I was thrilled with Brickstone, from the first visit to the showroom, to the installation of the final product. The countertop is a real work of art. We selected a split face granite edge which gives the countertop a very distinctive look. When the coutnertop was installed, I was absolutely amazed with its beauty. Brickstone did exactly what they said, every step of the way. I was anxious to get the countertop finished and installed so that the bathroom remodel could be completed. But you can't rush art - and you can't rush the curing of 2" thick concrete, either. The end result was spectacular. The installers were professional and very pleasant. The only problem is that now all my other countertops in the house look puny in comparison and are screaming to be changed!
Description of Work: Brickstone made a custom concrete countertop for our large master bathroom. The countertop measured almost 17 linear feet at the back side - very large.

Our experience with Brickstone Studios was just awful! Immediately, we had to stall the onset of the project due to the fact that Brickstone had no viable plan for the drainage that we had placed so much emphasis on. We refused to let them start until they could present one to us. A representative of a drainage supply company was brought in and we were presented with a solution to the drainage. Sounds great, huh? Not so. Then, as the job progressed, first a major electrical line was cut while we were out of town for my Father-in law's funeral. Then, on a day in the summer of 2010, that was 105 degrees the concrete was poured and stamped (sort of). This is not supposed to happen;excessive heat or cold and concrete do not mix. Anyone in the business will tell you this. Further, the stamping went totally south. Areas were missed, others were not pressed into the concrete hard enough and others were "just ruined". Many , many more things are wrong with this project; too many to list. Then Brickstone had the audacity to bill us for the drainage system over and above the contract (in spite of the fact that it was included in the contract) because it was costly and they had not done their homework prior to their bid. Our opinion is that this company does not know what they are doing. Nor do they know how to make a customer, that they have upset, happy. Life is too short; please do not hire this company to do anything for you. There are too many other, very reputable companies, that we have found since this happened, that will do the job for you. P.S. We are suing Brickstone Studios; do you want this type of headache?
Description of Work: Grassy areas were to be removed from a very large area around our pool. Because of grass being removed, drainage was a very large concern of ours and was addressed frequently during the initial interviews and the subsequent signing of the contract that included a provision for drainage. Concrete was to be poured in these areas and stamped into a design of our choice. Further, the existing concrete around the pool was to be stained to match the new stamped areas. Brickstone represented themselves as being very experienced in this areas; they are not.
