Absolutely fantastic!
Description of Work: I needed help to downsize and declutter. What an absolute delight to have Laurie help with this process. Within 8 hrs. Laurie organized my whole house, including filling and shredding. She also took everything that could be donated. I was amazed at her organization skills. I had hoped to get more done; but, paperwork was a slow process. MarybBeth and her assistant were polite, pleasant and professional. Laurie and her assistant worked for several days helping my sister and my father sort through the garage and kitchen of my parents' apartment. This included work on many boxes accumulated throughout my father's career. They were organized and had a very easy manner that made what could have been a very challenging task go smoothly. Thanks for all the help!

Since we had 4 hours, we got ALOT done. I never felt rushed and she had such a pleasant, calm personality, I never felt pressured. It was overwhelming at times to try to accomplish so much, so we took short breaks to regain energy and perspective. tShe kept me on track when I would get distracted, which was a big help (I suffer from ADD). By the time she left, she had put post-it note reminders of the things I still needed to do after she left. My session with her was enjoyable and productive.
Description of Work: Helped me develop systems for record keeping, organizing, time management, etc. We also went through a large box of papers I needed to file. She helped me with great ideas for keeping my business and personal files separate.

Laurie Beth and an assistant quickly heaped me work through organizing my basement for a cross-country move. Everything from going through keepsakes, to sports equipment to boxes of old business files. Really great process that had I don't it on my own probably would have taken me months of agonizing and days of only working through tiny bits at a time - was all done by lunch!

I just think her rates are too expensive. But she did a good job. We got through a lot of paper in the time given. She gave me tips on how to go through the paper and divide and everything. She made up some folders to hold them and all that.

Terrific-- right on time, we got everything done and she took all the extra away with her. I am calling her for another day to tackle my office and kitchen! I like that she works solo vs. with a helper-- it was all I needed-- we worked together and got tons done.

I highly recommend Ace of Space. Working with Laurie Beth was fun, and we got so much work done! My home office felt so cramped, and the papers and other items were confusing and cumbersome to work with. I found myself working in other parts of the house, and avoiding the place I most wanted to clean. When Laurie Beth arrived (a few minutes before our scheduled appointment), I gave her a tour of the house. I pointed out organization systems that were working for us, systems that weren't quite working, and left-over clutter that bothered me. She was very encouraging. I told her that the office was my highest priority, and that what I really wanted was clear work surfaces and access to the blocked file cabinet and the doors to an office supply space. Four hours later, I was amazed by what we had accomplished. We had an improved paper sorting system in place on my shelves, room to work at my desk and table, clear floor space, and access to everything. I generated a small bag of trash, a very large bag of recycling, a box Laurie Beth took to my basement, and a box Laurie Beth took to my bedroom. Laurie Beth is tall and strong, and had no difficulty hauling the recycling outside and moving boxes for me. I wasn't sure how a personal organizer could help with sorting my papers and making decisions. Laurie Beth had a strategic way of handing things to me so that I just kept going. I didn't get bogged down with things the way I sometimes do. I had paid for her time, so when things popped up I normally would have attended to, I put them off until our appointment was over. (Phone calls could be ignored, the dog could wait for a walk, I didn't really need to eat or take a break until our session ended, etc.) Four hours of non-stop work seemed like a lot to me, but Laurie Beth had a water bottle and an energy bar and she just kept working. I think her first priority was to make sure that I had flow - that I was working effectively and making progress. At times when I was working well independently, she was finding other things to do. She was pre-sorting piles, making labels, offering suggestions, creating spaces for things as I identified categories, tidying up office supplies, etc. She wasted no time at all. She never pestered me with questions about where things should go or what I needed to get rid of. She brought things to me, and she took things away from me. I never had to wander around - I stayed completely focused. One reason I have already had Ace of Space back once, and am planning to have her back again to tackle my basement is emotional. I just can't describe the emotional lift that a good personal organizing experience provides. To have help - really good, kind, efficient help - is amazing. I have spent many hours on my own working more effectively and having more fun due to this experience. When someone helps to energize you, to feel better about your space, to inspire you to tackle things you have been putting off, that is worth a lot.
Description of Work: I purchased a deal: 4 hours of personal organizing for $180. We worked in my home office. My home office had become a storage dump - papers piled all over the 2 work surfaces, boxes stacked tight under the table, assorted boxes and piles on the floor that obstructed access to the file cabinet. Ace of Space helped clear the space and make it usable again.

