+ -1 moreThe persons who performed the work were professional and courteous. Work was done exactly as agreed. Very happy with the work done. Yard was very clean when finished and quality job performed.
Description of Work: Trim trees and removed tree from deck. 5 oak trees trimmed, large maple trimmed to move limbs away from house, and maple tree removed from deck. The tree inside deck was difficult requiring cutting away deck boards to get the trunk below deck level. Other companies were higher in estimate and would not do this step. Cost competitive with others but I thought got owner comported himself well and was part of decision for us to hire them over three others. The job took 5 hours and involved five workers and equipment. They took all limbs and debris with them.

+ -1 moreThe tree had split so they had to cut down the rest and do a 'low-cut on the tree trunk. The job was done the next day after I was provided the estimate so very responsive to my call and quick with the job. Clean-up was great. We waited on grinding the stump because all my utilities ran past both sides of the tree. Getting Miss Utility to mark the yard took about a week but after looking at where the power and gas lines ran Jim scheduled the stump for the next day.
Description of Work: I had one large Bradford pear tree cut down and the stump ground.

+ -1 moreThey took down the trees and then had Granddaddies Stump to come and grind down the stump. He did the stump grinding not only for the trees that were cut down but also for a tree that had gone down during a storm and that we had tried to do ourselves. So it was 3 stumps that he took out. We wanted to use someone local. They came right out and gave us a written quote. My husband thought that the price was terrific.
Description of Work: We last used Poquoson Tree Service May 27th to take down 2 loblolly pines in our backyards.

+ -1 more012Jim and his crew arrived on time. They began preparing the pine tree and surrounding areas once the tree came down. It was scary as the tree was very tall and when it came down it looked like it was going to hit our neighbor's driveway and do damage. It came out ok. The men were kept at task. They cleaned up the area, and hauled off the trees and bush.
Description of Work: We originally called Poquoson Tree Service to give us an estimate on taking a large pine tree out. Jim came and gave us a price for taking the pine tree out and also cutting down a large holly bush. He and his crew showed up Saturday morning on time and began the work of preparing the pine tree to come down. As we were watching them do their work, we decided to ask Jim what he would charge to remove the large maple tree as it was beginning to cause issues with mowing the lawn as its roots were running all over the yard. Jim did all three jobs that day, cleaned up the yard, hauled off the tree remains and we were very satisfied with the job well done.

+ -1 moreCame out next day after initial estimate visit, showed up on time very early in AM, and accomplished all work by mid-afternoon. Followed instructions very well, offered good advice (no pressure or sales pitch) re conditions and other aspects of my trees, and very professional in every way. Price seemed very reasonable, and there were no surprises (add-ons). Cleaned up well, and left the property looking neat. I definitely would use them again.
Description of Work: Took down two trees, ground stumps. took down large boken tree limb, trimmed large shrubs, up-lifted trees, removed old firewood, cut wood from removed trees into firewood length, and cleaned up all debris.
