Based on my recent experience working with Loudoun Valley Floors (LVF for the rest of this) to replace existing hardwood in my mother’s home we’re preparing to put on the market, I recommend them highly based on their responsiveness, installation ease, installation craftsmanship, and general integrity as a business. We had approximately 900 sq ft of engineered hardwood pulled and replaced by LVF due to water damage in some spots, plus wanting a new floor on the main level due to general wear due to traffic on the existing 15 year-old flooring. The replacement was another engineered hardwood generally matching the existing color scheme, as we weren’t replacing the hardwood on the stairs / railings / etc going up and down from the main level. Kiley J. was our primary point of contact throughout the entire engagement, from initial scoping through installation, and ensured total satisfaction with the work from A to Z. The work team, lead by Carlos, was courteous, efficient and complete. We had hardwood installed on the main level of our house and carpet installed in the bedrooms on the second floor. We had a little bit of a hardwood glitch, but Loudoun Valley Floors worked with us and everything turned out very nicely. With the hardwood installation, Loudoun Valley Floors first removed all of our old wood floors. However, while installing the new wood, the crew chief stopped the installation process and called my attention to a minor flaw in the material I had chosen. They let me decide if I wanted to continue with the hardwood installation. I said no, I wanted to order another product. We ordered a different wood flooring and our replacement order was in the works. But in the meantime, we were walking around on rough subflooring and getting our share of splinters in our feet. Loudoun Valley Floors was kind enough to come over with large carpet remnants to cover our subfloor as we waited for our floors to be shipped and installed. No more splinters! Now everything is installed. It all looks terrific and we’re very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. But we’re also impressed with Loudoun Valley Floors’ honesty (calling attention to the wood floor defect), and their customer service (temporary remnants on our subfloors). I’d definitely recommend them for hardwood and/or carpet installation.

Things went smoothly and the floors all look fantastic. There were 3 minor issues that needed to be addressed and the were promptly rectified. We have not had or discovered any new issues. Very professional from sales through installation and the work was done quickly.

The cost was close to $10000 because they refinished the floors, did all the carpet and did new wood stairs.

Great work, very responsive. If there is an issue, they are very responsive if they need to come back and correct something without an issue. Like we had an issue where a spot came back and they came right back out and redid that area again at no cost. They warranty their work. It is not really like a regular warranty but they will come back. They are responsive about that. The workers were very friendly and responsive.

The job went very smoothly and the crews were courteous. One group installed the carpeting, staying and extra hour overtime to finish rather than come back an expected, second day. The flooring group were just as efficient and helpful

We are extremely pleased with our interactions and service from Loudoun Valley Floors & Loudoun Carpet Care, from scheduling to day of service. We originally requested to have our carpets and hardwoord floors cleaned in our new home prior to move-in. Upon the team's arrival, they determined we didn't need to have the hardwood floors cleaned after all, saving us hundreds of dollars. They arrived on time and were very professional. We will call them again for our flooring needs!

Things went very well. I was a bit concerned that the carpet had wrinkled after the cleaning but a manager promptly called me back to explain it was due to the humidity (it was over 95 degrees that day). Great experience and great cleaning.

This is the most recent of my many experiences with the company. The work was done on time and the price was fantastic. The workers showed up when expected and cleaned up when they were done. I will continue to go back to Loudoun Valley Floors for all of my future flooring needs.

Everything went smooth start to finish. Louis at the showroom was super helpful to this first time homeowner. He listened to what my needs were (stair runner & landing carpet) and gave excellent guidance. Once I had decided, he told me to take the carpet panel home to make sure it would work well with the floor. Installation was smooth as well, the runner looks amazing and the design is transitioned seamlessly. We could not be happier. I'm sure we'll have carpeting needs in the future, so we'll definitely use them again.

We are the actual home owners that purchased the home that is being referenced in the previous review. We think it is important that the review reflect accurate and fair assessment of this Company. The air conditioning units that froze had absolutely nothing to do with Loudoun Valley floors. We were there when the air conditioning technician came to the home to examine. He indicated because the filters were so filthy and had not been changed in many, many months (due to lack of detail and attention to this home) and both units being low on freon was solely the cause of these units to freeze. We even contributed to paying ~50 % of the air conditioning repair bills. Regarding, the drywall issue, there was some drywall damage from the upper A/C unit, but again this had nothing to do with Loudoun Valley Floors. (The seller's agent finally sent out a different contractor to complete the drywall repairs, and the work was less than adequate.) The carpet that was downstairs in the basement that was wet from the frozen units because of the freon issue and the dirty filters, was handled professionally by Loudoun Valley floors. They immediately came out to the house and put fans up, removed the wet padding. Once everything was dry, they installed new padding and it looks great! As the homeowners, we could not have been more satisfied with Loudoun Valley floors, to the point that we have hired them to do additional flooring work in our home (1250 sf of hardwood floors).There are many vendors out there to choose from, however the expertise, professionalism and workmanship that Loudoun Valley Floors displays is the reason we've continued to work with them. For example Louis, our sales person has even called in the evenings to check in to make sure we are completely happy with the work and progress of the overall job. We will also follow up with a final review once the work is completed in our home.

