Perfect Pavements

Terrible. We had a number of issues during and after the installation. The job manager was supposed to consult with us before starting construction but did not. When we got home the work was not done in accordance with the plans. The sidewalk was 1-2 feet too long and extended into our driveway. We called the job manager that evening who complained about having to come back out to our house that evening to discuss the work. The plans were finally followed and the sidewalk and patio were installed. Not long after the installation was complete the grout between the stones began to crack and separate from the stones. We called them back to repair. They used a saw to cut out the grout, which then turned our natural stones into cut stones. We called to complain and spoke with the owner/manager. She came out to the site and told us she liked the work and was satisfied with her team's quality. We disagreed and told her so but we weren't getting anywhere with them and were ready for the whole ordeal to be over. The work was very poor quality and we've had issues with the sidewalk and patio ever since.

Provider failed to show up at the appointed time to meet me to review the necessary work. I was told someone would come to look at the work after I had to return to work. After several requests to get their estimate, I received a message telling me that the provider was doing several jobs in my neighborhood and was going to charge everyone $1,000 for the work. I don't believe that the contractor ever came to my house to review the job, nor do I believe my work warranted that cost. I wrote to the contractor and voiced this opinion. They failed to respond in any way, even after a second request. I was very happy with this contractor when the initially built my patio and walkway. A few years later they made repairs at no cost to me. However, this was at least five years ago. Clearly something has changed. Very disappointed.

I needed my front walkway replaced due to erosion of the underlying foundation. My front stoop and steps had numerous cracked and broken bricks that also needed complete re-pointing. I received 3 different estimates and found that Jeremy from Perfect Pavements gave the most in depth and fair estimate for this project. I contacted him numerous times about the project before signing the contract and found that he was very responsive to my questions. The project took about one week and was performed perfectly. I highly recommend using this company for masonry projects.

The entire project was first cleared and leveled and the once the pathway was cut and the steps framed, re-bar and or wire reinforcing was laid and a poured concrete footing was made. After that Alfonso and his team meticulously cut and positioned each stone. Ably overseen and supplied by Jeremy the project went very smoothly and the finished product is breathtaking and without flaw.

Carol Ann and Jeremy were completely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous in surveying, estimating, supervising and completing the work. Job was done exactly as requested, promptly and most important to us, exactly right the first time. In one instance we noticed a deep scratch on one stone. Carol Ann had the crew remove that stone that was already set and replace with a more attractive stone without any push back at all. The crew watched the weather closely and worked every day that was good for concrete work but didn't try to do the work on days that were too cold just to get it done. Their main interest was obviously doing the job right, period. This is now the third job these folks have done for us and I wouldn't look to anyone else for future needs. Great job!!

There was no follow up. The crew didn't speak English. It took me forever to get them to keep the contract and finish the work, and I had to stay on them constantly. They dumped debris in the woods beside my home that I had to clean up later. They didn't have a qualified person doing the electrical work and screwed up the lightening. They did a good job on the pavers. They reset a slate sidewalk improperly without replacing the bedding, so it heaved. They cut corners. Maybe two out of the five people were skilled, but the rest looked like people that were picked off the street. They did good work on some things and some things not.

We had used Perfect Pavements before to install a walkway and were very happy. When it came time to replace the front walkway for the house, we called them again. They came out promptly, gave us an estimate with several options, answered all our questions very well. They had several design suggestions and worked with us to finalize the plan very well. Once we decided to have the work done, the crew came right on time, worked hard & did a great job. We've had lots of compliments from neighbors and are very pleased.

Aaron arrived on time and was very pleasent throughout the estimate process, until the end. We had a design idea, but weren't sure if we should go with stone or concerete pavers. He worked up the estimate both ways for us. In fairness, the price was in line with other estimates we received. But, unlike other companies that had come to our home, he he laid on the high pressure sales pitch to sign with him right on the spot. When we told him we did not intend to make a decision right then and he pressured us to know why. We still needed to decide on materials, follow up on references and decide if we wanted to work with this company. I immediately wanted him out of my house and asked him to leave, which he did. What a waste of time. Unless you like high pressure pitches, I'd stay away from this company.

I received a quote from Aaron with Perfect Pavements to put in a patio in my backyard. Aaron spent about 45 minutes at my house giving me feedback and ideas on a few patio designs I had drawn up. The quote was reasonable and what I expected to spend. In addition to the patio I also needed stairs built that would come down to the patio and wrap around the corner of my house. Aaron referred me to an individual who he frequently team up with. I communicated to Aaron that I wanted Perfect Pavements to do my patio, but that I needed to check out the work and references of the individual he recommended to do the steps. After meeting with other decking contractors and comparing costs, I became ambivalent about having the work done by two different entities. I called Aaron to tell him this and his response to me was disturbing; he put me on the defense, made accusations, and made me feel in the wrong for recanting on having Perfect Pavements do my patio. After communicating to Aaron my final decision not to hire the company, he later emailed me calling me an "idiot" for wasting his time and for not having integrity. How unprofessional and immature is that!

I signed the contract May 6, 2011 to extend a patio and install (3' x 3') boulder stairs for approximately $10,000. The company started the work on July 15, 2011 and still have not completed the job. I have called and texted the owner Carol Ann and the sales person Aaron multiple times and no response from anyone in the company. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and they have not responded to them either. Would highly recommend selecting another company.
