Excellent! David & Brian did a very professional job, including wrapping new woodwork & matching color roofing to current roof. This is his 3rd project at my house.

Contractor was supposed to measure and give me a price and we set up a time. Never saw or heard from him again.

Blount's did an amazing job! Very professional. Excellent craftsman/men with knowledge of what to be done and how to's. The office manager Ron, and owner/contractor, Dave, came out to the house several times prior to work starting in order to answer any questions we had. While work was being completed and changes needed to be made for a variety of reasons, they were very eager to make every thing work. Sometimes our ideas didn't always match up with what could be done. Ron and Dave always gave a clear picture on what to expect and/or how construction would be managed. Ideas were shared and the result was amazing! They often swept snow off and worked in bitter cold. The work site was always clean and safe after a days work. We look forward to working with them again!

Went very well. Very prompt and professional. Willing to listen to what I wanted and offered suggestions that, in the end, would improve the quality of the project. I requested a quote to finish basement. His pricing was a little higher and I decided to use a different contractor.

We are 70% through our remodel project on our lake home and couldn't be happier. David and team have been excellent to work with and professional from the very beginning. The quality of workmanship is unsurpassed, and I highly recommend their services. Will update this review when everything is finished, which won't be long, as they are moving along quickly!

This was second time the same siding had come off in a storm. Wouldn't have used the previous repair guy even if I could remember who I used. Found Blount's ad in the local paper. I considered this a low risk small job so I didn't shop around. Plus -so many houses had damage from the storms the contractors who local contractors who specialize in roofing and siding probably wouldn't have come out to give an estimate. I could have done the repair myself except I don't have a ladder tall enough to reach the spot that required repair. He came out looked at what needed to be done gave me an estimate. I thought it was reasonable and had him correct a few other siding problems which he adjusted the estimate according for. He was done in two hours. Sliding repairs have held up to a hurricane and several severe storms without any problems. He suggested I start thinking about a replacement roof as ours is 15 years old. I would definitely consider using them again and would certainly call them for a roofing estimate when the time comes to replace. I was pleased enough to save his business card for future work.

So far, pretty good, I haven’t had the work done yet but I am choosing him to have the work done and he should be getting to it by next week. He got the quotes back to me very quickly. I changed some options and requested a re-quote and then he re-quoted. His final quote was $32000. He had a much more personable touch when he came over and talked to me. He understood what I wanted pretty well. It has been positive so far.

We highly recommend David Blount! Our house looks great, not just because of the quality of the work, but because David helped us at the very important stage of choosing materials and colors. We never felt that our project was anything other than his first priority. His crew was pleasant to have around, which is really saying something because they had to make a lot of noise to get the job done. When they removed the old cedar siding from the chimney, they found rotten wood, so they had to replace that. David stayed close to the contract price, charging us only for the material. We look back on the project as a pleasant experience, are happy with the result, and will definitely call David again.

Over the course of three years, Dave replaced all the windows and sliding glass doors in our beach house located in Colonial Beach, VA. Each time we worked with Dave, we had a great experience. He always showed up when he said he would, worked efficiently and left the work area as clean as when he arrived. All of our orders were custom sizes and we had never had an issue with them not fitting properly. Additionally, when he replaced the sliding glass doors original to the house and found the headers had been compromised during the original installation, he took the time to correct that situation rather than just putting the new door in the same way. We found Dave extremely flexible, willing to work us long distance often via email and phone since this was a vacation residence and we were not always there when he was working. We trusted him to be in our home and to ensure it was secured properly before he left. Recently, one of the windows that had been installed in the first round of changes cracked and had to be replaced. We were on a tight deadline as the house was being sold and Dave was quick to order and make the change out for us--at no expense. When he says there is a 5 year warranty on his labor, he means it.

Every aspect of this huge job from the tile work to the wood work was done faster and went way over expectations. I walked through the area giving David an idea of what I was going to use the rooms for. He took it from there and showed a lot of creativity, finishing the basement and deck adding modern style and traditional beauty to my home. I will go nowhere else for any home improvements!!!

A few months ago a bad storm hit Fredericksburg, VA. Our home was hit hard, hail and strong wind damaged our home to the point that we needed to have a lot of work done. Our insurance company suggested we get quotes from at least three contractors before we chose who would fix our home. I was very shocked at how a lot of contractors behaved when we told them our insurance would handle the payment. A lot of contractors didn't show up to give us quotes, while others simply said we needed to fax them our insurance claim and they would do it for that amount without looking at the damage. Not David. David came to meet with me when he said he would, gave us a quote, and followed up in a very professional manner. We chose his company over much larger ones that promised me anything I wanted. I noticed most homes in our neighborhood had signs from the contractors who would repair the home, and ours was one of the last to get such a sign. Although we were one of the last to find a contractor, our home was completed before any others in our neighborhood. On the day he was to begin it rained, but he dropped off material so he could begin the following day. True to his word David arrived early in the morning to begin work. The weather was perfect and he and his crew worked hard, efficiently, and completed the siding in two days, the roof in two, and came back one last day to finish making everything look beautiful. Our home looks better than it did when we moved in ten years ago. I am very pleased with the overall results and would certainly recommend Blount's Home Improvements to anyone who wants a fair price, efficient workers, and friendly people to work with. He is true to his word and will not let his customers down.

When I initially contacted the company they promised to come out and look over the job. They showed up on the date and time promised and provided an estimate within one week. The contractor was always available to answer questions and make changes. They started the project on time and worked long hours to get the job done. They were very flexible when something set the schedule back (removing trees not originally scheduled for removal, weather, design changes) and the contractor always returned phone calls and email. Instead of choosing materials all at the start of the project, he recommended as we got closer to the area being finished that I decide what tiles, stain, carpeting, etc. and it worked great because as things were completed my original idea sometimes didn't work as well as I thought it would. The finished product was, and is, very pleasing. The contractor hauled any and all of the debris and excess materials as they progressed, keeping the property looking neat throughout the project build. When the build and remodel was completed, the contractor cleaned everything to include ensuring all the grouting was neat and tidy, deck was washed of dust and debris and the sunroom was vacuumed and dusted of all wood dust. The final walk thru of the completed project was professional and any items not finished to my satisfaction were redone. Over-all it was pleasant and rewarding remodeling.