THE ONLY THING THAT WENT RIGHT WAS THE ESTIMATE. DIFFICULT STAFF TO DEAL WITH. SCHEDULING WAS VAGUE AND THE COMPANY STARTED WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME, AS THE HOME WAS VACANT. THEY ALSO "COMPLETED" THE WORK WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. UPON MY DETERMINATION THAT THE JOB WAS FINISHED, I CONTACTED THE COMPANY TO PAYOFF THE BALANCE, THEY HADN'T EVEN CALLED ME TO RECEIVE THE $5,000 BALANCE. I TOOK 3 DAYS TO RECEIVE A RECEIPT. WHEN I WENT TO REVIEW THE WORK ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER, THE STAIRCASE CARPET WAS NOT INSTALLED, IT WAS JUST CARPET PADDING. THE WINDOWS IN THE BASEMENT WERE LEFT OPEN, WHICH HAD CAUSED BOTH OF THE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS TO FREEZE, AS IT WAS THE HOT DAYS OF JUNE. THE AC UNIT IN THE ATTIC LEAKED AND DAMAGED THE DRYWALL UPSTAIRS AND THE UNIT HAD TO BE SERVICED TO GET OPERATIONAL AGAIN. THE AC UNIT IN THE BASEMENT LEAKED IN 3 ROOMS AND SOAKED THE NEW CARPET AND PADDING. UPON CALLING THE STAFF, LOUIS, STEVE AND LAURA - I WAS TREATED WITH DISRESPECT AND ARGUED WITH ME. THEY ADMITTED TO OPENING THE WINDOWS BUT DIDN'T AGREE TO FIX THE DRYWALL OR THE A/C UNIT DAMAGE. THEY HAD TO REMOVE THE PADDING AND PUT IN DRYERS, THE WORK CONTINUED FOR 2 MORE WEEKS, WHICH I HAD TO CALL AND EMAIL ALMOST EVERYDAY TO GET ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE REPAIRS THAT HAD TO BE DONE. ULTIMATELY THE CARPET DRIED OUT BUT THEN WHEN THEY FINISHED, THEY HAD LEFT LUNCH TRASH IN THE KITCHEN WITH THE REFRIGERATOR DOORS OPEN, WHICH THE CONDENSATION LEAKED ON THE KITCHEN HARDWOOD FLOORS AND DAMAGED THE KITCHEN CABINETS NEXT TO THE REFRIGERATOR. I WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY AND THEY REALLY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT WHAT THEY HAD DONE.

Our floors look amazing! When the service was done, there appeared to be a few spots right around the edge of the fridge that needed a little touch up. When I called the company to ask about it, they sent someone over the next day. Overall, we are extremely happy with the results and customer service and will definitely use this company again in the future.

My carpet was installed 4 years ago and there were bubbles coming up in the living room, dining room and my mom's bedroom. Concerned about my mom tripping and falling, I knew I would need to have the carpet stretched. I called the installer who installed the carpet and he said it would be several months before he would be able to schedule an appointment. Not wanting to wait, I looked on Angie's list and found Loudoun Valley Floors. I spoke with Matt. He gave me a quote. They came out on time (very important to me). The gentlemen who came out were wonderful. They stretched the carpet, cleaned up after themselves and vacuumed. I was very pleased and impressed.

Carpet was stretched so far that it was different in bedrooms the hall and stairs were the plush expected, the bedrooms were much thinner due to over stretching. Called them they sent someone out agreed plush was different, made excuse about not wanting bedrooms to be too loose. Nothing was done.

I highly recommend them. They're very personable and cleaned up after themselves. They came back to make sure that we were happy with the results. We had a fireplace that didn't quite match the new tiles, but they came back and grouted and made sure the color matched to the existing grout in the fireplace. They really went the extra mile. I may be using them again to stain our stairs. They put in a competitive bid for that.

They came out to give us the estimate and were very flexible on when they could do it. The guy that came out was very courteous, very accommodating and professional. They were punctual. They did very good work and it was a good value, for what we had done and what they charged.