My one and only regret about hiring Ace of Space is that I waited so long to do so! On her first visit, Laurie Beth helped me organize my home office/spare bedroom. She arrived promptly and worked quickly, without judgment. Working together, we accomplished more in 4 hours than I could have in a month of Sunday afternoons working alone. Unnecessary documents were taken away to be shredded. Necessary documents were organized and placed in a manner where they are easily accessible. Charitable donations were properly documented and promptly removed. When she left, I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders! The experience was so liberating that I engaged Laurie Beth again to help me sort and organize my kitchen and pantry. As a result, cooking is now a pleasure and I don't purchase re-purchase pantry items that I already have. My home is no longer a whirlwind of chaos, but a restful retreat. My favorite part of the day is walking in my own front door. THANK YOU LAURIE BETH!

It was a terrific experience. Laurie Beth was very focused and kept me focused--I always got overwhelmed by the room. She helped me make lists for charity donations, straightened up everything, and we filled her car and me entry with donations! Exactly what I wanted. Now I know what I have and I know where to find it.

They worked at my speed and if I didn't know if I wanted to get rid of something, they simply put it to the side .They never pressured me to make a decision. They did have some good ideas and tricks to organize closets and drawers. my kitchen was a nightmare. I had so many duplicate gadgets. They would line them up so I could evaluate and decide to keep the one, or ones that now meet my needs. I had can openers that were over 20 yrs old and new ones that are designed for arthritic hands.
Description of Work: I am so happy with Loribeth. I had been ill for several years and my condo was starting to look like a hoarder lived here. Loribeth and her helpers came in sat me in a chair and proceeded to systematically room by room, closet and cabinet by cabinet bring everything to me and sorted objects into designated pile. At the end of the day THEY took the trash, donated or things that needed to go into another area with in my place so I didn't have to worry about disposing or taking anything anywhere

I like to tell friends that the money spent on having Laurie and her associate help me organize my home is the best money I've ever spent. And I would encourage anyone who feels overwhelmed with how to tackle home organization to not wait as long as I did! In 2012, Laurie and her team worked with me to go through contents of five bedroom closets and a linen closet and within four hours we had sorted through piles of clothing (donated, trashed and keepers!) and my overstuffed linen closet. What I love best about Laurie and her service is that they make this something that's truly fun. Honestly! I was in a good place mentally to clear out all that I could so that did help. But using Laurie's methods makes the sorting go very fast and it seemed incredible how much we got done in a short time. She returned in August to help me finish up the basement area (which couldn't be done last year due to water damage after Hurricane Sandy). I had spent the ensuing months fixing a leaky basement issue and she returned to help me go through the items accumulated over 40 years. I had dishes, cooking utensils, stored clothing, decorations, tools - you name it. To prepare, I purchased clear plastic bins in various sizes and a label maker. In less than two hours, Laurie helped me sort and organize the items we wanted to save and now everything is neat and has a place. One plus is that I've found I am able to maintain the bedroom clothing closets for a year and things still are neat and organized. What's great about Laurie's system is that she is able to list all the donated items and actually deliver the piles to a donation. On her first visit I had a lot to toss and she was able to procure a trash removal service to come within a couple of hours and for a nominal amount removed it all for me. All-in-all, it's a pretty

