 + -1 moreThe job went very well indeed. Mike Addington did a phenomenal job. He was here daily, he was on time. He kept us informed of necessary changes to the plan. He helped us through the certification tasks and with negotiating with the power company for the service changes. His estimate was very fair. The task was done promptly and at estimate. We had no concerns about safety or theft. People with whom we had consulted earlier had told us some things couldn't be done, or couldn't be done the way we hoped: Mike did them--and did them better than I had anticipated. Working a major project like this is never really fun--this has been about as close as we could get. Thanks a million for the great work!
Description of Work: This was a very large project designed to correct some issues in our recently purchased home. At the same time we added a few more projects for our own benefit. Replace the service line from the weatherhead to the meter. (We ended up putting the meter in a new place and installing a new weatherhead and ground.) Move the breaker box from its original unsafe location to a newer, safer place. This meant putting in a new, larger box, moving the old circuits to it, and then installing the new services to it. Rewire the old water heater from an unsafe connection to a new service from the new box. Lights and outlets near a basement work bench. Outside outlet on the porch. Rewire garbage disposal. New GFCI outlets in kitchen, plus some additional outlets in the kitchen. (Unexpected) Rewire service to stove. New light fixtures in hallway. New ceiling fan/light in bedroom. Additional GFCI outlet in the two bathrooms. Replace ceiling fan/light fixtures in bathrooms. Install electrical and plumbing services, vent, and install washer/dryer in upstairs room.
