In March 2019, I submitted a free quote request on their website and very quickly someone emailed me to set up an appointment. To speed things up, I ended up calling the office to make the appointment. I followed up via email with the original person that reached out to let him know I made the appointment and when it was since the main office gave him the appointment. No one showed to that appointment. I then called the office after about 30 mins and they that someone must not have put it on the appointment calendar. Hard to believe when I called and sent them my own confirmation. They then rescheduled me with the same employee for later in the week. For the second appointment, once again, no one showed up. No one ever called me to explain or apologize. I took off work twice and had had enough. This is a very large job and worth a lot of money so I am more than shocked that no one showed up...TWICE. Very frustrating.

Our garage door failed after only 14 months...had to have emergency service on the weekend and spent $200 to have repaired. Called owner to ask for some consideration regarding this repair. He would not work with me on it. I was prepared to purchase an annual service agreement for the next twenty to twenty-five years (app $100 per year). But he would not work with me. That's probably $2000-2500 worth service fees, versus $200...not good business.

They came as scheduled and replaced the rollers which were missing, installed new openers, and new safety interrupt lights. They also replaced the exterior keypad. The technician came on time and was very efficient. He cleaned up the garage thoroughly when finished and set up the four keypads for all three doors. He also assisted in setting the code for the exterior key pad. All in all a painless experience. The new doors are virtually silent when running and we are quite pleased.

When the two gentlemen arrived, they looked over my door and lift system. After their investigation they concluded that something was wrong but they were not sure what the problem was. They replaced my wall control unit with a doorbell button so the door could be opened and closed from the push of that button. I have a Chamberlain liftmaster 8500 due to low ceiling clearance. This unit requires a specific wall control button to fully function with remotes. They left after explaining they would need to order a circuit board and a wall control unit. Furthermore, they didn't know what the problem was so they wanted to replace both components to make sure the problem was with one of those pieces. I took a day off of work so they could tell me what I told them on the phone with my initial request for service. They came out and had no intention of fixing the unit as they had nothing to fix it with. I'm happy I took a day off of work for that. They later called and wanted to charge me $485 to replace a circuit board and wall button. I can buy a circuit board for $95 and a wall button specific to my unit for $40. The circuit board can be replaced with a couple of screws and plugging in the wires. I understand they have expenses and overhead. My problem is with the way the service was handled. I took a day off to have them fix it not to come tell me they need to order parts and come back to figure out what the problem is. I can order parts and replace them to see what the problem is myself without taking two days off from work. One for them to see what type of unit I have ( which I told them explicitly on the phone) and another for them to come back to try different parts. The final bill was $96.80 to connect two wires to a door bell type button that does not allow my remotes to work and is not the unit needed for my door control system. I fixed the door myself without taking more time off of work. I was even called a week later and told I was suppose to pay my bill at the time of service. The men who came to my house told me to not pay anything that day and gave me paperwork showing $0 due. The lady on the phone told me she was sorry for my misunderstanding of when payment was due. I explained that there was no misunderstanding and I would pay the bill in a timely manner from the point I received it. Prepare to have two days available to get work done. One for a consultation and one to fix the problem, even if you tell them what the problem is.

After receiving 3 estimates for 2 single garage doors to be replaced on our 1960s brick garage, we opted to try Apple Door Systems. The main reason we chose Apple was that Apple offered a cheaper version of a nicely styled door. We were able to purchase the stamped carriage style in a more economical version than we were offered by the two other companies. Of course, Apple also carries higher quality doors, but in our case, we were looking to update the house without breaking the bank. Apple's salesman was knowledgeable, thorough and low pressure. He arrived at the house with samples of their door material and their glass. This was a big help in the selection process. Apple also has a showroom where you can go look at the doors before installing. The guys who came to remove our old doors were friendly, competent. Due to the age of our old, heavy wood doors, they were required to play the whole EPA lead-paint requirements game. It was a bit ridiculous and even laughable, but they followed the requirements to a T while removing the doors from the property. Some repair of the mounting wood was completed before new tracks, new doors, and new electric openers were installed. Overall, we were very pleased with the service and price of the garage door installation from Apple. The doors are a massive improvement to our home, and we enjoy the convenience of pushing a button to drive in and out of the garage every day.

The office staff was very cordial and said that a technician could come the following day, also that I would be called that afternoon to let me know the approximate arrival time. The call came as expected and service was scheduled between 12 and 3. The technician, Ken Melson, arrived on the dot of twelve; quickly diagnosed the cause of the problem and fixed it. He was cordial, personable, and capable - the sort of person with whom one hopes to deal.

Very well, they replaced our garage door system with a much better one that is really quiet. They also identified and help us get fixed a water damage problem that could have been a lot worse had they not caught it for us early.

Gentleman showed up on time and quickly went to work. Repaired the broken door quickly and then serviced both doors. Took extra time to explain maintenance that I should do. Both doors work perfectly now.

