A1A CUSTOM PAINTING

This is addition to the previous report I submitted and now that A1A tried to answer to the complaint I feel obligated to talk about the "mechanics lien" they have put on our house. I had all intentions of paying the original fee (even though they misquoted the price and didn't bother to come clean up the paint they spilled on our furniture). I feel that the dishonesty from the beginning was one thing, but this company put a lien on our house with inaccurate and dishonest information. I received a paper stating they had put a mechanics lien on the house and noticed they had already included an interest charge. Further more, they are trying to collect $30 for the check I cancelled (which I already paid $30 for) and the reason I cancelled the check was stated in my previous report. Just to put the facts straight (and I have all papers to verify this) the check was cancelled on 3/27/08. We did not even receive an invoice from the company until 4/2/08. So, while it stated there would be $30 charge for a cancelled check that information was not made available to me until after the check had been cancelled. Furthermore, I am sending a copy of the invoice they sent; you will notice there is no due date and no reference to interest charges if the payment wasn't received- additionally they tried to charge interest from the date of the 'service'. This is above and beyond dishonest. I've spoken to the court clerk and a lawyer about this, but since the company was so adamant in their response to Angie's that they did nothing wrong I'd like to hear how they can justify trying to put a lien on a home with false charges. The worst company I've ever had to deal with.

It was a very pleasant experience. Adam and Mike were very neat. There were no drips. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. They arrived on time on the days they said they would. They finished the job in the time they had estimated. We could not have found a better crew. They moved all furniture necessary and put it back in precisely the same place, including nicknack's. Overall a fantastically positive experience.