I was beyond thrilled. She is very patient and helpful. She asks good questions that help you make good decisions about whether something should stay or go so I felt good about what went. I also felt good about having her in my home and felt that I could trust her. There were several boxes I just didn't want to deal with today and she was fine with that. She did a lot of work and worked very quickly. She exceeded my expectations of what we would be able to accomplish in 4 hours.
Description of Work: I had 3 closets filled with various sizes of clothes, numerous shoes, a bunch of boxes filled with various articles, and shelves in the closets loaded to the brim. I also had numerous dresser drawers packed full. Laurie and I went through everything piece by piece and determined what I should keep and then she organized everything I was keeping in a logical manner. She helped me make difficult decisions about what to keep and what to discard. She also suggested logical places to store things (which we did). Everything was apple-pie-orderly when she left. She took the clothes to donate and will send me a list of them.

Laurie Beth of Ace of Space changed my life. I know that sounds extreme, but it's really true. I have ADD which makes it very difficult for me to organize things and stay focused. My house was a clutter nightmare that was not only overwhelming to look at, but impossible for me to get under control. It made me feel so anxious and scatter-brained. Laurie Beth dove in and got my clutter under control. Her gentle, no nonsense approach made me much less self conscious about having someone go through all of my things. She taught me how to stay focused on one project at a time. She created a filing system and taught me how to keep my paperwork and mail from piling up. I had years and years worth of filing and a lot to shred. She took the paper away and shredded it for me. We worked through the house systematically, not something I am able to do by myself because I am easily distracted and go off task. She helped me decide what stuff (clothes, household goods, etc) to keep, what I could give away, and what should be throw away. She documented the donations for taxes and took them to a charity for me. I never had to call a junk remover or order a dumpster. I never felt pressured to get rid of anything, either. I still go off task, but I know how to get back on thanks to Laurie Beth. When things start to get a little out of control, she helps me get it into shape again so that it doesn't turn back into a nightmare. I am so much more comfortable in my home. I have worked with Laurie Beth for a few years now. I will continue to use her services and I highly recommend her!

I cannot recommend Laurie Beth to you too highly. She is incredibly knowledgeable and creative, very customer oriented, hard working, full of excellent ideas, very positive, compassionate, and always shows a "can do" attitude. She never let me get discouraged and helped me through some difficult times of going through things from my brother and mother who passed away. Her suggestions have helped me immensely. For example, she suggested and helped me set up notebooks by room and topic to hold guarantees and instructions for items such as appliances and other items that come with guarantees. I had them all lumped together in file folders and never could find what I needed -- now, for example, if I need to look up something on how to work my new stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer, I know exactly where they are and can find them in a second! She helped me set up a multitude of files, sort hundreds of items of paperwork, and file them in a system where I can easily find them. She set up kitchen cabinets and cupboards so I could both find things and more easily use the things I had. At the end of a session, she takes away with her bags of items to be shredded, recyled or thrown out. She will also give items to charity if you would like her to and then provides a receipt for you for tax purposes. It is such a help to have all of this gone instead of having to take it all away myself. In addition, she has so many ideas to offer on organizing -- if one doesn't strike your fancy, she will suggest others! She has helped me create workable to do lists and processes for handling paperwork as it comes into the house each day. This is a person who "goes above and beyond." My entire house looks different from the work she has done -- a vast improvement! I will continue to work with her and cannot thank her enough for what she has helped me do. I am happy to recommend her highly to you. If there were a rating higher than A, I would use it!
Description of Work: Laurie Beth has provided many organizing services for me. She has helped me organize many rooms in my house, including my new kitchen, the dining room credenza, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, the recreation room, many closets and cupboards, and the utility room with many shelving units. She worked with me to set up procedures for keeping the organization, knowing that I don't have the best of memories on where things are placed (!), labeled many areas for me, and helped set up systems that I could maintain by myself. She helped me move furniture out of storage, took with her and gave away to a reputable charity many items that I don't need, took reams of sensitive paperwork to shred, and recycled bags and bags of recyclable items.
