They were the best quote in town. Significant price difference. They actually got us scheduled earlier than expected for install. Employees were on time, friendly, informative, and very good at what they did. They also spoke very highly of their owner. Had a issue with the driveway gate...came out within a week and fixed no problem.

Estimator was very professional, thorough and responsive to my questions. Installation was scheduled at my convenience without any complaint on the part of the scheduler and installers called prior to arrival as requested. Installers were polite and patient with my many questions and presence to make sure the fence was placed exactly where I wanted it. Installers were very persistent in locating the property markers to insure that fence was placed as close to property line as possible. Job site was cleaned after installation. Fence was installed professionally and looks great.

These comments apply to the Peninsula Office of Hercules Fence, 1807 Geo. Washington Memorial Hwy, York County VA. Company hired subcontractors out of Washington DC, who came down and hurriedly installed the fence in one day. First thing we noticed was the gates were sagging, some panels were installed with the screws on the inside, some on the outside and one pedestrian gate was installed opening to the wrong side so you had to step into a flower bed to exit the yard. We notified the company and the subcontractors came back out. We told them to fix the gates but that if that was all that was wrong there was no need to remove the cemented posts to reverse the panels so the screws were on the same side. Within a few days the gates began to sag again and we called the company. We asked for a representative of the company to come out and see if the quality of workmanship was up to their standards. When the men came out that were employees of the company, (not subcontractors) they told us there were several issues with the fence. The site lines were not correct which required pulling up posts and reinstalling. When they pulled up the stakes they found that the posts had been cemented in but the cement had not been watered in. They basically reinstalled the whole fence. Shortly after the subcontractors had installed our fence, our pond pump stopped working and my husband hooked it up to an extension cord until he had a chance to trouble shoot the problem. After the fence was completely redone, we lost electricity in our house. We called Dominion Virginia Power and when they came out they traced the problem to the fence. They dug up the yard directly under one of the fence posts and discovered the electric line to the pond pump had been completely severed and the large electrical cable coming into the house had been scraped on both sides. The Dom Va Power representative said it took a while for the cable to corrode enough to cut off the electricity to the house. Prior to beginning the work on the fence, the company called Miss Utility and the utilities were marked. The issue with the electric remains unresolved because we aren't sure whether Dom. Va Power will attempt to collect from us for the work done to repair the electric. Several times the workers showed up at the house unannounced. They indicated the and quot;office was supposed to calland quot;. The price was good, the fence seems to be good quality, the salesperson was pleasant, the workers who came out to fix the problem did a good job and were friendly and the company did resolve the problem, however, I am not sure I would want to hire them again, and if I did, I would insist that no subcontractors be used.

The company followed through on everything promised. They showed up when they said they would, provided an estimate within a timely manner, and completed the work as scheduled. We did not need an entire fence - only two sections adjacent to the neighbors' fences. We dealt with three companies trying to get estimates and they were the only one who responded as promised and did the work professionally and appropriately. .

Very well. Completed work in a bout a week. 2 years later the fence still looks great.

Process went very well. Sales person was punctual and very helpful with suggestions and options. It was helpful that he had many different pictures to show us on his iPad. It's nice to see local installations and not just pamphlets. We had a number of questions about type of wood and styles, and he seemed knowledgable about the company's products. The price was excellent. We got three other bids, all far more, and the discussions with those companies were not at the same level of professionalism as with this company. The work was very good. It was performed by two younger guys. They were polite, punctual, and appeared to have done a good job. The scheduling could have been better. On one occation, I received an e-mail in the morning that the workmen would be out shortly to start the work. The back yard area needed to be cleared first, and I told him that was not enough notice, so it was held for a few days. I know the work time can change, but two hours notice is not enough. The work started a week later. I put in a four foot gate on one site, and a five foot gate on another. When the work was done, neigher was the correct size. When I specified a four or five foot gate, I meant the opening in the door should be that wide. The openings were not within specificiation. I informed the sales person. He replied that the and quot;sizeand quot; is actually from the middle of the post on one site of the door to the middle of the post on the other side of the door. I do not know if that is standard, but my reply was that I specified the openings to be a certain size and that is what I expected. A few days later they workmen came out and corrected the gates. Potential customers, just be certain to be clear on this. Very good experience over all. I wish there were follow-up from the salesman though. Even though the work was good, one would expect at least a follow up from the salesperson. After the deposit I had to contact him several times and his response was a little slow. So get all your questions answered first if possible.

We hired a contractor to install vinyl fencing around our yard and they were the distributor for the product that we chose. Our contractor contacted them and set up the order, we were then able to call in our credit card number for them to place the order. They ended up not charging our card until the material actually arrived to their business which ended up being a wonderful surprise for us.

Emailed company for estimate via their website never received a response. Called and left messages and still received no reply.

They did a very good job. They came when they said they would come.

The company never returned phone calls to set up estimate. 2 calls made, 2 messages left within a 1 week span.

They were very honest. There is a place in my backyard where they said that I didn’t really need a fence and that I can just put it on just one section. They told me that it would cost me less money. They were very honest about different products for fencing. We were considering going with a composite material. The gentleman said that we will end up replacing it pretty quickly because they don’t really last well. The material was a lot more expensive than we ended up getting. They showed up when they said they would show up. They cleaned everything up the way they said they were going to. They were very polite.

My neighbor and I got the work done together. So my portion was like $3000. We chose them because they had the best price and they were highly recommended. I wanted the work done in a short time frame because I was going away for months. I wanted to be here when they installed it. So they did arrange to have it installed in a short time frame. They were very punctual as far as that was concerned. The fence itself seems to be fine. I have no complaints with the fence. My own experience with them was fine. The quality of their work was very nice.

They did a good job. I spent about $1100 for a fence very back at my yard. I had used them earlier and they had done a good job then too. They did excellent work. They were very quick, professional and very nice. I will use this company again in the future.

Hercules performed the estimate the same day they were contacted. As soon as the parts came in, the changes were made immediately. The job was very professional; we could not be happier.

The fencing went up first and went fast. There was a delay with the gate but that was due to a problem getting the parts. Once we adjusted our order to equipment available installation went smoothly.

Very professional. Came for estimate and work on time, as promised. Completed work in 1/2 day, 3 days after given the job. Will use again.

I had a representative from the company come out and give us an estimate. I had considered offers from other companies, but chose Hercules because it is a company that has been established for a while, and had good reviews on this site. I sent my deposit via mail and in no time they had scheduled themselves to come out and start work on my fence. There was bad weather the week they were here, but they managed to get to place the posts and concrete in my yard on the first day, and finished the job the next. The only complaint I have with this is that they didn't clean up after themselves very well on completion of the project. There seemed to be little, if no regard for my yard. They had dumped most if not all of the dirt they dug up onto a lawn that I had professionally aerated and seeded this past fall, and with the weather being so foul, there was like a mixture of mud/clay/concrete tracked all over the patio, driveway, and grass.

They removed the old wood fence and hauled it away for us. They poured concrete for the poles to steady it. The chain link fence and all the poles looked great when they were finished and we were satisfied with their service.

The crew arrived early in the morning all three days of the project, and worked until dinner time. They were well behaved and kept the yard as clean as possible under the circumstances. The entire yard was cleaned up at the end. The fence looks great, and compliments the outdoor area.

These guys explained what they were doing, which we liked. They were easy to work with and they very nice. They didn t leave any mess for me to clean up and I would recommend them to others. This was a real good company to do business with. I couldn t remember what the total cost of this was.
