+ -1 moreWe had 3 bidders. J L Davis Roofing had the best quality materials at the best price. Another bidder had offered lesser quality materials for more than $1,000 more and another bidder had several options from which to choose, ranging from $5,000 to $7,500 to $10,000 higher than the Davis price. Davis roofing came when they said they would be there. The only times they did not work was in rain or threat of severe thunderstorms (several times). Came on a Saturday to finish the job by the time our builder needed completion of the roof. They found an area around the chimney that needed a new cricket in order for them to finish. They coordinated with the builder to get it done in time. They saw a small area that had deteriorated plywood and they replaced it (within the quote). They used 30# felt. Cleaned the site up well.
Description of Work: removed old roofing, old tar paper and drip edge. Installed new tar paper, 30 year architectural shingles, ridge vent, new plumbing flashing and new chimney flashing. Hauled away all debris.
