Provider was professional, punctual, and very responsive to communication. The floor turned out very well and the installer went the extra mile to make sure everything was as we wanted it.

Excellent work ethic. Work team typically comprised the do-it-all foreman with one or two workmen, who arrived most days about 7am-7.30am. Worked weekends, if they felt it necessary. A small company, Image has an engagingly obliging attitude, and appears genuinely willing to satisfy with good work and/or rectify mishaps. Team worked quickly and professionally, and cleaned up before leaving each day. Demolition took just one day for each of the two bathrooms, and dust was kept to a minimum, with plastic sheeting placed over nearby bedroom furniture (the two bathrooms were remodeled several weeks apart). Foreman seemed adept at many construction skills - relaying and soldering copper piping, drainage, electric wiring and fitting of switches, lights, faucets, etc. I believe the company is duly licensed with Fairfax County, and carries the necessary insurance certificates, etc. How I wish I could give Image straight-As for everything, if only for their enthusiasm and can-do attitude -- and as I have said, I would hire them again. After all, they produced two strikingly beautiful bathrooms and a powder room for me. But there was one incident in which they have not performed with excellence. While installing a medicine cabinet within one of the bathroom walls, the contractor punctured a sewer vent pipe by using it as a mounting surface for the mounting screws of a recessed medicine cabinet. Needless to say, when summer warmth arrived a few months later, the vent began to emit a revolting stench into the bathroom, especially on weekends when the home owners were using showers, toilets, washing machine, etc. at the same time. It took a couple of weeks of dilly-dallying to isolate the source, even though I told the contractor early on that I suspected the sewer vent had been punctured or cracked in some way. Eventually, the foreman agreed that a punctured vent had to be the source of the problem. But, his "remedy" was just another short-cut: he placed adhesive foil on the punctures and injected liquid foam into the cavity between the medicine cabinet and pipe -- then screwed the screws back into the holes in the pipe. The foam caused its own problems, popping out a couple of plugs in the medicine cabinet, and what's more, it didn't stop the stench from stinking up our bathroom the following weekend. Eventually Image agreed that the only way to stop the stink for good would be to cut out the damaged section of pipe and install a new section with elbows to divert it away from the cabinet. This required cutting a hole in the wall and, after we waited a week to be sure the smell was gone, closing the hole and repainting. It has taken weeks, because the Image crew has been working on other contracts and can scarcely spare the labor. The replastering and repainting has been completed. But now the cabinet is no longer firmly secured in its wall mount -- and despite repeated assurances that all is well and the cabinet will be fixed, the days are dragging and the foreman is no longer anywhere near as responsive as he was when the work began. I feel relatively confident the cabinet will get fixed eventually (I just hope that the new, wooden anchor is strong enough, as the foreman contends). Throughout all of this saga, Image has tried to be positive and continues to give assurances that it will make good. But the recent tardiness has somewhat soured what otherwise has been a stellar remodel. So, to sum up: I recommend Image for bathrooms, kitchens and other remodeling work, but advise owners to plan well in advance with the contractor and insist on being kept informed of all critical decisions in every stage of the work.

We were moving into a new (to us) house and used Image Flooring to replace a number of rooms with wood flooring. They removed old carpet, heavy tile, damaged wood and laminate flooring and installed the new pre-finished flooring within a few short days between the prior owners moving out and our moving in. At the same time, working around plumbers doing additional work. They were very helpful in assisting in the selection of nice wood floor product and were very gracious when we stopped in to check progress. Everything worked out very well. We also consulted with them to select a desired replacement product.

I highly recommend Image Flooring for both hardwood floor installation and carpeting. Throughout the process the sales folks and installers were professional and responsive. The project took several days to complete, but the installation workers put in a solid day's work each day.

The experience was excellent from day one, when we went to Image Flooring to see their large selection of flooring. I don't know how Phil is so patient, but he took a lot of time to answer our questions on the three visits before we finally came to a decision. For the quality of the flooring, we got an excellent price. The wood was ordered quickly, the time estimate for delivery and installation was spot on, which was important because we coordinated the work with our move into the house. The installation crew, headed by Majeed, was super. Majeed is an artist for sure, and layed out the floors in the best possible way--depending on the grain and color of individual pieces. The work was done cleanly and quickly. There was a small problem that I noticed a month later, and James took care that it was evaluated and fixed right away--no fuss. The follow up is worth everything and says a lot about a company that stands behind their work. James went beyond what was expected!

