Griffith Enterprises

Let me first say this had nothing to do with Jason or Eric Griffith, sons of the person I contracted. In fact, Jason tried to rectify the terrible situation. This had to do with Harvey and Pam Griffith. I was never notified when any workers were coming. They would just arrive at various times of the day and I was yelled at by the painters for not being home. (I work) I was over charged for the number of windows to be wrapped (they charged for 26 and I only have 19 windows.) My roof was only partially power-washed. Brown shingles were placed on a black roof . Lights were dropped and glass was broken. I had to clean it up. I was afraid my dog would cut her paws. Screens were bent and ripped. The painter told me the light broke when he dropped it because " it was old." The only time I saw the contractor was the first day, when he came to collect the first payment. His wife, Pam would contact me via email when she wanted more money . With the second payment, I was told they needed more money for more materials. I paid $1,100 extra, but saw very little extra material. When the work was almost finished, I contacted them that their painters had bent all my screens and broken a few lights and trash was not cleaned up. The painters had also lost most of the screen attachments and instead of replacing them, they simply NAILED, yes NAILED, the screens into the newly wrapped windows. The contractor, Harvey showed up several days later. I showed him the damage. He just kept mumbling to himself and no correction was ever made. I received a bill for the third payment. On this bill was again another $1100.00 for extra material, which I had never agreed to nor ever saw. I thought it was strange that both times the extra material was $1100.00. I refused to pay the extra amount and I contacted my lawyer. What really shocked me was the painter Roberto. I came home from work one day and he came over to talk to me as I got out of my car. He began by talking about his family and how he hadn't seen his mother in 15 years, since he left Mexico.. It was a sad story until he asked me for money so he could get a lawyer to get him a "green card." In the end, Jason and my son in law fixed some of the needed repairs. The nail holes in the metal were never repaired.