I was a little concerned with my choice here as I knew Apple Door as a garage door company with a good reputation. They did my original garage door 25 years ago and I did use them for service. I was shocked at the price of replacement French Patio doors but price was high due to the sizes that I had, thus they had to be custom built. I priced out many companies for this, some were more and some much less expensive. I got to go to their showroom and see what they were proposing and quickly realized it was by far the best value of the many competitors, so I went with them. The arrived on time and did a great job with the installation, these guys actually take personal pride in the instalation and spent more time than what anyone expected but made sure it was right the first time. They even cleaned the glass like it was being prepared for a home show or special event. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking at door. My only wish is that they did windows, because that would have made a decision easy on replacing windows.

Due to the size of the door they sent a crew of 2, both were professional and knew what they were doing. These guys actually took a lot of pride in their work and tested the door numerous times to make sure it was perfect. I am very pleased

From start to finish, I couldn't have asked for a better company to work with. Their showroom was my first and only stop when I started looking for the doors. With no appointment, I was able to meet with a Salesman (Phil) who was very knowledgeable about his products and was able to explain exactly what they needed from me. I received and estimate and was told to call him when the openings were in place so he could confirm the dimensions and we would proceed from there. After the order was placed the dispatcher (Joe) called and introduced himself initially and again when the doors arrived and the installation was schedule. He called the day before to confirm everything was a go. The installer (George) arrived exactly when he was suppose to and went to work without hesitation or delay. He was cheerful and answered all my questions; he work ethic was amazing as he laid out an array of parts and pieces he assembled in record time. We went over locations for controllers and all were installed exactly as discussed. He cleaned up after himself and reviewed all the workings with me and seemed to be willing to take as much time as needed. This company has figured out how to do garage doors and they do it beautifully. I can recommend them without hesitation; they are and quot;a well oiled machineand quot;!

Great! I called them yesterday based on the great reviews I read on Angie's List. A live person answered the phone. She was very professional and knowledgable. She scheduled a technician to come service my garage door the next day. She called a couple hours later to give me the specific time the technician would arrive, between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The following day I received a call at around 12:30pm from the technician who introduced himself to me on the phone and said that he was running a little ahead of schedule and would it be okay if he arrived a little early to fix my garage door. Of course I said okay and he arrived about 10 minutes later. He was very professional and finished the work in less than an hour. He even replaced the light bulbs on my garage door opener (not the reason for the service call). I received a 5% discount for using Angie's List.

Great company. Came out quick. Showed up 5 mins prior to scheduled time. Representative was very personable, did a great job, made a few minor adjustments / repairs that were extra that he noticed but at no charge, and left the job clean. I thought price was very reasonable. I can highly recommend this company without hesitation.

They took their time. They were here. It actually took all day because they have to take the old ones. It was kind of a time consuming job, I would say most of the day. They looked wonderful. They worked beautifully. I thought I got a lot for my money. I thought the price was fair.

One of my garage doors suddenly slammed down to the concrete instead of slowly coming to a stop. Luckily it was only from about 2 feet but even so it was loud. I was glad it didn't break the glass windows in the door. It was on Good Friday and I thought it was going to be tough to get someone out. I called Apple Door and they said they were booked until next week. However, they said if it was an emergency it would cost another $100 for a technician to come out after regular hours. I said I needed it done as soon as they could. Got a call back in a couple of hours and they said someone would be there in the afternoon. James is the tech that showed up. He was very polite and friendly and didn't seem to mind me talking to him while he was working. He told me that he was not going to charge the $100 fee because he was able to come out sooner due to a cancellation. As part of their policy, he not only replaced the spring but he looked at both of the door motors and checked on the condition of the motor gears. He saw some shavings that indicated that one of the doors would probably have a problem in the near future I saw the plastic gear and it was very worn. The chain also sagged which he said was also a sign that the gear was wearing. He said if he tightened it that it might hasten the wear so he left it alone. Meanwhile, he lubricated moving parts on both doors and installed some plastic railings with clips to hide the wires that had been dangling near the chains for as long as I have been in the house (about 14 years). He said he had extra from another job and there was no charge. We talked a little about what I might want to do in the future as far as either replacing the plastic gear or getting a belt driven motor. He said the springs were rated at 10,000 operations and that the other one might go soon depending on how often it is used. Therefore, he suggested putting whichever car that went in and out more frequently in the bay that had the new spring. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend Apple Door.

Installer was polite, knowledgeable, worked fast. Came when they said he would, was done in 1.5 hours.

They had a good selection to choose from too. They installed the garage door at a river house that we have and the price was good.

My garage door had been opening by itself at all times of the day and night. Two other service men had come by and worked on it. When I called them back to say the problem had not been fixed, they said they didn't know what to do. Neither of them offered to refund my money either. When Apple Doors came, he checked over everything, but we couldn't get the door to go up on it's own, and he wasn't sure what he could do other than reset it. He did that and told me if I had further problems to give him a call. He gave me his card and his cell number. He was VERY polite and EXTREMELY helpful. I haven't had any more problems with the door.

It works amazingly well, so the workers were great problem solvers. They were also efficient and friendly.
