Went great from estimate through insulation. The crew was friendly, helpful, quick and professional. We renovated our 2nd floor in a 100 year old house. Rob Vance came out to look at the job and ensured that our energy envelope was as complete as can be under the circumstances of 'this old house'. Questions were answered with consideration to our project along with solutions. We noticed the difference immediately; the house is much cooler with a higher setting of the thermostat. This company exceeded our expectations.

Contacted Vance Insulation by message through Angie's List. Robbie contacted me, scheduled a visit, and was able to stop by, answer a variety of questions and explain my options. The next day, I received the estimate and scheduled the work. The crew was fast, tidy, efficient, and now I have a glorious sea of pink and a stair cover. Perfectly happy :D

Vance insulation came out to give me an estimate on adding some insulation to my bathroom walls after a pipe burst. instead of charging me an arm and a leg, they told me exactly how to do it myself. That is some serious good business ethic, service and just good old fashioned friendliness. He gave me a list of all the things i needed to buy at Lowes, andtold me exactly how to fix my problem. Didn't charge me a cent. I was blown away. Will definitely use this business in the future!

Vance was prompt in getting us a quote, then scheduling the work. They got here on time and the two person team took care of the job quickly and efficiently. We were very happy with the quality and price of work provided.

The assessment went well, in that Robert Vance arrived on time, took adequate time to assess the space, and explained a proposal for work that fit my objective very well. A written work order followed promptly and a date was set for installation. An earlier day became available, much to my relief as a cold snap was arriving that very night. I could not be present, and that was a big mistake. The installation varied greatly from the proposal delivered in person and also from the written work order. Robert had certain deficiencies corrected and other things he totally rejected. I had to do some of the corrective work myself. The lasting issue is a crawlspace door for which the work order specifies a named product appropriate for ground contact and instead the whole thing lacks any such component. My experience shows that the consumer needs to take careful notes when the work proposal is first stated, and then compare those notes to the work order. Installation needs to be done with the consumer present and ready to speak up to ensure conformance to the work order.

What a great experience! Robbie promptly responded to my inquiry, quickly scheduled a site visit and quickly provided me an estimate. The job was insulation of about 750 square feet (3 rooms) which is in a basement space we are in the process of finishing. I was able to schedule the job within a time-frame that was mutually convenient for both of us. Robbie patiently explained the pros and cons of different insulation products, recommended what he thought was best for our job and was very flexible when we decided to increase the R-factor ceiling insulation - ultimately altering his original scope and estimate slightly. He and his crew worked efficiently, quickly and neatly. They arrived when on time and left when they said the job would be completed. They were very conscientious in double-checking their work, making sure everything was done right, and all cracks were properly caulked/sealed. The degree of professionalism displayed exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend Vance Insulation and would hire Robbie again in a heart-beat. In fact, after the holidays, we hope to get his input on evaluating the insulation in our attic.

He was very good and very honest. He said that I actually have insulation in my wall and I just did not know if I had it in there. I trust hem and he seem to be very knowledgeable. He could probably make some money from me but he told me the truth. It did not cost me anything.

First off the Vance brothers know how to do business . Other companies could use a training course from these guys . Always return your calls promptly, always professional, always a fair price . I would not use anyone else for my insulating needs . They treat you like family . 2 employees came to do job were very polite and courteous . They worked very hard the entire time making sure I was happy and liked the job they were doing . They even helped me load my storage containers back into the attic . First class operation all the way . I only wish all companies were like this .

We were away the day it was going to be done. When we returned I checked their installation and it was what I paid for. They left an invoice. Did exactly what I required them to do. Very polite and professional.

The guys arrived on time and were very pleasant. They put a large tarp on the ground outside and were able to pass the insulation out through the attic window so that none of it got in the living quarters. They also closed the attic pull down stairs at one point to contain the lose insulation in the attic. I thought that there might be pieces of insulation on the driveway or in the yard after they left, but they did a great job of cleaning up and left no debris. They did a good job with the mastic as well. I was happy with the job and will contact them again for future insulation jobs.

They sprayed foamed our Florida room and did a great job. Professional throughout.

Vance is a local family-run operation. I asked for estimates for several crawl space insulation issues identified by home inspector. After providing an estimate for several items, Mr Vance patiently explained which fixes were important and which ones were not necessary. Based on his recommendation, we settled on a less expensive option. I was very impressed with his honesty and professionalism...based on this I decided not to get any other estimates. I would definitely use Vance Insulation again.

Mr. Vance called to schedule the appointment to give me an estimate on work I had requested. He was friendly and professional and arrived promptly for the appointment. He gave me a written estimate of repairs and also emailed the estimate to me. Mr. Vance explained what insulation work was needed and explained in detail the line items of his estimate. He did not try to pressure me into having the work done. I called the next day and asked him to schedule the work to be done. He and/or his crew arrived as scheduled and Mr. Vance kept me informed of the job's progress. He was able to work around my schedule which I appreciated. I'm satisfied with the work than was done and would recommend his services to others.

Mr. Vance was very timely in both his estimate and his work. His work was done efficiently and I didn't need to be home for him to perform his work. Excellent job. I would definitely use him again.

Guys from Vance Insulation arrived promptly around 9 am. They introduced themselves and proceeded to remove old vapor barrier and install new vapor barrier. Installation time took approximately 90 minutes. I would recommend this company again.

/Robert Vance, the owner of the company was prompt in coming and checking out my crawlspace and giving me his estimate. We easily arrived at a mutual time for the job to completed. The crew came when expected and did an excellent job of sealing my crawl space. They also carried away all debris that I had cleaned out of the crawl space before they arrived.

Robbie was very friendly, but I don't think this was any "deal" and would like to get more estimates on the work. Thank you.

They were good, professional, they did a quality job and we're really pleased with them. The interaction was great. We added $222 so they could do the entire crawl space and the special of $149 was only for 500 square feet and I probably got close to 1600 square feet.

Robbie Vance, the owner, came out to give the inspection/quote. The price was only a little bit more expensive (i.e $10) than another company, but I got a more professional, experienced impression from Robbie. We signed the contract and got the work done within a week. Workers completed the project in only a few hours. They found a pre-existing leak so we had to call a plumber that day - even the plumber said they had done a good job while he was down there. I have crawled around the space numerous times closing my vents and the work is well done. Good, solid work at a reasonable price - done very quickly. Would absolutely use again.

They (two guys) arrived when they said they would, and, as far as we can tell, did the job quickly and efficiently.

Two men, one the company owner, came, on time for the estimate appointment. They did a very thorough inspection of my attic and crawl space. Their recommendations were reasonable and mindful of the cost versus return benefit. I received their estimate via email. We set up a day & time for the job to be done. Again, they were on time. Did the work and had me inspect it before they left. I am pleased with what they did and would not hesitate to recommend them. This seems to be a company that takes pride in doing quality work at a affordable cost.
