+ -1 moreA real estate company in McLean recommended this company; who knows why. When afterwards, I called this inspector to see if his company's insurance would cover any of these overlooked problems, he said no, there is no such insurance. In the turmoil of buying a house, it is well worth getting an excellent home inspector. We were not educated or emotionally prepared to go through the house with a fine tooth comb. We trusted our realtor, and we trusted this guy. What a costly mistake.
Description of Work: We had a terrible experience with this home inspection. He was courteous and wrote a report, but there were big problems with his quality. Because he neglected to bend down and look under some bushes, he missed that the front concrete porch was due to drop down and break off, causing a $10,000 repair 2 months after we bought the house. In retrospect, there were other clues he could have easily seen on that, such as the sinking paint line. The electrical system was not big enough, and a whole new additional upgrade had to be put in. There were other expensive surprises, which added up to more than $15,000. The inspection, of course, only cost a fraction of that.
