Please Stay away from this company because there flat out SCAMMERS. There isn’t any other simple way to put this and I thank God I have ring cameras inside and out my home along with the surrounding areas because this company tried to charge me for a service they didn’t even perform. It started off with me calling Area 757 heating and cooling Friday night around 9pm. According to what they falsely advertise on google it says they offer 24/7 service which that was the first lie. They did answered my call but scheduled me an appointment for Saturday morning @ 9am. I thought no biggie but the next day the technician showed up an hour late to my house and I even had to call for an ETA. Need I remind you I was not physically present my fiancé was home while I had to work this day but I could have see and hear the technicians every move from outside and inside my home. When the technicians arrived he stayed all but 11 mins. From my outside camera the recording shows the technician unscrew and open my HVAC unit cover he look inside touch some wires without tool and examine the unit then got to his truck came back and put the cover back on. He did not replace a part or nothing all he did was simply took the unit cover off then fastened the cover back on. He then proceeded to came inside of the house turned on the thermostat to cool and set it to the desired settings and told my fiancé he replaced the AC capacitor (lie) and to wait 30 minutes for the temperature to start dropping to our desired setting. Now this is the 2nd lie cause I had a brand new capacitor put in from Atlantic heating and cooling last year. She waited then called back about 2 hours later to let the technician know that the house still feels the same. So the technician proceeded to tell her that our fan motor is out. Now wait what… This is where eyebrows began to raise because why did you say you replace a capacitor (lie) when you know the fan motor is out then proceeded to have the ac running for the unit to go bad. When my fiancé told me the news I immediately looked at the cameras and watched the recording to see what work was done and looked back on my emailed receipt from Atlantic heating and cooling to make sure what part I paid for brand new last year. What’s mind boggling is not only did this technician lie about a part he never put in and do the work but he tried to get over on a woman who he taught didn’t have a clue about and HVAC system and that’s what bothers me because they tried to get over on her when I wasn’t home. But my cameras don’t lie. I called 757 heating and cooling to explain to them what I seen but the employee started to get very unprofessional by yelling to get his point across. When he should’ve been trying to understanding the customer not the customer trying to understand him. First the logic isn’t even right they said they put in a ac capacitor but didn’t put in a fan motor then came in the house and left the ac on. That’s like me putting a brand new battery in my car knowing that my alternator is bad and it’ll drain my battery. This is the type of unknowledgeable/ unprofessional that can honestly go to a different level with me because not only did they not do there jobs but this company tried to get over like my fiancé and I are stupid. They did not charge me cause I caught this company in a complete lie and I made sure to call my bank and put a block on the payment. There after I called Atlantic heating and cooling which where very professional came in 10 min and they found out the real problem which I was low on refrigerant. They charged it up for me and I was very appreciative after dealing with such shallow money, hungry individuals that knows nothing about HVAC. Long story short buy surveillance cameras, because the small companies will try to get you for all that you got, and it’s ridiculous that they are scamming people like you and me. And go to a reputable company like Atlantic, heating and cooling. Area 757 are blood sucking leeches

Simply put this company has no professional ethics. As the narrative below shows their technician was deceptive in his assessment, obtained money for work that did not need to be performed, and then after they called and promised me at least a partial refund they never followed through. I am reporting them to every regulatory agency I can and may initiate legal action. On 7/13/2019 they responded to a service call at my home for the HVSC A/C tripping the circuit breaker. The technician informed me of the $75 service fee and stated if I had work done that would be deducted from the bill. The technician examined my system and stated the circuit breaker was the right size for the unit then stated the A/C unit was pulling high amperage and required a “Hard Start Kit” and a “top off” of Freon. He quoted me approximately $135 for the kit and $75 for the Freon which he did not do in writing. At the end of the job he stated that the repairs should resolve the issue and if they did not is was that the compressor in my unit would need to be replaced. The bill was $550.00 and showed no deduction of the service fee. Although this was much higher than he quoted I paid it as I needed the A/C. His explanation was that he was quoting me parts only and the rest was labor. He was here only about an hour doing the work and that seems excessive. Soon after the technician left the breaker tripped again. I called and the technician returned the next day. He first stated the circuit breaker could be damaged but the company were not electricians so could not change it. He then stated that the circuit breaker being bad was unlikely and the reason for the failure was the compressor needed to be replaced and my options were $3,500 for a new compressor or $5,500 for a new outside unit. With the damper system I was interested in purchasing from them for $3,000 the total would have been $6,500 to $8,500. He pressed me to make a decision stating I could get the outside unit the next day or I would have to wait up to 3 days for a new compressor. He also stated that if he changed the compressor or outside unit you would also change the compressor – even though he previously stated they could not. The technician also stated the company had not cashed my check and that if I purchased from them they would credit the $550 toward the new system and dampers. Fortunately, I became suspect of these actions and decided not to buy anything from you at that time. I then called another repair company. I explained over the phone what your technician did and sent a copy of the invoice. They informed me I significantly overpaid for both the “hard start kit” (which they described as a very inexpensive part) and the Freon. They then requested, over the phone, to photograph the data plate on my unit and the circuit breaker. I did so and was informed that when the new panel was installed the breaker installed for the unit was too small and would naturally trip when there was a high load on the system such as the times of high heat we are currently experiencing. On their recommendation I purchased the correct breaker as reflected on the data plate; installed it by cutting the power and changing two wires; and the system works fine. The other company has a tech come by to check the system and there is no issue with the compressor. They did all that AT NO COST. In conclusion, I feel I was significantly over-charged for some work I did not need (definitely the Hard start kit) and that they almost talked me into very expensive new system I did not need when the problem was a $9.95 breaker from Lowe’s. Just for your information, the old breaker is fine. It was just the wrong size. I then wrote the company. They called me with soem story on how the technician was fired for similar complaints and they were going to talk to the owner about repaying me "at least half" of the monies I paid. I never heard form them again.

When it became obvious that our second story was not keeping warm, we asked our handyman, (Mike Daniels Home Repair, A rated on Angie's List) who he would recommend, and he recommended Area 757 Heating and Cooling. My phone call was returned that day, and we set up a meeting for an estimate. Tori Rome was on time and very thorough, and told us our gas furnace in the attic was old and needed replacing. This was also what an independent home inspector told us little more than a month before. He said he could replace just the furnace, or the complete system including the coil and condenser for the A/C. We chose to replace the entire system because of its age. They arrived on time, had the heat working that day, and returned the next day to finish the installation, which included putting the outdoor unit on a platform the same height as the primary unit, since we live in a flood zone. Although not one of the "big name" HVAC contractors in the area, I was impressed with their service. They showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and their cost to replace the entire system was slightly less than a previous estimate was just to replace the furnace alone. I will definitely call them for any other HVAC work I need.
