It has been 5 months since the initial meeting to receive pricing. I have requested the contractor to return to the site 3 times because the job is still not done. The contractor replaced the trim on one side of the roof only. Not only that, but they placed new trim on top of the rotting gable they were hired to replace as well. This is not a difficult area to reach by any means. To this day I’m at still waiting for this work to be completed and they have already been paid a large sum for work that has not been done.

Homefix was great! They did all the work in a single day. Everything was clean and efficient. It was a custom made door because of odd measurements created by the previous builders. Homefix knew what to do without a hitch. The door looks great. The air flow is significantly better. The door isn't leaking cold air like it used to. The workers were kind, respectful, and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend them!

Paul/Charles/Marc/Justin and crew, I could not have asked for a better experience! You all seemed honest, concerned and professional all the way through my experience! When you have to make such a huge investment, you want to have the assurance that who you purchase from is not just in it for the money but genuinely care about helping you to make the best decision. I commend each and everyone of you for your efforts and patience with me. The technicians that installed the windows did a good jov as well and the clean up was good. Just a few minor issues but I know that they will be resolved quickly!

It went awesome, ryan was so knowledgeable and when he showed us “his show stopper” we couldn’t refuse!! The company was phenomenal and ryan followed us all the way through!!! If you’re in the North Carolina area and thinking of any project call Ryan!! He’s not bad on the eyes either....

Very good job. Work was completed in one day - 10 windows were replaced - all on second floor. The inside cleanup around each window was thorough. Each window was wiped clean & the floors were vacuumed. All debris in the yard was clean up.

We had the roof on our 2640 square-foot house replaced with an architectural-style one in Williamsburg Slate, grey tones with subtle red tones. We are very satisfied with the roof. The guttering and fascia repair will be done soon. Emily Rinaldo, the HCR marketing rep., gave a thorough and lengthy (3 hours) presentation on every aspect of the roof. She is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The well-manned roofing team arrived on the day stated and completed most of the roofing in one day. The roofers had been trained by HCR and were not day-laborers or sub-contractors. They returned early the next morning and completed their work in a couple hours. No unpleasant surprises here! Financing is available.

Quality precision even when problems arose.

Home Fix installed new windows several years ago. As part of that they put aluminum siding on the bump out under my bay window. The windows are great and I was very happy with them, but I discovered last year that the siding was leaking into my kitchen and much of the wood had rotted. Jonathan at Home Fix stepped in and helped me to resolve this problem. The company sent a team of two men to build an entire new bump out. They did a great job and there was no cost to me. I appreciate that they honored their warranty without any debate.

I went with Homefix Custom Remodeling to fix my roof. They seemed very knowledgeable and professional during their sales pitch. I was leery of using them since the price they quoted was higher than a lot of other offers I had. I went with them due to there extended warranty plan that covered any issue with the roof. Less than a year later, I have a leak in my roof. I called to exercise the warranty. Months later, I keep getting the run around saying we have you scheduled for next week, but no one shows up and the technician whose number I have is very unresponsive. The one time the technician did show up, he told me it was that the wrong kind of flashing was used. Getting them to simply replace that has been a nightmare. I would not use this company under any circumstance ever again. They could offer me a project for free and I would decline.

Excellent. A little pricey but worth it for the product quality, expert installation and lifetime warranty. Initial meeting/estimate was professional and informative. Plenty of follow up so I knew work was in progress. When product arrived, installation was scheduled in a timely manner and was completed quickly and professionally. I've used this company for replacement windows and replacement kitchen-garden window. The lifetime warranty is wonderful. They have responded quickly and made necessary repairs/replacement at no charge!! I would strongly recommend Home Fix for quality and service.

Just got our new windows done, and I couldn’t be happier. True, we had some install issues because of the weather and such, but our account consultant Chris Dobbin couldn’t have been more on the ball! He was responsive, resilient, and never left us hanging. That’s some great service! The windows themselves are a wonderful product! Our house was built in 1974, and the windows we had were the originals. The difference between our old, drafty, not insulated windows and our new ones is night and day! Our new windows look terrific, and the noise reduction is notable and critical since I work nights.

