The painter was very responsive while setting up the appointment for the job. He made calls to Sherwin Williams to ensure they had prepared the correct paint. He also said that I could put the paint on his account, he would pick it up and I could pay him $60 directly for the paint. On the day of the job, I wasn't there when he arrived but I'm sure he was on time. I arrived about an hour and a half after the job started and he was already done with the pressure washing. This was not a good thing. The house didn't look like it had been pressure washed at all. I stuck around for the painting. There were several areas where he let the paint run and dry; this formed drip lines on the door. There were also dried clumps of paint on the door. I had to stay the entire time to micromanage him. He got paint on the trim and on the siding and I had to ask him to get it off. There were areas on the shutters that he missed. For a professional painter, he seemed to lack attention to detail and all the tools that would assist him in doing a neat and clean paint job. After the painting was done, I had him to go back over certain areas that he missed while pressure washing. It seemed like he did not apply any chemicals to treat the buildup before washing; he just sprayed. When the job was done and I paid him, he asked if I paid for the paint at the store. I replied yes and he asked how much. I replied, "$55". He told me that he could have gotten it much cheaper and that I wasted my money. Then I reminded him that he was going to charge me $60. This painter was nice enough to deal with but he does not do quality work.

It went fine. He was on time--very hardworking. He's a one man outfit, but can hire on help if necessary. We are thrilled with the job he did on our house. It looks fabulous.
Description of Work: Painted trim and shutters and did touch up on trim in the house. He powerwashed first.
