Description of Work: After a lot of back-and-forth and a few delays, they managed to come out and provide an estimate. Turns out their primary estimate guy was out sick for a few days, so the delays were expected and not really a big deal. | |When they came out to do the estimate they suggested that the best approach would be to insulate the ceiling of the attic rather than the floor. I asked the guy to explain why, and the explanation seemed to amount to "it just works better that way...although I couldn't get my head around why from his explanation. The cost was also going to be double that of doing the attic floor, which I was skeptical of. | |In thinking it over a few weeks after I had another company insulate the attic floor (for half the price), it dawned on me that doing the ceiling would have probably been better for 2 reasons: 1) The hot air from the upstairs of the town house would be allowed to escape into the attic and get vented out and 2) we would get significant use/storage space out of the attic floor. | |I don't know how effective the floor vs. ceiling approach is or if it's worth twice the cost, but a better/more effective explanation from the get go may have helped me make a better decision. It would be great if these guys carried with them some type of graphic or very solid talking points that explain the trade-offs between the 2 different approaches. | |In any event, they showed up, were professional, but ultimately lost out on price in this particular scenario.

Very bad - a waste of my time.
Description of Work: We wanted a quote on foam insulation in one area of our home. I called several times to schedule and a person finally came out. Three weeks later, I emailed to find when I would get a quote and after another few weeks I received the quote. I emailed and called multiple times/people with questions on the quote and never received a reply.
