Container First Services

Our route was serviced by County Waste and before them Virginia Waste Services for over 11 years. Never had the first complaint. This company bought the route in early 2017 and we've had nothing but trouble ever since. Rates, when up and the only way to get rates down was to sign a contract which we later found out, was not good past 6 months (what good is a contract for 6 months.....NONE.) From January 2018 until present we have been in a battle trying to get out of the contract and the company states there is a penalty to do so which we cannot afford. They can never get your billing right and no matter how many times you complain and get the rate reduced, the next month they will bill you whatever they want. We have been billed twice for May and June service in May and now 2 weeks later billed again for July which service we haven't received yet and won't for another 2 weeks. We only have trash pickup now every other week but bill shows 4 weeks/month for trash pickup. Ask for a corrected bill for the last 3 months and don't see it yet. Ask for something in writing on the reduced rate, you'll never get it. We have made complaints to the OAG and BBB and we're waiting on the outcome before seeking further resolution. If you deal with them, you'd better stay on top of the billing/charges or plan on going to court to fight them.

MDI was sold to container first services CFS. From that day, delivery and pick up was spotty, billing was hard to keep track of and my price more than doubled. I received no advanced information on the price increases from my account executive. The very last container I had to continue to call CFS to make sure that that they knew there was a container still on my site that needed to be picked up. They claimed they had no record of it but finally came to pick it up. This took more than four months. In the last six months I paid all the bills I had received and stop using CFS. Then today MORE THAN SIX MONTHS AFTER THE FACT, I received a phone call stating that I owe $357 and if I didn't pay it would go to collections. Not pleased to have to randomly get a phone call stating payment due on something I know I paid especially when the irate excuse from my supposed account exec was the amount just popped up due to a computer accounting migration from one system to another. I will not use CFS again. Unfortunately, Petersburg sold the city dump to CFS (one of the only dumps where tax paying citizens have to pay for small pickup truck dumping) and they also have the contract for Petersburg's ordinary trash removal. So looks like this monopoly wins and either way they get my money. Good for you CFS.

Awesome, fair prices and the best sales rep in the world (Tori). The company always has provided us good service (for years) and they are easy to work with, and very friendly. My rep will usually respond to my texts messages with a couple of minutes. Now I don't know whose service provider can respond that quickly but no matter what time (within reason) or what day of the week, my rep responds FAST. The availability of the containers has never been a problem either. I usually get my container placed with in 2 days of the request. Our regular services on the small 8 yard container is done twice a week and the pick up person is alwasy carefull to not "spill" any trash out of our container; either that or he cleans up anything that may have fallen out. Like I said, excellent service and excellent prices. I only wish I could do more business with them because they are really one of my favorite companies to work with. If you haven't tried them out you should, and if you plan to try them out then you will be glad you did.
