I painted 90% of our 2800sqft house myself when we first moved in. I have a few years of experience doing both interior and exterior painting back in college and I can do a pretty good job but don't have all of the proper equipment for some things, plus, I have to consider how much I value my personal time. That's what brought me to hiring a painter to finish off the interior.. after 4 year :) I could have done the crowne moulding myself but the open 3rd floor stairwell and large picture window were just too high and difficult to get to. I decided to just pay a professional. I'll preface this by saying that I'm very particular and pay attention to details. Overall they did an acceptable job but there were a few things that could gave been better. First, they were punctual, polite, and professional - absolutely no issues there. They laid down drop cloths but I still ended up with a few drips and small speckles here and there as well as some smudges of caulking on the hardwood floor from prepping the crowne mouldings. My only significant complaint is that they didn't tape off the crowne moulding so there isn't a nice sharp line between the white woodwork and the darker walls. They brought rolls of tape but never used it. So while the finished product isn't sloppy, it could be better. Prep work makes a big difference in the outcome and I've taped off and painted all of the baseboard, windows, and door casings in the house with nice sharp lines. A couple other relatively minor things, 1) although they had rolls of plastic they didn't use it to cover any of the curtains they were working over. I initially asked if the needed me to remove the curtains and they said no, they would just hang plastic over them. Ultimately I don't really care either way so long as the are careful and don't drop or splatter but I don't see why they would take that risk. Last little thing is that they left a bunch of dried paint scraps in the stones at the side of my driveway from cleaning out their cans - no damage or anything but something I shouldn't have to clean up. I rated the price a "B" because it seemed a little expensive for the amount of work but it ended up taking them over 8 hours for 2 painter's and a helper. I just expected it to be more like a 4-6hr job. Still, if the quality had been top notch (i.e. nice crisp lines on the crowne mouldings, no additional clean up for me to do) I would have considered it well worth $1100 and given them an "A" for price. So overall I'm mostly satisfied, although there was room for improvement. I would probably hire them again but I would be more specific with my expectations.

Interior -The owner was very professional and communicative when he came out to look around. He took time to go through things. My husband liked his estimate because it seemed to cover little things which could creep in and cause the price to go up. That gave him more reassurance to pay a little more from the beginning and not expect any surprises. The work was done well and when we pointed out a couple of things the painters gladly went over it with a great attitude. Exterior-Had a few more areas to repaint. They came out and took care of it. Overall good experience. We would recommend them.

Wonderful! The owner came and gave the detail of the work to be done. Warranty, etc. was superb. Estimate was within reason. Workers were courteous and professional. They even provided a color consultant. We couldn't be happier.

Project went well. Painters arrived and applied plastic cover to side of house to protect against overspray. Overall, very professional job. It was a little disappointing that the owner didn't follow up with visit or call.

I was really glad this company could fit my small job in as they have a heavy work load. I have used them before and were impressed with the quality, professionalism, and speed of the workers. Same here. Very nice job just when I needed it before my tenant moved in.

Very professional and punctual. What little wood needed replacing was replaced, then house pressure washed, then painted(2 coats). The house was in bad need of paint and had been neglected. They transformed it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing painters.

They were more expensive than other contractors I contacted, but gave me much more information up front, asked about paint color, etc. Other contractors walked in, gave me an estimate with no further discussion. Very organized and professional. It took about a month to get on the schedule. I wish they had sent a reminder the week before as I was coordinating painting with carpeting and wanted to be sure they were coming on the date promised. I called them to verify the date we had agreed on. They showed up on the scheduled date and finished in one day. Found no paint splatter anywhere. Only one comment There was some tracked paint on my wood floor as they went in and out. It came up easily, but could have been avoided if they had used the "booties" before they left the paint area.

Excellent work performed on schedule. Professional and pleasant crew. Some plastering required and they recommended an excellent company which also provided professional, excellent work. Very pleased!

Gabriel was very responsive in providing an estimate/proposal. We struggled with scheduling due to weather - rain and temperature. Once weather cooperated, work was scheduled. Both the cleaning and painting crews were timely and diligent workers. They were careful in protecting plants surrounding the deck and in planters on the deck. Work was completed on time and budget. Have received numerous compliments on the appearance of the deck..

The owner was extremely professional and responsive. The painters showed up on time and were done in 3 days. They delivered what they promised and we were completely satisfied.

They came on the day planned and on time. They covered or moved everything. The paint job was very professional. They cleaned up after. The staff were very polite and professional. Looks great and I would definitely hire them again!!

