This was an absolutely horrible experience. This was a corporate move. It was really a bad experience. The first agent we had was wonderful. She left right after we made an offer on a house we did wind up buying. She was wonderful. She took us all over the place. It was a relocation from Rhode Island to Virginia. She really worked hard, but, she left before anything was finalized. The other agents we dealt with were absolutely horrible, absolutely, unequivocally, the worst I've ever had in my life. I would not recommend them to anyone, although, it was more the individual agents than the company itself. I would not recommend the company because of that. The first person was wonderful. We were under very tight, time constraints due to it being a corporate move. We found a house, made an offer on it, and essentially, that was pretty much her last day of work. She went to a job that's better for her, better for kids, and all of that. So, I can't fault her at all. Then they put us in with another agent that was supposed to complete the deal. It just wound up being an entire disaster as far as communication was concerned. I'm not saying we were blameless because we were familiar with the laws in the state of which we were moving from which was Rhode Island. I have found that all Real Estate laws are different in different states and different cities, also. Then they put us with that person, it may have been a husband and wife, I'm not sure. Because there seemed to be a personality conflict or something, they then put us with another woman. When we wanted to put contingencies on the contract, she did not listen to what we wanted. We finally wound up capitulating because we were under time constraints. I think she was asked to leave the company. We wound up with another guy to finish off the deal. The company took care of the costs. The quality was poor. We were shuffled around. I would use the first agent again, but, she's not with them. I will not use them. I will not recommend them.

There are only two words to describe professionalism and courtesy in real estate agents ...that is: David Phillips. David is an outstanding agent. My first and only choice. David is completely knowledgeable of the Hampton Roads area. He was always available by phone and e-mails. What started off as a dream long ago, became a reality this year and we have to thank David completely for guiding us along the way. We also found a friend in Hampton Roads.

Jo Ann coordinated all phases of our home buying experience, always with attention to our needs and our schedule. She offered suggestions but was never pushy in any way. She went above and beyond her duties and has become a great new friend. We would highly recommend her to anyone.

The commission will be 3%, but less than that will go to William E. Wood. We haven't closed yet, but Linda is the one who is helping us throughout the process. Linda approached us and what I liked about her is that she guided us throughout the process. She is very active and always on top of everything that is going on. She is not a pushy agent, she is intense, but patient. It is a nice balance. She used to be a teacher and you can tell she likes educating. She educated my husband in I in lending money, negotiating, etc. and we've always felt she was on our side. We have been very satisfied with the experience so far, she is an A+. We have the inspection this week and she continues to help us. She doesn't have set work hours, she works whenever you need her. She is very punctual, if we had a house showing, if she wasn't already there when we showed up she was there within 5 minutes.

I really liked Rose Hess. She pays attention to detail and returns your phone calls. She?s the kind of realtor who listens to what you want. I thought she was great!

I have used Susan as a buyer?s agent to help me find a house in Portsmouth area. I contacted her but she was out of town. Even though she was out of town she called me back almost immediately to make the first contact and she informed me that she would get together with me once she was back in town. Upon meeting with her she had a 40 page book which had information on the available properties in Portsmouth area. She was the nicest, most informative and most helpful agent that I have ever dealt with. She was very proactive, very upfront about the whole process and in all the parts of it. She was very good at getting right to the core of what we were looking for in a house. It took us 3 days to look at the houses over a course of a week and half to find the house that we were looking for. It was hard to choose because every single house we looked at was great. She was good at what she did. She walked us through the process. She has been very active in keeping us informed on what?s going on. We closed on the house this Thursday. I don?t have to pay anything out of my pocket to her but she gets a standard 3% paid by the seller. I am not only intending to use them in the future but I have already recommended them to my father and other coworkers who are currently in the market for new home.

Mike is great! We had a lot of fun touring houses with Mike and learning about our new region. Being new to the area, Mike was patient with us as we learned our way around. He and Bobby helped us put in offers on three houses. Both were helpful during price negotiations. Ultimately, our offer on a third house was accepted! Mike and Bobby assisted with all of the home buying requirements such as general inspections, termite reports, repairs, etc.
