Brabble Insulation, Inc. Of VA

My husband called and they said that someone would either call or come by the next day, but we still hadn’t heard from them two days later. We won’t be calling them again because they never contacted us again and I found a company that I like better.

Never received a response.

Over all it went very smoothly. I had contacted three companies listed and reviewed highly on Angie's list for bids. Each company came out and as usual gave me slightly different opinions of what needed to be done, options, and costs. Some wanted to put in a baffle under the foam, some wanted to use thinner foam, some wanted to paint the inside surface (to meet code requirements) at an enormous price, some wanted an huge price to remove existing fiberglass batts. Brabble's representative, Greg, was very personable and obviously knowledgeable. He explained code requirements and different options to meet them. He was the only rep who sent me copies of the applicable code sections with his estimate so that I could judge for myself. After review all three proposals, only Brabble's was sent via email, I decided to go with Greg/Brabble. Here comes my only true complaint with Brabble. I had to try repeatedly to get in touch with Greg. I allowed that he was quite busy and working in the field as well as doing estimates. However, after leaving numerous messages on his phone and the company's with out response, I had almost decided to go with another company if I received no response after one more effort at contact. Luckily (for them and me) I did. From then on the job proceeded quickly and efficiently and I had no other major complaints. Part of the job involved removing existing fiberglass batts and that was accomplished without mishap. The foam installation was also done in a very workmanlike manner. The foam depths were consistently as promised. Batts were installed over cured foam and the covered with foil paper as per code in a neat and workmanlike manner also. Some minor dirt and debris was not cleaned up below the access door to the attic which would have been nice. But this was not a serious problem. In summation, I was pleased with the job and would recommend this company.

The Brabble saleman impressed me with his knowledge of the trade learned from years of experience and suggested the appropriate methods for insulating my home. I had decided that in addition to the typical insulation I would add a radient vapor barrier on the roof rafters to reduce the temperature inside the attic. This is not typical for the insulators, but Brabble worked with me to install it and did a good job. I thought the job was well done and the price reasonable. In addition, communication with the company was easy. Since special materials were ordered scheduling required a few calls to determine when materials would be available and work could be scheduled. The workers showed up on schedule and completed the work in a day and a half.

They wasted no time in getting here to do this job. They were within code of what was to be used for our home. They left no mess for us to clean up and it only took them one day to complete this job. Their prices were very reasonable.