Very prompt response via email and quick appointment. Very thorough questions.. What kind of job? how long will we be living in the house? Red flag questions: Will all decision makers be present? I explained that I am out of town and handle the finances for my elderly father but his son (who lives with him) would be present. I said we intend to get 3 quotes for each job and would make a decision after that. Salesman showed up on time. Smelled like an ashtray, but overall clean and pleasant. Gave some bizarre spiel about how they don't have a sales department, but work by referral only. Then 2 sentences later said they have over 80,000 salespeople. Also did the "I'm so crazy busy I ran out of business cards!" thing. Everyone knows that if you have blank cards and must write your name and number on them that you are a 1099 commissioned contractor- not an employee - and you likely are brand new or will never spend money to have cards made. I am a professional salesperson. Just say so already. In his defense, the man spent a lot of time and painstakingly reviewed all of the materials an processes they use - of course carefully explaining why all other competitors are no good. Here's where it gets bad: The fellow works up a "good,better,best" quote. The lowest level, which he made pretty clear is crap, was 3 x as much as the one other quote we have. The "better" and "best" quotes were 4x and 6x as much as the first quote. My brother said that we would have to consider and that we were expecting more quotes (which I had disclosed when making the appointment). He got very negative and upset that he had "spent so much time", and could not believe that they could not write a check and commit to the job then and there. My brother explained that i handle the finances, and was the only person who could write a check. The sales guy then announced that he had another appointment and this was a "now or never" situation. They asked for a written estimate. He said no. He is not allowed to do that. He finally scribbled the "good, better, best" prices on a scrap of paper. He said it didn't matter - they had to sign then; the price would only be good until the end of the day, after which it is no longer available anyway. It's a shame, because the substance of the presentation (using heat lamps to show the difference between gas filled windows, etc) and their construction methods and materials were very impressive to my father and brother. Up until the high pressure close, they were seriously wondering if they might be worth whatever the price might be. We would have liked to consider them and evaluate if their high prices could be justified by their quality, had we been provided a written estimate. I must say if the rest of what they do is run like their sales - and I assume subcontracted) I wonder how they stay in business.

Excellent. Mike MacCormack made a suitable offer as part of a standard bidding procedure of minimum 3 responsive bids (criteria: quality and price). The HCR team did an excellent job installing the PMVIA door. I watched them doing the job, and they were very professional and courteous.

Highly recommend Chris Dobbin from Homefix Custom Remodeling (HCR) if considering home renovations. After six months of research, and receiving several quotes for improvement in the Alexandria, VA area, I confidently selected Chris and HCR because of Chris’ customer service, HCR’s Better Business Bureau’s rating of A+, and the products available. Additionally, the installation teams were outstanding, which involved one installation team for widows and a patio door and a different installation team for siding. The installation teams left the installation areas clean as well as thoroughly explained the new products and ensured there were no questions. Although there was one small glitch involving a window insert/sash, the entire operations team and Chris Dobbin immediately sought resolution on the items in an extraordinarily attentive way. In fact, I plan to contact Chris Dobbin and HCR with more home improvements in 2019.

The technician was very kind and thorough during the installation of the counter-top. He took the minimum of time needed, while still providing the best service possible. And after the installation was finished, the technician left the area in a very cleanly manner. Chris Dobbin, the senior sales representative who helped set this appointment was very professional as well, calling the morning of the appointment and after it as well to make sure the technician had done his job well.

Wonderful! They called and updated us. They installled the doors when they said they were going to install it. They also cleaned up after themselves.

