Description of Work: We met Teresa at an open house. At the time, we were one of those people that real estate agents probably hate - we just liked open houses. We had no idea whether buying a house was a good idea or not. Teresa showed us the house, we talked for about 30 minutes and really liked everything she had to say. She followed up that conversation with a list of lenders she has worked with. We made some calls and also called our bank. When we were pre-approved with Bank of America we called Teresa back and told her we were ready to go. Teresa is partners with her ex-husband. They are a fantastic team. Louis contacted us to set up a search. He helped us find houses that met our basic requirements. Every day I would get listings to consider. I then made my own spreadsheet to compare features and check the s** offender registry and crime stats and Louis would show us the ones that made the cut! Louis is EXTREMELY involved in several civic leagues and projects which makes him very, very knowledgeable about the area. He treated me like I was his own daughter. Louis is also very involved with the ethical responsibilities of being a real estate agent and takes it very seriously. Louis and Teresa knew that we were looking for a very special house that could be made wheelchair accessible. They knew that we didn't care about having a top-of-the-line kitchen and that I loved all things vintage! When we walked into a house that they had shown previously to clients of theirs, I was only about 8 feet in from the front door when I 'knew' that this was my house! A couple of days later we made an offer. It was countered. We made a slight change to their counter and they accepted. The massive amounts of paperwork were easy to deal with because Teresa and Louis knew every line of every document from memory! We closed 5 weeks after we made the inital offer and are thrilled with our house! I would recommend Teresa and Louis to anyone looking for a real estate agent.
