer and rummaged through the pile of mail. I called around 4pm, expecting perhaps to schedule service in the next couple of weeks, if I were lucky. As luck would have it, the team was in my section of Loudoun County that day and able to come to my house within the hour. A crew of three arrived within the hour, as promised. I explained to the crew leader what I wanted done, and that I especially wanted them to focus on the VDOT easement between the sidewalk and street, but that the whole yard desperately needed a thorough aeration. The three guys worked steadily for an hour. They clearly knew what they were doing and, most especially, they had the right equipment. It is now mid-November and the yard and easement look much less distressed. The grass seed sown by the crew came up within a week and is thriving. I will use Aeration Corps again.

Went very well. Technician was prompt, friendly, and a pro. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again!

Overall, service is excellent. They arrived on time and did a thorough job. Very pleased.

"Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am" is how I would descibe Aeration corps overseeding and aeration. The core aeration on my yard is sporadic at best. There are areas where the yard looks torn up and there are parts of the lawn that were not touched. The overseeding was sporadic as well with some empty patches of my lawn that did not have seeding or aeration. This ten minutes worth of work was 150 dollars. The arrived on time, but worked as quickly as they could to get done. There were 3 guys working about ten minutes. They hesitated to even take my job because they dont usually do townhouses. I would not recommend Aeration Corps for price/aeration/ or overseeding. They have a great website, but other than that I was not impressed.
