They were perfect. They did everything they said and they didn’t damage anything on their way out. They started and finished at the time they said they were going to. There was one problem that came up and they solved it very nicely. So that was great. The guy who shampooed the carpet damaged another floor and they sent somebody up pretty quick to fix it. They were aces with me.

Found Claws Carpets on Angies list. From the time I walked into their store, to the measuring of my home, to the installation, all went well and very professionally...One suggestion: the installers should have a vacuum cleaner on hand that has a hose attachment to clean out floor vents of carpet fibers after the installation and along the wall edges. Ended up using a dry vac that was on the property due to other contract work being done. Would have been a tedious task to manually clean these vents if another vacuum cleaner had not been present. (This was a vacant rental house).
Description of Work: Installed new wall to wall carpets.

1. Very experienced workmen installed new pre-finished hardwood flooring a couple of years ago. They removed the old flooring, carefully sorted new flooring strips, and nailed new strips. The house is rented and the Clawes workmen were able to do this work without much disturbance of the tenants. The tenants and I were very pleased pleased with this installation. 2. After the house was vacated, Clawes workmen refinished the existing the stairs which were in good condition except the worn thirty-five year old finish. The new finish was well done. The stairs could not be done while tenants were in the house because the materials take three days to dry. Clawes workmen co-ordinated this work with drywall installers and painters. 3. Clawes workers installed new carpet in the basement family room and hallway. Tim Gauck provided excellent service. He has many years experience. He understands his products well, and is very aware of all of the details of the work. He has been completely reliable, which I really appreciate. I live in California and we have communicated by telephone and email. When I inspect work done by Clawes I find no surprises. I recommend the firm highly.

Salesman provided expert advise on types of carpeting available and arranged for on-site measurements within one week. I agreed with total cost and an installation date was established. Installation team arrived on time, removed old carpets, and did a very professional job of installation and cleanup. The condo looked "brand new" when they finished. Also received a $100 Angie's List discount.

Clawes Carpet, Inc., is very personable; it's a family-run place. They're responsive by both e-mail and phone. They will walk you through a lot of options. I don't think that this is the lowest price but they seem like they know what they're doing and are very professional. Clawes Carpet, Inc., is actually fixing the horrible job that a prior contractor did with our hardwood flooring. They seem to have a lot of expertise.
Description of Work: Clawes Carpet, Inc., is replacing the carpet in three rooms and one set of stairs; replacing the hardwood flooring in three rooms and a powder room and they are putting in some tile in the foyer, in front of the door to protect against water damage.
