I called Gary and set up an appointment to meet. He walked thru the yard and went over what each bush, tree, plant was and what to do with them. He is very knowledgeable and personable and I knew Immediately I had the right person to help me get my yard under control. When the date was set to do the work, everyone showed up when promised. Gary contacted me afterwards to see if everything was as expected and it was. I told him I would have liked a little more off a couple of trees and he came out and trimmed them up. I had a great experience with Gardens by Oz and will be using them again.

It didn't go well, cause they never responded to the phone request for an estimate.

Gary arrived at the time specified him and his crew got to work right away. They tore up our old walkway, we didn't want him to haul it away so he stacked it at the end of our yard as per our agreement. he cut out the new flower beds and put the sod that was cut around a tree out front that had bare spots beneath it. the whole process from start to finish took just 5 hours. When we noticed that there was a sprinkler head in the way of the new stone path we wanted to install Gary agreed to move the sprinkler at no additional charge. He came back a week later to finish that work.

Gary is great. Honest, reliable, reasonable. I continue to have work done. He makes sure his workman are professional and working hard every day. Gary and the company are very impressive. I will spend over $20,000 before the backyard is complete. He is simply awesome!

My experience with Gary was awesome. He calls back and does what he says he is going to do. That is so refreshing. What I also liked is he was able to give me suggestions on some other stuff I had questions about. I never felt pressured and we had fun together. I really appreciated him and would highly recommend him. I will call use him again.

nothing was done update work will start next week. update: Gary used what he could from my other pond to help save money and updated some of my other materials. He and his crew came on time and worked in the bitter cold to get the job done on time. I was very pleased with what they did.

Gary showed up with four helpers and got the water fall going. The pond kept losing water and I was told I needed a new liner @ $600.00 for the water fall. The crew returned with a new liner and installed it, but the pond kept losing water. During many weeks, Gary showed up but left me to monitor the work and the loss of water. The new pump kept running dry due to the lack of water. I was worried the new pump would burn up without water. I was constantly monitoring the waterfall, the water level and the pump. Most of Gary's "work" after the initial installation of liner and washing of stones consisted in phone calls. When he was on site he spent his time on the phone with other customers. At the end, Gary thought the leak was in the pond, and I might have to re-line it. Now I am not even sure the liner in the waterfall was needed, as it turns out the leak is in the pond. The last time Gary was to show up (sorry I can't exactly remember the date - I was too aggravated), he did not. When I called, he informed me he had some work hiccup and would come by in the next couple of days. He never did show. I left various messages to see when he would finish the job, but did not receive any return call. The crew left behind a torn up large plastic garbage pail, which I had to dispose of. In November the well pump was winterized and without being able to refill the pond daily, the vatful is out of service. I believe that this was not an easy job to figure out, and more time consuming than Gary had at first thought. Maybe he decided to forgo the balance owed, instead of putting many more hours into a job, that was more involved than the money he still had coming. Obviously, at this time I do not want him to finish the job. Next spring I will have to start over again and get the waterfall working permanently.

The person seemed nice but this was not a professional organization. He scheduled an appointment with me but did not show for the installation. He said that the rain had delayed his other projects. I tried calling a couple of days before my project but the call was never returned. He did call the day the installation was to begain....at 5pm to tell me that he couldn't make the appointment.

I have admired Gary's work. A friend of mine has worked with him for years and her yard is amazing. When I saw angie's list big deal with gardens by oz I jumped at the chance. Offer included consultation and plan for a water feature for 59$. I emailed gary late friday night and he responded with appointment for Sunday.He was prompt, even arrived 10 minutes early. We walked the property and gave me excellent advice on landscape design.The design and proposal were ready on Monday .the design was fantastic but I was not able to have it done this year. Gary explained his other services including lawn maintenance and one time winter cleanup, etc.. He was available the next day to do winter cleanup. All leaves were cleared out of beds. Shrubs were trimmed including a large holly shrub the he trimmed as a tree...looks fantastic. I have since hired him for lawn maintenance.

I spent $35 for lawn mowing and edging. They do an excellent job. They come in, get it done and when I need some other things done I like hedges, trim, I call them and they come and do that. It costs obviously more, but they do a good job. They get in and get out. They come on Wednesdays. I am considering using them now.

The price would be less without the leaves. They sometimes do extra work for us, and so the price kind of fluctuates. They do a great job. They are very consistent and take care of everything. I call the owner directly. He wants to hear from you directly and so I call him, and when I need extra stuff scheduled. He came over and met with my husband and me when we first moved in and gave a ballpark figure of everything that he would do for the home. He has been taking care of the yard at this home for like 15 years and he knows it inside and out, and so we went through. Of course, we want to have some things changed and he is working with us to have some things changed. He is great. All of his customers directly have his phone number and will call him and make arrangements with him. I think that they are bit high on the pricing but I don't know for certain though, but you kind of pay for the quality. They never miss and they are always here, and they do a great job when they are here. They are in and out quickly with no fuss, and they clean up really well. I know that we are paying a little more than what we could but they do a very thorough job.

I have recommended to him to friends. I have continued to use him because he does great work and is fair in his pricing. He is exceptionally consistent.
