Reads Moving Systems of Richmond

Description of Work: I have moved over 20 times in my career. This was a corporate relocation move. Pack, load, transport, deliver, with no unpacking; only bed and dis-assembled items set back up at destination. | |Majority of my issues are with the packing. In my opinion, not highly professional. Not all items were individually wrapped to protect from other items in contact. Lighter, less strong items buried under heavier items. Clothing gathered in a bunch and thrown in boxes with non-clothing items interspersed, I presume to save on packing. Items from different areas of the home spread out with other items from other areas, making it very difficult to find things as needed at destination. Still unpacking, and while nothing is broken (yet), my big beef is how they handled the wardrobe boxes. They were half filled with other bulky items, such as pillows, so that the hang up items didn't have room to hang. Then they packed the hangers so tight that the items were all wrinkled when unpacked. How would you feel if all of your suits and your wife's formal gowns looked as if they had been balled up and thrown in the corner? | |Load out and delivery went reasonably smoothly; only minor issues easily resolved. | |Will update when I see how the company handles my claim.

Description of Work: We used Reads Moving Systems service, one of the largest interstate agent of Atlas Van Line who helped us moved from Virginia to North Carolina. We sold our house in five days, but the requirement was that they will closed by 30th of May and so Reads Moving System made it happen. They loaded us on the 24th of May and they delivered everything to us on a Saturday, the 26th of May.
