It was an awful experience with the instillation and they damaged my unit, the whole nine yards. It was terrible. They don’t have a customer in their thoughts, they don’t keep to their words, they don’t keep appointments and quality of their work was really bad. They overcharged me for a very cheap unit. They charge me the price of something I could have got somewhere else that was much nicer. The way they ran business they should not be in business. I stayed home from work and they told me they were going to come out several times and they just didn’t make it out. I had to use vacation time to get the job finally done.
Description of Work: They said they were going to send a professional but they send someone who had just graduated from school and nit very repeatable.

Technicians came out twice a year and (allegedly) performed work that was part of service contract. But last summer my upstairs A/C unit stopped cooling. I called my home warranty and their technician said the claim would be denied due to lack of proper maintenance. My compressors were completely clogged with dirt--the fins were barely visible due to years of dirt accumulation. This overstressed the system and caused the evaporator coil to blow a leak. I called Alliance. Their paperwork (like mine) showed that compressors had been cleaned. They came to the house (the owner came along, which I first took as a good sign) and the evidence was undeniable. They were then surly, defensive and rude in response. They blamed one of their techs, who had recently left the company. They cleaned the units, but dismissed all responsibility. Owner suggested I was to blame for not keeping an eye on their tech. He offered no compensation. He left the house quickly and seemed nervous.
Description of Work: I took an annual service contract with this company when I first bought my house. The terms were fairly standard for the industry: twice a year they would come to the house and check the heating and cooling systems, perform routine seasonal cleaning and maintenance on all compressors, handlers, etc. The price was very reasonable, which matters to me because I own a town house and have a two-zone system (Apollo). During the two years that I worked with them, they came to the house a total of 7 times, which included seasonal maintenance and a few service calls when problems arose with the upstairs A/C unit. I should also mention that I have a home warranty, which I use for major repairs. In the interests of full disclosure, my system is old (17 years), although it performs very well and effectively when properly maintained.