My townhouse is over 25 years old and still had the original builder roof. I started thinking about replacing it since a few of my neighbors had their roofs replaced mainly due to a recent storm that blew shingles off their homes. Being a super busy homeowner, I haven't had the time to even think of it so I put it on the back burner until... Michael Anthony arrived at my house to talk to me about replacing my old worn out roof. Our discussion detailed HCR ‘s roof replacement system - an education for me since all I thought was the old shingles were taken off the roof and new ones stapled on. Let me tell you roof replacement with HCR is not like that at all. Michael explained each step of the system to me. First, the old shingles are scraped off the roof. Then a 2mm barrier shield Is layed over the plywood sub roof to keep out moisture, and then the shingles are nailed on - three nails per shingle. This, he told me, would anchor the shingles so that in case of high winds they would not blow off. Did I tell you about the warranty? My new roof will not give me any worries for at least 25 years and it is transferable to a new owner of my townhouse should I ever decide to sell it. Oh yeah, if a shingle does blow off, they will come and repair it. Peace of mind! The HCR crew was very professional. They started scraping the old shingles off just as soon as they arrived at my job site. After all the old worn out shingles were off the roof, the fun began. It was amazing to me to watch a crew member swiftly carry each package of shingles up a very tall ladder to the roof. By the time all the packages were on top of the roof, the barrier shield was laid out. Then each single shingle was laid down and nailed. After all shingles were in place, the crew cleaned up the debris in my yard and in my neighbors’ yards. My new roof looks amazing! Michael contacted me on the day of the install to check on the progress. All went well! I now have a very beautiful roof that I don't have to worry about replacing for at least 25 years. When you see an HCR representative in your neighborhood, talk to him. You will be glad you did!!

Chris Dobbin was a great sales rep, with good customer service and very knowable of the Product.

The sales man Chris Dobbin, HCR scheduling staff and installation crew were very professional. Chris Dobbin espcially did a wonderful job of catering to my homes specific needs and following up during every portion of the process. My installation had two issues, which were rectified immediately. 1) the day of installation there was a mix up between the scheduling staff and installation crew. This mix up resulted in the crew not showing up within the selected time frame and my counter tops were not installed that day. Fortunately they moved fast and was able to get me rescheduled for the next day. 2) once installed the island counter top was 2 inches shorter than expected. I reported this to Chris Dobbin and he is working to get this situation resolved. Other than that the counters are beautiful and I look forward to spending more time in my kitchen.

Their work was great, we have no complaints! They showed up on time, did what they were supposed to do, and cleaned up after themselves.

They did a good job, everything turned out fine. They came and did everything that they told me they were going to do and did it well.

Short story: everything went smoothly and I would work with them again. Long story: After having my windows done by the same company and liked the work that they've done and their responsiveness to my inquiries, I was more than happy to use them again for the roof. Chris Dobbin, came to our home for the estimate and was very professional, but at the same time personable. He spent time explaining things to us and answering all of our questions. At the end of the day, I was impressed and more than happy to move forward and have them start working on our roof; in which they did the work when they said they were going to do it and within the estimated timeframe that it suppose to take to be completed. They went above and beyond my expectation. They showed us pictures of the progress from start to finish. My family has been taken advantage of in the past, when it came to getting repairs done, but with them I felt like they were legit and did the job they were paid to do. They fixed the problem, instead of covering it up and telling us the job is done. I feel that we will use them again for other repairs that need to be done in the future.

He was checking all the time our level (mine and my wife’s) complete satisfaction, and when we had a question about appearance of the roof in one place, the roofing people from the team were right there to address our concern. Great job! That was a reason we selected HCR. One day after long series of rains in our Germantown area my wife pointed to a large spot on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms and asked what we are going to do about it. It is always the touchy moment when something like this happens to retired people with the fixed income. The obvious answer was: roof has to be replaced, so I turned to Home Advisor. One of top recommended contractors was HCR. I scheduled an appointment and a consulting representative from HCR came to my hose very next day. It was Mr. Anthony Vp, a top rated senior advisor and consultant of HCR, who choose to meet with me personally to address my concerns and give me his expert advice on the best practices in the industry. I learned that Homefix Custom Remodeling company has very high ratings from different authorities in the roofing industry, and company's exceptional warranty they have on the job they perform. Warranty gives me a peace of mind, because you have to believe (you can’t check it yourself) that everything done is reliable and will serve you for years to come that comes with a 40 point inspection from the manufacturer!! I would like to give my congratulations to HCR for the impressive job knowledge of its employees like Michael Anthony. I agreed to schedule installation by HCR in two weeks from the date (no earlier dates was available), but later in the day I got a call that HCR found the team available to do installation next day! So all process took only three days. Amazing! I also need to mention that Mr. Anthony found for me a financing option which resolved my hesitation related to money issue and really helped resolve my concerns.