I received estimates from 3 different companies. I researched each company, and while all had some negative reviews, The Painter had the fewest. The Painter also had the most professional presentation of their services. After some thought, I selected the Painter. Gabe, the owner, was the individual who provided my estimates. Initially, I asked for estimates for a three part project, to include some interior work as well and the front and back porches. I decided to just do the front porch as I was still repairing the back porch and the interior work could wait. Gabe was happy to accommodate. They asked for a 25% deposit, which I provided via credit card and they put my project on their schedule - about a month wait. Although I initially thought their estimate was a bit high, it was in line with others I received. They kept me informed of any schedule changes via email, confirmed the date a week in advance and again the day before cleaning and then painting. A week before the scheduled painting a single worker arrived to clean and prepare the surfaces for painting. He power-washed the trim and porch ceiling and throughly cleaned everything. A week later, after another email confirmation. 3 painters arrived at about 8:15 am. They sanded all areas, filled holes, primed the trim. They painted the trim white, including the interior of the porch up to the crown molding. They cut in and painted the porch ceiling, two coats, then cut in the white crown molding to give a sharp appearance. They used a high quality Sherwin Williams acrylic paint that is mildew resistant and designed for outdoor applications and left the remaining unused paint with me. They asked for a water hose to clean their brushes. The painters were congenial, professional and efficient. They completed their work about 2:30 pm or so. The final payment (remaining 75%) was due at the end of the job. I paid this via credit card over the phone with their office and received an email invoice almost immediately. I was present during the entire job and thoroughly inspected their work upon completion. I was satisfied with the results. The porch looks excellent. I would use them again.

Over all very well. They did arrive later than I was told but once there got a lot done. My only real complaint was they did not cover any furniture with drop cloths. I had moved the furniture to the middle of the room as directed but when the job was done I found a few spots of paint on a chair, and tables. They tried to get the paint off the chair but did not succeed. They were by far the most expensive estimate I got but when I asked they did give me a discount. Sad news is I just had carpet put in by Empire and they damaged the new paint job.

Ok, but I would have appreciated a walk thru with some one in charge to go over some issues, instead of we're done here's the bill. Probably wouldn't use them in the future.

Our house looks fantastic! The crew was professional, polite, maticulous, hard working. We wouldn't even think about using another Painter for future work.

The Painter did an AMAZING job. They worked with our tricky work schedule and were super professional. They performed a consultation and helped us choose the perfect color and finish. I received quotes from five other companies and theirs was by far the lowest. They were able to paint our 30' high entryway no problem at a very reasonable cost. They got in all of the nooks and crannies of our living room and kitchen. The project was too much and too high for my husband to do ourselves and their skills and fair pricing made it a worthwhile expense. I would definitely hire them again for future painting projects.

His quote was inline with the others I received. He was friendly and able to give me a on the spot quote, I didn't have to wait for someone to get back to me. He was very nice and gave a detailed estimate.

Fantastic company and the paint crew was outstanding. I was very pleased with the customer service. The paint that was used was of premium quality and extra paint was left for touch-up situations The subtractors who did the prep work were very professional and punctual.

Fantastic! I couldn't be happier with company or with the results. They really did a phenomenal job, they used high quality paints, and were very attentive to detail. They a little more on the expensive side but the quality of service they provide is really worth it. I am a very happy customer!

This review is a little overdue, but worth writing as I am so happy with the job done. The Painter, Inc. is a very professional company. The quote was given by Rod Hamilton. He was very nice and really helpful with choosing a color. What I love is that they have developed a key partnership with Sherwin Williams so that they can offer a lifetime supply of the chosen paint for touch ups or repainting. The brand Sherwin Williams is awesome. It doesn't get marks easily as compared to Valspar, which is what I used in the rest of my house. The painters were able to get everything done in half a day - a job that would have taken me three weeks with balancing work and other obligations. It is cheaper to paint yourself, but I value my time and so does The Painter, Inc. They will do the job well so you can enjoy a fresh space. Also, they offer a military discount of 10% for those who are eligible.

They hadn't done any work. They came out in a reasonable amount of time but they were a little pricier and more expensive than other folks in the neighborhood. They were professional. I didn't have to ask them to be more specific about some items. One of the problems was I had to have some carpentry done in addition to the painting but they don't subcontract the carpentry. The overall painting was $1800. I wouldn't use them at all. They recommended products that were not necessary for the job. They were trying to upsell me. My overall satisfaction was not good with them.

The Painter sent Rod out quickly and we spent over an hour with him, discussing the painting projects. When an estimate had not arrived a week later, I contacted the company and was told that Rod was working on getting it out to me that day. A week later, still no estimate so I contacted the company again in case of an oversight. The Painter still has not responded. This company has been unprofessional, uncommunicative and unpunctual in its dealings with us, behavior that is not what I expected given the relatively few but decent reviews on Angie's List. The Painter wasted my time.

Great! The painter was on time, courteous, friendly, and meticulous. I even had to tell him not to do so much precision like removing cabinet doors to reach a very small space. But if I hadn't said anything, he would have done it. Just a really quality company with expert painters. I've used them before and would use them again.
