My HOA requires a type of gutter (half round, white) that not everybody carries. I contacted them based on their advertisement on a Homeorama that took place in the neighborhood. They made me spend lots of time for a gutters quote that never arrived (at least, formally). Escalating the issue had the same outcome. I first contacted them in March 2013 for a whole-house quote. They sent Mr. Ronald Oaked. He failed to show for two appointments. On the third one, he took measurements and then called to say he had lost the papers with the measures. He missed yet a third appointment and then left a quote on the voicemail without any indications on what it and did not covered, materials, etc. We requested a written quote specifying materials, size, warranty, etc., as it is required by the HOA for their approval. It never arrived. Several months later we contacted again the office to complain about the issue. I spoke with Mrs. Vivian Williams. She promised to take care of the issue. She sent Mrs. Evelyn Miles a few days later. I explain to her why we were upset and why this was their last chance to make it right before we walked away and complain to the BBB. I gave her a page with the information required to produce a request for approval for the neighborhood. She told us she already had found the measures, that she appreciated the instructions for the quote and that she would provide a quote within 10 days. About the ten days later, someone from the office called to say that they would not provide the quote, and that they did not want our business. Facts end here and now it is all speculation. I have read that the company founder, Mr. Alan Miles, was (as manager) a good man with a customer-oriented attitude. Unfortunately, it seems that the generational replacement is not following the same approach. Apparently they have a significant amount of work and prefer not to deal with educated (read, potentially demanding) customers. They like to make an appointment, give a quote on the phone and install what they think the customer needs, and not what he wants. Anyway. I am very happy that I did not finally do business with them. But to be fair, it troubles me to know that there is a company there that is arrogant enough to make you waste your time and then drop you off.
Description of Work: Failed to provide a written quote after several missed appointments, excuses and escalating the issue to the company management.

We met a representative of Miles at the Homearama. We gave them our name and they followed up with a call the next week. They came out and did an estimate , we provided the proposal to our homeowners committee who had to review. It was accepted and Miles came out to do the work. They did an excellent job in a timely fashion. The gentlemen that came were very polite and explained what they were doing each time. The job was completed as expected, even though the men had to work on some really cold days when it was very windy. Now all that is left is to wait and see what happens when it rains! So far - the new gutters appear to be doing the job, although we have not had significant downpour since they went in.
Description of Work: We had gutters put on the house, not all the way around, but in strategic places to keep water off the porch and entry ways. We had to have historically correct gutters based on Neighborhood association rules.

The experience with Miles of Seamless Gutter INC has been terrible. they said they would be back next week and never showed up to fix the numerous problems that were present. the gutters they installed changed colors when it rained. i kept trying to reach the owner and they kept giving me the run around. i will never use Miles of Seamless Gutter INC again

We signed a contract to get Gutter Toppers installed on our house. We gave the salesman a deposit of almost $600. Almost a month had past and no one had called us about when the work was to be done. I called and the date was finally set for September 24, 2008. The scheduler said something about the weather putting production behind. On the 24th, no one showed and no one called. I called the office on the 29th, spoke to the scheduler; she apologized and set the date for 10/6/08. When the workers got here, the foreman told us that one of the gutters was damaged and it would have to be replaced and we would have to pay more that the contract we signed stated. I told him we would not pay more, and the sales person should have seen it and written it in before we signed the contract just like the other repairs that he cited, and he proceeded to argue me down about how life is not like that, etc., etc. Instead of arguing with me, he should have been on the phone to his office, seeing what could have been done. We used the quote they gave us to make a decision about which contractor to use. When we chose them, we did not expect for them to try to charge us more after we decided to go with Miles of Seamless Gutter. After the workers left the sight, once I told them I was adhering to the contract, I called the office asking for my deposit back. The woman at your office said she would investigate and call me back. She did call me back and told me the work would be done as agreed and the gutter would be changed out at no charge. The problem I have with this is that I should not have had to go through that episode. I should not have had to fight to get the job done that we had paid a deposit for and signed a contract. That incident caused me a lot of stress and caused my blood pressure to rise. The workers did come back on that same day. They left that evening without saying a word. I thought they were finished. Tuesday passed, and on Wednesday, they came back to finish the gutters on the garage. They left again. I didn t know if they were finished or not. No one said a word or called. I went outside to inspect the work. Some of the gutter spouts that were to be raised up off the ground were not raised. One bent spout was not changed or raised. It was still bent and too close to the ground. After I called them again, they sent a worker out, and the work was finally completed. The process was not a pleasant experience. Afterwords, they sent us a bill with an amount that did not reflect that we had put down a deposit. I had to fax a copy of our contract to the office. Then I called and asked for my warranty to be sent in the mail. It was not done. Only after I went to the business in person and requested it was it done. I wrote a letter to the owner, sent the letter twice, and to this day I have not received a response. My elderly mother and I felt disrespected and as if our business wasn't appreciated.

Miles was prompt and initially appeared to complete a quality install. However, after first rainstorm noted that porch gutters were sloped away from drain. Miles promptly returned to correct the situation, initially trying to straighten, then removing, rerouting drains and reinstalling to ensure proper drainage.
Description of Work: Installed 100 feet total, seven separate sections of 5 inch aluminum gutters on two story house.

There were no existing gutters, so the job went fairly fast. They had to come back a couple of times to fix leaky joints and to completely re-do the front of the house. It would have been nice to know that the drip edge on the roof needed to be replaced before I had gutters installed. Now I have gutters, but the water still drips between the house and the gutter because of a problem with my roof.

They did an excellent job removing and installing our gutters. The quality of materials was excellent. I haven't had any problems with the flow of water or the lining of the gutters around our house. The workers were very professional and all of them had a good attitude. They were very friendly and seemed to know exactly what to do.

They were very quick, convenient, and best of all did a terrific job on our new gutters. The gutters are a good-looking product and gave our home an upgrade. The workers were very polite and made sure to pick everything up when they completed hanging our gutters.
