It was a wrong impression on my part that this would be a servicing of the unit. It was more of an evaluation of the unit. In the future I will read the agreement more closely.

He was friendly, on time and professional.

They were prompt, thorough, professional, and did not try to oversell me. I will definitely use them in the future!

Robert...the technician called me at 9:30 am and said he was on his way. He arrived 15 minutes later. He introduced himself and put protective booties over his shoes before entering my home. I must say he was a very nice gentleman. He explained his and quot;diagnosticand quot; procedure checking the wall thermostat, fuse panel, etc and eventually went outside to check the outdoor unit. He came back 20 minutes later and explained the fan motor on my outdoor unit was bad. The cost for the diagnostic was $89. He had a book that showed me the price of the repair and asked for my authorization to proceed...which I gave him. He had a replacement motor on his truck and got me up and running again. He verified the system was working properly by taking a measurement of the air temperature coming into my den. It was hot! When he presented the bill, He explained that today's repair would be FREE! It turns out the motor had been replaced previously, and was covered under their 3-Year repair warranty. Terrific!

Initial visit was fine, even tjough he seemed more concerned anout sell us a service contract. However he didn't rush through the check up.

They were very thorough, had great customer service, and did an excellent job with the installation.

I purchased an Angie's Big Deal for a check and estimates. Commonwealth came on the day and time we discussed when I called for the appointment. The Representatives were very courteous and competent. They throughly checked and exmined our heating system. Our unit is very old and we were asked if they could provide an estimate for a new unit which we where not interested in at this time. They were totally professional and we would use them in the future.

Their price was reasonable. I was given a faster installation time than i expected. They came, did the work, and finished on time and cleaned up afterwards. I am very happy with the work they did.

I purchased the heat pump from Midlo Mechanical a few years ago and I was quite pleased with their installation. They were on time, cleaned up, and answered all my questions before they left. I have been fairly happy with their service since then. They fail to notify me when I need to schedule maintenance appointments and I had one technician who and quot;socked it to meand quot; with a large bill for something that should have been taken care of as part of routine maintenance. Mid Mechanic did not charge me, however when I called and told them what happened. Overall, I have been satisfied with their service and would recommend them to others.

Not much to tell; it took a little longer for them to actually do the work than I hadf expected, but they seemed to have done a first-class job.

The company came promptly and the technician, Robert Moore, was courteous. At the end, he recommended I have an EZ Trap with safety switch installed for $165. I declined at that time. Last month, I happened to have another technician from a different co. at my house, and he looked at the a/c equipment that's housed in the attic. He commented on the fact that the tape should have been replaced after the inspection was done, instead of being left loose. He also said an EZ Trap installation was a good idea, but his quote for that was considerably less than Midlothian Mechanical. This made me feel a little concerned that the original quote of $165 from Midlothian may have been inflated to cover the reduced 'coupon fee' I used for the initial service.

They arrived at the time they said that they would. Removed old air condition unit and replaced it with a new unit. This work was completed in less than 4 hours. Everything was done neatly and they were very professional and friendly.

I had a coupon. I think they did a good job but it hasn't been that long and it was running okay before I had them come out.

Service was good. They were quick in response. They had a good price and help with warrentee. They were very knowledgeable.

This company is great. I awoke Saturday morning only to realize my A/C was not working on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far. I called several HVAC contractors listed by Angie only to learn I would have to pay overtime fees for any work performed on the weekend...then I called Midlothian Mechanical. I was surprised to learn Saturday is a normal business day! Not only were there no overtime fees, they were able to get to me before lunch. The technician called me when on the way, was neat and clean on arrival, and even put covers on his shoes before entering my home. After completing the diagnosis, he explained the outdoor fan motor was bad and actually showed me with some type of test device. He had a replacement motor on his truck and had me up and running in no time. I was so impressed, I signed up for their comfort service agreement which gave me a ten percent discount on the repair. He further explained today's repair would be warranted for three years! I understand why they are an Angie's List Award winner. Mary

