Pratte Construction

Thank you Pratte Construction for my beautiful new floors. After being left with only subfloors this team came in to level out and replace damaged subflooring and install my new LVP. They were on time, explained everything they were doing and completed the job on time as contracted. To top it off they exceeded my expectation with freshly painted base boards!

I live in a historic district. Last summer, began searching for a contractor to replace my front porch. Multiple companies gave me estimates. Months later, I was finally ready to have the work done. It was a struggle finding someone who would honor their estimates. That’s when Doug stepped up. Originally, I thought he wanted to do more than what was necessary by replacing the undercarriage of the porch. But his assessment was 100%spot on! Doug fully honored his estimate. The Pratte Construction crew did a thorough job! In light of the current cost lumber, the estimate was a bargain and they completed the job on time. I’m now discussing to have them build new railings for the porch. Don’t think you can go wrong with them.

To be honest, I have been burned way too many times in the past by dishonest contractors who either did not finish the project at all or did such a shoddy job that the entire project had to be redone from scratch. On top of that, I was usually overcharged for the scope of the task at hand. My confidence and expectation of finding a good, honest, competent contractor was minimal at best. I discovered Pratte Construction through an internet search. I liked what I read in his webpage, including testimonials from former clients, so I contacted the owner, Doug Pratte, and set up an interview. WOW! Is my faith that good, honest contractors and workers do indeed exist restored! Doug and his crew began work almost immediately. I had a large project which involved removing a worn out patio deck and fence and replacing them with a new deck and yard fence. The project was anticipated to take at least 2 weeks. Doug and his crew were at the site on-time every day (in fact, most days they arrived early!) and began work as soon as they arrived. Many times the crew barely took time off long enough to grab a quick bite for lunch. They were always professional in appearance and demeanor, and worked long days without a complaint and with great spirit and attitude. In addition, they were always courteous and cleaned up their work areas before leaving each day. In short, the 14+ day project was completed in toto in only 7 days, and the resulting new patio deck and fence are top-notch! Every time a neighbor passes by my house, they comment to me about how beautiful and well-made the work was done! Would I recommend Doug and his crew to friends and neighbors? ABSOLUTELY! Would I hire Doug and his crew for other projects at my home again? WITHOUT RESERVATION! In fact I already have Doug penned in to complete a number of 'inside' house upgrades for me in the near future. PRATTE CONSTRUCTION ROCKS!!

Doug and company went out of their way to make me happy. The were attentive, thorough, and professional. They gave a fair and honest quote, and then, despite changes, kept to their original quote. The work they did was beyond exceptional. They easily met, and exceeded, all of my expectations. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to have renovations done on their home.

Job started off with a few minor bumps but after that everything went real well. Very friendly competent crew that showed up every day on time. I was very impressed with the ceiling work as they did a great job matching the existing texture to the point that you couldn't tell that the ceiling had been repaired. Same with the brick work, I had very old brick that they matched perfectly and the finished job looked incredible. I get complements all the time from my neighbors about how the house looks after they were done. I would definitely hire these guys again to work on my home,