Image Flooring was the only business out of five contractors (all from Angie's List and all with an overall "A" rating) who showed up on time and provided a written estimate within 24 hours of the initial visit. I choose them because of their professionalism, but as an added bonus, their prices were on the lower end of the estimates I received. The job was completed within a week or so of signing the contract. The hardwood installers arrived on time, were quick, efficient and professional. The carpet installers were a tad late, due to a slight mis-communication I believe. They too were quick, efficient and professional. They were missing materials needed to fully complete the job. They informed me they would obtain what they needed and asked when it would be convenient for them to return. They called the following day and came as scheduled to complete the job. We were very pleased with their service and will be calling them again for additional work.

Knowledgeable sales staff and estimator. They were able to guide us in selecting hardwood flooring, explaining why some things might work better than others. Their advice was sound and I am glad I listened to their suggestions. Unfortunately, they forgot to put us on the installation calendar so our project was delayed for a few weeks. This caused us a bit of shuffling with schedules. Installation was done by a team of three very hard-working men. They were polite and professional. They moved the heavy things for us at the beginning of the job, but were cautious about moving some things back in place at end of job. I believe it was some sort of liability issue. The installation process was very messy, and they worked often to clean up as they went. If you are going to be removing/installing hardwood flooring, I'd recommend that you cover as much of your belongins as possible with sheets to keep the dust off. I wish I'd known that from the beginning. The new wood floors look beautiful. Makes the whole house look so much better. Very happy with the floors. I'd give the company an A rating overall if it weren't for forgetting to put us on the schedule.

We were working on a tight schedule and needed to get the floors done within two weeks of getting the estimate. James was great to work with and the guys who installed the floors did a wonderful job They were even done a day earlier than we expected. The floors look great. The bathrooms needed to be completely demolished. They were able to do both bathrooms in a little under two weeks. We had already purchased the vanities from Lowes and they had no issues with installing them. Everything went great and again James' crew was great to work with, and worked around our schedules as well. We hope to work with James and Image again on future projects.

We had given much thought to replacing our master bedroom carpeting with hardwood floor. After doing some research on Angie's List, and receiving a recommendation from a friend who'd used Image Flooring for some carpeting, I decided to stop by the store which is literally in a small shopping center adjacent to our neighborhood. James, the owner, offered to stop by our home a couple of days later in order to measure for an estimate. He promptly emailed that estimate later that day. We reviewed it and I went to talk with James the following week. We discussed the Angie's List discount and he adjusted the estimate to reflect that. He offered to restretch the existing carpet in our three other upstairs bedrooms which was wrinkling after almost 8 years. Typically I try to obtain at least three estimates for such a job, but I really wanted to give our business to this local company and was very impressed with James' responsiveness and his willingness to work with us. He scheduled the job for the following week, which turned out to be the Monday after the big storm. The flooring crew arrived at our home that morning after battling some traffic headaches that morning. That crew consisted of Majeed (the team leader ), Melin, and Jamar. They were wonderful!!! While they were working they were so respectful of our home and furnishings which they had to move( and later replace.) They were even patient about my skittish cat who decided to hide- out under the bed that needed to be moved! They worked so deligently and carefully for two days...some of the hottest on record for our area. Majeed took special care in matching the new flooring with the existing hardwood at the doorway. James referred to Majeed as "Magic" and he lived up to that name. It is impossible to notice where the new flooring starts and the existing floor ends. Friends who have come to take a look can hardly believe it! I am so pleased with our new floor and the workmanship!!! During the time when the hardwood crew was working, James sent Sean to our home to look at the carpet which needed restretching. We set a time for his crew to return which they two days later. Sean arrived with the two men who would be doing the work and then left after they were getting started. That crew was also careful and efficient. They quickly moved furniture, restretched and retacked the carpet, and replaced the furniture. Those rooms look great! I am so pleased that I decided to have Image Flooring of Oakton do this work for us and I would highly recommend this company to others.

