Once they started work (in the midst of a very cold and difficult winter in this area!) they really worked very hard, were very punctual, and with excellent craftsmanship in everything they did. Joe was always attentive to details and went the extra mile to please his customer. They completed the work in the time estimated, within budget, and with no issues whatsoever. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND J.R. Pitman Construction for your major renovations and building projects. I would certainly trust them and employ them again in the near future. Good job Joe!

+ -1 moreIt started raining during the rebuilding on the brick steps and he had to erect a temporary structure to keep the rain off, plus set up heaters to dry the masonry work. Joe can work on any project that is needed: electrical, plumbing, masonry, wood work or historical restorations. He is truly professional and competent.
Description of Work: Joe rebuilt a set of brick steps that were leaning dangerously and could cause a fall. He replaced a third story dusk to dawn light, repaired a light socket that had been open for 13 years all with a short period of time.

+ 1 moreJoe arrived for the estimate, and gave us a date and time he could come back and do the work. He checked in during the interim to confirm his start date, and showed up at the time and date he had promised. We were extremely pleased with all of the work he performed, and the cleanliness with which he left things. He clearly takes pride in his work.
Description of Work: Joe replaced a beam in our attic that had completely rotted out from water damage. He also used beautiful painted wood to seal off two pocket doors that had come off their hinges. He came well prepared for the job, and had clearly thought through options to fix the problem, and talked us through them and why he decided on the one he chose. He left the job site cleaner than when he started - for all the sawing and woodworking, there was not a speck of dust to be found when he cleared out.

Description of Work: AJ Pitman Construction built my home, horsebarn, outbuilding and fencing. He has since been back to perform an annual inspection on my home to ensure all is working appropriately, and to complete various other improvements and handyman type jobs (like changing a light bulb well over 30' high in my barn).