My house was only six or seven years old at the time and I thought that was ridiculous. I called the company and told them that the coil in their unit went bad and did they have any in their warehouse because I had been told that they were not made anymore. They said they were everywhere and there were a couple in Richmond. I told them to give me the name of someone else and I got it repaired for $1,200. I called them back and they said they didn't realize the system was that new. There were only two reasons that they gave me that quote: either they were incompetent or crooked; either way they are not the people that are going to work in my house. I had actually arranged to have them to do the work but I found someone else and called and told them to forget it. They were responsive and they were punctual when they were doing my service contract. I will never interact with them again.

The visit went well, but it is an old system and it needs to be replaced.

I'd contacted Midlothian Mechnical explaining that my air conditioner was not cooling the house - - that the unit was on and running, but no cool air was coming out of the vents. I then gave my contact information, and was given a date that a technician was available, and that call would be made to me to let me know when they were one the way to my home. I only had to wait a day. I met the technician at my home, and approx 20 mins later, the problem was resolved by replacing a part. Midlothian Mechnical also honored a coupon I'd printed from Angie's List, which help to reduce the cost - - a definite plus!

He arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem and performed maintenance. We are relatively new residents; he informed us that one of our systems is nearly new but the other (the one that required two pounds of freon) is 20 years old. He recommended a continuing service agreement; we are considering it.

Have old system so was worried about availability of parts. They checked availability of compressor over phone! That assured, I was willing to pay for a service call. The tech(Craig) arrived right on time and proceeded quickly to locate my problem. He also outlined my repair options. He was able with parts he carried to get my unit going, though with units this old there can be no guarantees. He actually allowed me to watch, over his shoulder explaining everything as the went, so I could see exactly what was needed. I thought the parts were a bit expensive, but then I'm an old guy and everything seems expensive to me. The 1 hour of labor was covered under the service call cost(89.00), so gripe about that. The phone rep was very courteous and prompt. A first rate outfit.

We were able to schedule an appoinment on a Saturday! They came out and checked our system and gave us an honest assesment of the problem for a fair price. We will definitely call them back again.

Midlothian Mechanica - Heating and A/C They busted butt yesterday. They were here from 8:00am in the morning to 6:00pm at night. The crew leader came back about 7-7:30pm that night to check and see how it was doing. Prompt, did everything they said they were going to. They cleaned up yesterday and it looks like they were never here. Friendly and un-intrusive while they worked. Very nice, Very pleasant. And our system is working very well. Most value quote with the warranty.

We just like them. We use them every year. They are usually on time and professional.

John Gibson came out to do an estimate for two A/C system replacements. He spent a lot of time going over different options to make the installation efficient and up to code. He also showed concern for the cosmetic result of the system install. He explained rebates, tax credits and the different systems Midlothian Mechanical sells. He explained the estimate and how the install would go. He seemed genuine about doing the job right. We have had two other estimates, with two to go, and so far none have stayed as long as he did.

My experience with Midlothian Mechanical was a very good to excellent. I received proposals from six contractors for very much the same unit and work. I carefully compared the proposals and researched the contractors. Midlothian Mechanical s proposal was fair and reasonable, their ratings with BBB (Better, Business, Bureau) and Angies list were the highest possible, their proximity to my home excellent, they could easily be reached by e-mail, fax or phone, and they offered additional services I may need in the future. Their proposal spelled out the units and model numbers along with installation specifics so I knew exactly what was included. The Company sales representative was very professional and responsive. The technicians were punctual and were successful at protecting our carpets and walls from installation and traffic damage. They were polite, professional, did a good job on the instillation. They provided a wrap-up review of the system they installed. I closely examined the installation and was pleased to see they had taken extra effort on the little things that most homeowners would never see. I have no trouble recommending Midlothian Mechanical based on my experience with them.