They did a good job. I would give them the highest ratings across the board and would use them again.

It was a very positive experience. The pricing and installation were good. It was a good effort. They were very good. They have done two or three things for us.

This was our second experience using Image Flooring and Design Center. Working with James was a pleasure. He seemed to know just what I was looking for and his guidance was right on! Couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, excellent communication, service and skilled installers. Another home improvement made easy!

I’m happy with their work. In fact, a carpenter who was doing a different project for me commented on how good the work looked. I did have an issue with the way my stairs were done. They laid the flooring in a strip fashion, instead of using one solid piece. I wasn’t expecting this because I hadn’t seen stairs done this way. They explained that the manufacture didn’t make solid pieces for stair steps. Also, I was surprised that they weren’t able to fix a slight slant on one of my stairs. They explained that they aren’t carpenters, only flooring installers. However, I don’t think the slant poses a safety hazard. I do think their employees did a good job cleaning up, and they were pleasant.

They did a really good job. Their employees moved all of my furniture, and were very pleasant.

I had a great experience. They were able to order and install the product quickly, which is exactly what I wanted. I'd certainly recommend this company.

Their work turned very, very well. The cost was competitive and reasonable, and they were easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to others. If you use this company, you are really supporting a worthy neighborhood business.

First off, I will say that I was super impressed with the carpet installation. We were working under a deadline for the carpet and had to move in the next day, so the guy ended up staying until 11 pm to get everything done. He did a really good job & was very nice. He cleaned everything up and left the house is spotless condition. We had issues with the tile work. Overall, it looks pretty good & we are happy with it, but, for the price, we had expected a little better. Some of the tiles were laid uneven & grout lines were slightly off in some places. I felt like the guy kind of rushed through the job (I think he was having some personal stuff going on) and didn't take his time. We did contact the company about this, but we had already moved in and I didn't want our floors ripped up again. Also, I had asked the guy to be really careful with our freshly painted walls, and there were definitely some spots & he got grouting dirt all over the place. I am still scrubbing it out of things. Overall, I just wished the tile job had been done more meticulously. Customer service was kind of a bigger problem. While we were having issues with the tile & were unhappy about it, customer service was hard to get on the phone and hard to get to come over. I felt like we weren't a super high priority. I eventually wrote to the company, and the other owner was really nice & polite and helpful, but the guy we were working with wasn't. Oh - and they did a good job on the frameless door installation. Looks really nice. Overall, I would say customer service & the tile job were my biggest complaints, but I don't think I would have customer service complaints if the tile work had been done better.

We purchased and installed carpet for two bedrooms. We found the store salesman easy to work with and very well informed on his products. We are preparing our home for sale and he was very helpful when we were making a selection that would appeal to most home buyers. He came to our home and measured the very next day. His price was competitive. We had to change the installation date several times and we found the company very easy to work with on this. They called to confirm time and date of installation. The installers were running late but the company called and let us know. Installers were quick and job was very well done. We had recently painted both bedrooms and I was concerned about scrapes and scratches to the new paint but the installers were very careful. Installers moved furniture out and then back into both bedrooms and also took away the old carpet. They also vacuumed the rooms before they left. Overall...an excellent job.

The company promised a functional kitchen (working stove, sink, refrigerator) with 2.5 weeks. We had a functional kitchen in 13 days. Overall project went smoothly except for two cabinets that were not originally ordered, but were subsequently ordered and installed within 2 weeks. The main installer was very professional and did a fantastic job - - he wanted to do it right.

Excellent job helping with cabinet design, selection of materials, etc.. Kept us informed of delivery dates. Very happy with the products. We had another firm do the installation only because they were doing the remodel for us.

I was apprehensive to get such a large project underway, but with the friendly (and VERY knowledgeable) staff at Image Flooring...it was much easier then I thought it was going to be. They had so much to choose from, and coordinated the project very closely with me. Work was done in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Image Flooring to anyone interested in remodeling their home.
